Sreejith that's 100% true but that is not an efficient way to fight back loneliness. She just spends her money on nothing. In the end of every night she ends up more lonely than before. Of course this is my opinion and I don't mean to insult anyone. Thank you
+Haruma Watanabe-Shimazaki This is how many women in the developed world are going to wind up. They will die "old maids." That's because marriage sucks for men. So why get married?
That's what they say too, that japanese guys are meh as boyfriends/husbands. But for a girl like her (that seems like a wife material) it would be awesome if she finds a guy who'd love her back
She probably passed up the right guy a dozen times when she was younger in pursuit of the bad boys, now she's getting old and the good guys don't want her anymore, she gets what she deserves.
ruin3r Umm...I heard her say they cheated on her or are you now going to say she's a liar to? Boy have a tall glass of shut the fuck up you don't know her to make those statements
She seems so vulnerable. She says she has been exploited in the past but here she is paying for gigalos to get pissed . I think she knows no other way of life.

I hope she found the right person for her by now. If the world's conciseness could move toward more empathy and love for each other, we'd all be in a better place.
It can be traced back even farther than that, I think. In The Tale of Genji, a massive novel written about 1000 years ago by a lady-in-waiting in the Heian Imperial Court, the protagonist is a superbly handsome and intelligent and graceful nobleman called Hikaru Genji (Shining Genji), and he is basically the idol to which these men aspire, whether they know it or not.
The host club is a cool concept. Especially for single women. You might feel like going out and dancing, want company, but not be bothered or harassed by anybody. Sometimes you just want to get out and have fun in a safe environment. We probably couldn’t have such a unique place in the states.

I dunno how to feel about this. All these people here saying 'good for her' and women empowerment.... I'm a woman and single. I know all the liberties that come from the single life. But this has nothing to do with women's liberation and all that hoop-la. Nor is it about cultural differences. Rather, I feel like this woman in particular is still burdened by the things she wants to get away from. She's still tied down by her dependency on others to give her happiness. Granted, Host Clubs fill a void and any single woman (or man since they got Hostesses too, gentlemen) should pamper themselves. However, I feel like Host Clubs can become the equivalent to a drug or alcohol when administered in wrong doses to vulnerable people. Both provide temporary happiness but for a price, especially when one becomes dependent on it. It would be one thing if this woman genuinely loved the single life and was happy being in her own shoes. However, to me, she looks like she's bypassing the sadness/anger she feels from the past with a hot man and a puppy. Not only has she generalized all men as cheaters based on her past lovers, but her relationships outside of the Host are indifferent/distant. In the video she admits that the puppy helps with her loneliness. To me, this aren't the actions of a woman 'celebrating' her freedom. It's more of a woman trying to cope with her past losses and hurt. In a way, this woman is buying herself control and reassurance. She knows this Host man will never hurt her because the limitations of their platonic relationship have been set. He will never 'cheat' on her because he's not obligated to her nor she to him. All the same, this woman's decisions are based on fear; fear of rejection and of getting hurt again. Living the single life and living out of fear/sadness are two very different things. That she's still dependent on another person (Host, puppy) to give her happiness means she still has a loooong ways to go before realizing her own incredible self-worth. It's a struggle many women/men endure everyday, which is why so many failed relationships happen in the first place (we confuse the idea of being loved to actually being *in* love). I don't think these pessimistic attitudes against 'love' are found exclusively in Japan. It's an indifferent attitude found in today's society. I've noticed that, as a whole society, we've removed romantic ideals in exchange for immediate gratification. It reflects a lot on how we communicate 'love' today... with only a click of a mouse. It's also unfortunate that many countries, from Japan to the USA live to work than work to live. Hearing her mention the debt for women in Japan and her inflexible work shifts, it reflects just how much the people of any country suffers when financial security surpasses the pursuit of personal happiness.

I didn’t notice her being “spoiled” by these “men” one bit. SHE paid for everything and the guy she likes best never even showed one bit of affection towards her!! He barely touched her! And when he did touch her, it was more of a friendly pat on the back type of touch. The ONLY thing I saw him do for her was carry her purse to the elevator 🙄 Big whoop. I mean, obviously she enjoys it or she wouldn’t do it. I just don’t understand them saying that she was “spoiled” by these people 🤷🏻♀️
I think it's amazing that there's a specific outlet for girls who are the introvert type. It's amazing to me that young men such as them are kind enough to create something as this. You'll never find that where I live.
Not everyone wants to be a housewife or have kids or get married. Why is that so weird? Think about that, why is that so important? Now the only thing I did find alarming is that it seems like this particular woman is disconnected with people in general, like family and friends. But this isn't the norm in Japan, so calm down.
Um I think it kinda is because Japan's population is actually going down because most people are either too lazy to find a partner or had bad experiences with the opposite gender plz correct me if I'm wrong
It's not the norm. They have a low birth rate because people are getting married later, women don't freeze their eggs then they just end up having 1 kid. The US has a birth rate of 2.2 Japan is 1.9, both countries have a low birth rate. Their population is going down because they have a lot of old people who are dying as well. It's not because they are 'lazy' they just are having different priorities than marriage and kids.
Most women leave the workforce when they get married in Japan (they're expected to) and have a baby. And only a very small percentage returns to work after a baby where as about 80% say they WANT to return but it isn't acceptable for a woman to do so. I can't remember the exact statistics ... but it is a problem. So many women just don't get married. They continue to work as long as they can.
+Jay is right, this isn't the state of Japan in general, this is the state of one woman with no friends (except a neglected dog) who doesn't even realise the situation she's in. I mean, lending sleazy guys money - she has no idea.
exactly. I doubt she's putting any effort in actually cultivating a relationship with a man. This is the equivalent of some dude who "hires" sex workers.
nicholas cato is that why she gave money to so many men who cheated on her? Is that why she's still friends withvthe ex who banged a girl at her place? because she doesn't invest in relationships? What sort of dumb judgement are you passing when there are so many facts afainst that in this video?
nicholas cato certainly there are selfish and materialistic women, who don't care about others, but, in the case of her, it seems all the bad experiences she had in the past, made her lost trust in other persons. As she explained, she made an effort before and then gave up about trying to get a relationship.
l don't really think the host clubs are a bad thing, I mean you go there after a stressful day at work and talk/drink with cute men :3 But Keiko seems super lonely, doesn't keep in contact with anyone really >< seems like a sad life.
yep mainly depends on the person . some people just go because the hosts are more handsome than many ordinary men . Host clubs are ok , but I doubt a host club can save someone who is in a deep depression . After all the hosts use tatemae , so even if they are nice to you , they are doing it only for the money , so a host isn't someone you can trust . If it's only for the fun is ok , but you can't go for a serious talk in a host club .
Ever think maybe she moved to get away from her family and maybe just doesn't want to hang out with the people she works with? Like she said with her hours it is hard to meet new people.
Maybe an arranged marriage would be okay for her to consider. It's not really as bad as people think. You meet a Matchmaker, who has a folder of people who are looking to get married. Then it's like tender, but low tech. You say "I'd like to meet these people." They arrange the meeting with the people who also are interested in you. Then you kinda date for a while. If either party wants to back out, they can. Nothing is forced. But it weeds out the people who date just for fun or sex, because both parties KNOW that the other is a potential marriage partner and has agreed to it. The biggest problem is being left over, (which I HATE about Japan) there is a saying in Japan "nobody eats Christmas cake after Christmas." Which refers to the fact that no Japanese man wants to date or marry a woman over 25..... Yup.
Viral Shifthahaha I know! I kinda feel sorry for the little puppy though. chihuahuas are a breed that need a lot of love, attention and companionship, locked up in a little cage all by himself for hours in a tiny appartment untill she decides its time to come home from work or her rent-a-boyfriends...breaks my heart!
also I'd like to add that I am an extreme lonner. I have no family members who have known where I live for about 10years. I've never had a Christmas or Thanksgiving. it never bothered me till recently I'm starting to feel the effects of my isolation. I feel it is why I am incapable of having a real relationship. even though I'm quite intelligent I can't seem to find a way out of this self imposed exile. so it is quite easy for me to see how this is happening on a large scale
Hi,i support u! I know that feeling too. Please do know u will be able to feel so much more after facing it and seeking help from social workers.(I did that before and it worked)
Hi! I'm the community manager of this channel, and I have/had the same. Working on it. Just to tell you, there is a way out. We don't have to remain alone. If you think about it, there's quite a bunch of us lonely souls. Sometimes I wonder if we should set up a platform to meet or support each other. Maybe it already exists? In any case, there is growth in sharing with others. Talk to anyone. (the cashier lady at my supermarket loves/hates me because I talk so much :D )
How many people think this is coming soon to America? Marriage is at an all time low. The hookup culture is high. Girls night out club culture is increasing. Women are marrying themselves now. And many men are going Mgtow.
Things have changed. When I was a young soldier in Japan in the late '50s, Shochu was kind of a joke. It was the cheapest hard drink there was and was thought to be very low class. So, naturally, I made a point of drinking it regularly. I might add that I also liked it. Now it seems to have high status. Ah, the times.
CHI LONG QUA wow that’s so awesome you fought for Mengde during that time period, it must’ve been so different back then. Can u tell us more about the culture of Cao Cao in the 220s?, I’m sure lots of people would like to know what it’s like
There is actually a documentary called The Happiness Project (I think, it's been a while since I saw it) that goes into Host Club life, which I vaguely remember a host saying that it's not uncommon for them to be drinking well over 15-20 drinks a night.
@@MetropolisHUMAN Boi, she's stuck in her own world where she thinks that If she search a new man he would cheat on her, she hadn't had contact with her relatives and maked her unsocial in a bad way, only sees negative things and doesn't seem to have some kind of interest like a hobby only work, work, work. I think she should try to move elsewhere, I mean the sexcapital where she lives isn't exactly where you find men with relationship interests. Of course she ll find only cheating bastards. But that's my opinion, she's gorgeous no doubt on that, but she needs to show some character, probably sure she has one, like everyone else does.

Serious Comedian Really? You think you can sum up a person in a video that's less than 10 min long. There is an epidemic of loneliness in the world, it's not always a fault of the person who is lonely. Other people here are saying she should reach out to her family, not all families are loving & considerate. In fact they can be quite toxic and harming--emotionally, psychically and physically. Better check your own personality, bud.
@@ohthelovelypoems but her personality is a product of the world they live in. We nearly there in the West. Life is no longer built around community, building and maintaining relationships etc. Everything is instant. The fact she rent boyfriend means she doesn't have to face herself and deal with her issues. Tinder is product of the culture.
This girl smokes when she wants, drinks when she wants, parties when she wants, lives in a sweet crib, plays video games when she wants.. shes living the dream!
Yes, but she is lonely and she gets genuine kisses only from an ugly puppy. Real, unconditional love is worth the sacrifice of unaccountable, irresponsible, careless fredom
But this is a very superficial life ...and while it looks like she's living the dream life ..she must be lonely and very prone to depression .. although she's an independent woman and has the liberty to lead the life she wants ...she could try to seek some stability in life . Also reduce her smoking and drinking too
4:52 - She hit the nail on the head. The majority of married people I see are not happy. Why waste your life being unhappy for the sake of being in a relationship?
this pretty sweet for me honestly. instead of "oh lonely women go to predatory companies that take money from lonely people", I look at it as "lonely people come here to find comfort and to just talk with other people.
That puppy! *_* SO CUTE. I cannot handle the cuteness. Keiko is very pretty. She seems so lonely. :( As much as I find host clubs to be sad if you really read into them (due to basically paying someone to be your friend), I find them appealing. >.< I could see how it's nice to be able to go somewhere and basically unload after working so hard. Not to mention, they have handsome guys. If there isn't much socializing going on in someone's life, I could see how going to a host club may be beneficial. I think the women should take advantage of the fact that they could meet other women their age and make friends, but that may not suit some people. :D
I feel really bad for her. in most cultures especially Japanese a women's worth is measured by her beauty. now it can be said that we all find different things appealing. she doesn't seem that feminine or attractive. it will be hard for her to find a man (especially one like the male host who is extremely attractive & kind) in that type of culture.

KawaiiKiwi08 omg I thought I was the only one. xD
Japanese hosts are top notch. From hello to goodbye there's never a dull moment. Such sharp professionals.
Jay **be a housewife/househusband or have kids or get married
+Jay is right, this isn't the state of Japan in general, this is the state of one woman with no friends (except a neglected dog) who doesn't even realise the situation she's in. I mean, lending sleazy guys money - she has no idea.
This guy says it well at 6:22. He forgot to mention that they are also empty and sadly superficial women as well.
Nice to see your comment Ryan! People are just trying to hide the truth. I freaking love your Dreamcrushers man.
Ryan Boundless they got money to buy attention, but less time to develop a real relationship #fact
RENT...can I BUY one of those cute Japanese boys ? LOL
OwlCUlater lol
Definetlyyyy
I'm assuming you're homosexual? I only say this because most ladies would find these guys way too feminine.
Lionel Hutz you want masculine men? Then go to Africa!
OwlCUlater three stores down on the right for that.
Wow.. Having sex with an ex who cheated on her.. Yeah that's a way live... Lol omg lord
Some people find it atleast bearable compared to hiring prostitues or strangers...
What a miserable life
:] big time :] :]
And? I don't think you know a thing called, "sex friends" or "friends with chemistry".
Absolute no respect for herself
She must be insecure as fuck
l don't really think the host clubs are a bad thing, I mean you go there after a stressful day at work and talk/drink with cute men :3 But Keiko seems super lonely, doesn't keep in contact with anyone really >< seems like a sad life.
WolfRukia19 yes, it seems quite light and fun, depend on how do you see it. I feel the same way about Keiko.
yep mainly depends on the person . some people just go because the hosts are more handsome than many ordinary men .
Like she said with her hours it is hard to meet new people.
i would really like to visit a host club once with my friend haha just enjoying time !
Reaktionships should be genuine without the interest of money. People should be friends of each other and enjoy company with each other.
This must be one of the saddest things i have ever seen in my entire life.
Looks like the reporter is a bit tipsy at the end LOL.
We work 40 hours a week. Nobody has time for dating. Every modern country is like that.
we work 48 hours a week. and we have time for that,
When i first watched Ouran Highschool Host Club ... i never expected something like that to be real.... now i stand corrected ....
Deanna mmcc ok
Keiko looks so depress like she about to cut her wrist any moment damn.....
Wish more people didn't feel so pressured to find someone. I say more power to them, if they're happy then I don't see it as an issue whatsoever. :)
Yup.
Omg I wish this documentary was about the puppy
hahaha
Viral Shifthahaha I know! I kinda feel sorry for the little puppy though. chihuahuas are a breed that need a lot of love, attention and companionship, locked up in a little cage all by himself for hours in a tiny appartment untill she decides its time to come home from work or her rent-a-boyfriends...breaks my heart!
billskitten it looks like she spends a lot of time with it
Viral Shift you mean the rat?
Verne March yeah
also I'd like to add that I am an extreme lonner.
Please do know u will be able to feel so much more after facing it and seeking help from social workers.(I did that before and it worked)
come to mama😃
I'm afraid this comment is gonna be highly related to me as well, and even worse, I know there's nothing that can be done about it
@@mimiyak143 Ahahah
Wow I would love to hear his side of this business. It seems sad from both sides
How many people think this is coming soon to America?
Marriage is at an all time low. The hookup culture is high. Girls night out club culture is increasing. Women are marrying themselves now. And many men are going Mgtow.
This all already happening in america bro
Not for the Hispanic culture
Natasel whooo relax there bud.
If you want to know where the U.S. is going culturally look a Tokyo, they've always be about 20 years ahead of us. Yes, this is where we are headed.
@@thesorrow4664 us real men need to take a stand!!!
This is good progress, men should be paid to listen when women talk.
😂😂😂😂
Well played well played indeed :|
Only the cute ones of course.
:D LOL! True
I was a soldier in 220s fighting for Cao Cao. I'm almost 2000 years old.
CHI LONG QUA wow that’s so awesome you fought for Mengde during that time period, it must’ve been so different back then. Can u tell us more about the culture of Cao Cao in the 220s?, I’m sure lots of people would like to know what it’s like
Please tell us more.
AH, she's playing Final Fantasy XIII. I like her.
haha I know right
YES
That's some small rat... I MEAN dog.
honestly those dudes have really shitty jobs. Think about it, Getting drunk when you don't want to amounts to torture. I'm not even being sarcastic.
There is actually a documentary called The Happiness Project (I think, it's been a while since I saw it) that goes into Host Club life, which I vaguely remember a host saying that it's not uncommon for them to be drinking well over 15-20 drinks a night.
Bonzai-Tronne I saw it too! It was floating around on Netflix, I believe. But yeah... It's crazy what they put themselves through.
these girls must be making lots of money to be able to afford this kind of lifestyle
Yes but at what personal cost?
Not like they do it every night or even weekly.
but at the same time the hosts are good at getting customers to pay for more drinks and stuff before the customers realize it
Oh ma God that puppers is SOOO CUTE!!! XD
We have this in America it's called guy friends........ -_-
One day all the friendzoned guys in America will realize how unfair this is to them and then they'll start opening host clubs and make money out of it
One Day.... I will be waiting... lol!! jkjk
Why not now lets start the funding Reanna Barnard
YEEYAH!! lol
I'm broke I need the money.
Truly a broken generation
*Blvd of Broken Dreams by Green Day starts playing* 🎶
The real problem is Keiko's personality.
Why is it a problem?
@@namelessman8097 That's what I think too bro u are right way up to the point mom and dad lives and family is there for a reason in your life. Always believe in your Family they will guide u they will give u the only thing she lacks that's is Hope.😊😉👍😀😁😂
ALL I WANNA KNOW IS:
Can whoever did that man's hair hook me up with some layers too?!
if u like hair u can follow those men. Though i don't think they are man.
I want to be doing what these guys are doing, actually seems pretty great!
First thing I thought about was Ouran host club. I watch too much anime.
God..where's the LOVE???... the world needs love... japanese need to know wht is love and be loved...Geez..
What's wrong with the world MOAMAH!
There's someone out there for everyone
Well, this video shows reverse prostitution where Men are the ones whos being paid.
Lol it's the exact same in China. But the opposite. Men pay a bunch of women to hang out.
That's the way real things are
This is so sad, Japan has so many lonely people (same tbh) 😟😔
How is it hard to find a partner there!? They're all smooshed together on a tiny Island!?
hahahaha
Japan looks like a beautiful country with amazing food. But some of the cultural values are FUKEN WEIRD🙃
It seems like a totally different world. The divide between city life and village life in Japan is insurmountable.
Isn't it the same in every country? Or is it specific to Japan? Do you know?
Anyone else notice that she was watching Burn After Reading at 2:56?
Game of thrones i think
I think I need to rent a boyfriend soon too.. im losing hope
Sure but it is a fixed contract. Holla
Ouran High School Host Club?
Omgawd that dog she has is the cutest so tiny 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Wow this life is boring. Its just drinking and pretending that you have fun but from the inside you want to explode.
beautiful reporter with a beautiful name...
This girl smokes when she wants, drinks when she wants, parties when she wants, lives in a sweet crib, plays video games when she wants.. shes living the dream!
Eddy Kim yes!
And has nobody to share any of this moments
She's getting cold and lonely
Yes, but she is lonely and she gets genuine kisses only from an ugly puppy. Real, unconditional love is worth the sacrifice of unaccountable, irresponsible, careless fredom
But this is a very superficial life ...and while it looks like she's living the dream life ..she must be lonely and very prone to depression .. although she's an independent woman and has the liberty to lead the life she wants ...she could try to seek some stability in life . Also reduce her smoking and drinking too
Bet her bank account is never above zero
4:52 - She hit the nail on the head. The majority of married people I see are not happy. Why waste your life being unhappy for the sake of being in a relationship?
this pretty sweet for me honestly. instead of "oh lonely women go to predatory companies that take money from lonely people", I look at it as "lonely people come here to find comfort and to just talk with other people.
Same
I honestly don't go deeper on why lonely people go to host clubs where they give you a service equally for women or men
God damn I'm depressed now!
That puppy! *_* SO CUTE. I cannot handle the cuteness. Keiko is very pretty. She seems so lonely. :(
As much as I find host clubs to be sad if you really read into them (due to basically paying someone to be your friend), I find them appealing. >.< I could see how it's nice to be able to go somewhere and basically unload after working so hard. Not to mention, they have handsome guys. If there isn't much socializing going on in someone's life, I could see how going to a host club may be beneficial. I think the women should take advantage of the fact that they could meet other women their age and make friends, but that may not suit some people. :D
I can see why she chose him. He’s gorgeous 😍😍
The dog is much cuter, those guys don't seem that manly...
lol funny.
I found the dog to be adorable compared to the guys as well
Lol
I thought that they didn't seem girly enough
SunnyAegyoify3 with that attitude you don't seem that womanly.
What a broken soul. Sad.
06:47 I saw a pack of Marlboro red in her table
Whatever...she's havin a great time...that matters....personal freedom
Me: Thinks of Ouran Host Club
she looks very sad... :/
How can the countries be so different from each other :o interesting!!
Vymoon you can think of countries as human farms. That's what countries are basically. Different experiments are made on different countries
Very Interesting, I wish the documentary was longer.
We do have longer travel series documentaries on our other channel: ruclips.net/user/vproworldstories
Watch The Great Happiness Space. It's a documentary about Host Club life and it's very interesting.
Which one is the male host? I am confused.
was thinking the same thing
8:53 ; tap on the shoulder = friend zone
Yes, a totally friend zone
I hope she find happiness
I literally cried when I saw that cute little puppy
what dog is this? so cuteee
It's a chihuahua.
it's a rat that barks
Zekee27 loool
She is making out with the dog O________O
it's a harambe
