Good video. I need to pick up the spinner bait more this year. It truly is a forgotten bait for a lot of us out here and I am definitely guilty of that. I know it still catches fish just need to pick it up and throw it again.
There has been only one time that I did that and it was when I was fishing for smallmouth that were just popping the bait. Other than that, no I don’t.
I've watched a lot of your videos. Helpful stuff! I have caught a lot of good fish on spinner baits. Its one of my favorite go to lures. On the other hand I have thrown the chatter bait a lot and never caught a fish on one. I've tried swimbait and craw trailers. I will say I have only used the z man chatterbaits under $10 so not sure if the more expensive ones do better but I have been reluctant to spend any more since I haven't caught any fish ever on the ones I have. Do you have any suggestions on preferred spinner baits and chatterbaits?
I have literally caught one fish on a chatterbait. My personal opinion is that it's the most overrated bait I have ever seen. I have much better luck on a spinner bait but I fish the Tennessee river so a spinner bait might just work better in certain water.

So many people have stopped throwing spinnerbaits and went to chatterbaits..I still love spinnerbaits ,around docks, laydowns.

I've had good luck around wood with the Zman project z chatter that has the weed guard.
Yea that weed guard can definitely help, I just like to have that open hook when I can

Sometimes it just happens that way. Chatterbaits will definitely catch them, but it aint as easy as they used to be
