    This new drop in trigger upgrade from Johnny Glocks is a great addition to any Glock 43x, Glock 48, or clones such as the PSA Dagger Micro or Shadow Systems CR920. What what is the difference between the 4311 trigger and the JG Combat trigger? In this review of the Johnny Glock 4311 trigger for the G43x pistol, I will go over what is good and bad about the trigger along with any problems I may have had. I will also compare the 4311 trigger to the Combat trigger. Enjoy another trigger review from Nightwood Guns!

    Hey everyone! Just an additional point I want to add after watching the video back: the combat trigger's "wall" happens earlier in the trigger press vs the 4311's "wall" that happens further back (mimicking a 1911/2011 trigger) So if you prefer working the trigger further out where an OEM Glock trigger normally breaks, the Combat is the way to go. If you prefer to work the trigger further in (closer to the frame like a 1911/2011) then the 4311 is your trigger. Hopefully that helps!

      So the trigger became too hot to touch. That’s why they make gloves.😂
      In all seriousness though, I appreciate you at least mentioning that is a drawback. I just pre-ordered one because I don’t foresee that being an issue for me, but I’m definitely intrigued by this. I’ve been carrying a 92 Beretta for 10 years just because I love hammer fired gun triggers. I like Glock, but the trigger has always been the biggest downside to me. Hopefully, this changes that.

    Going from 1911/STI pistols I hated not only the grip angle but also the trigger of Glock.
    With that said I installed the 4311, and after a little smoothing of the trigger safety stop, it breaks as clean as a mid level 1911. No, its not Staccato clean, but its still good.

    A question: you say that the Evo-x is more like a Glock trigger (rolling break) but @johnyglocks says in his comparison video that the 4311 is the one with a rolling wall, would be very helpful to know which one is the one with the least creep when you’re at the wall, thank you.

    • @NightwoodGuns
      @NightwoodGuns  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, there is confusion because it's hard to articulate the small differences in trigger pull. He talks about the rolling wall, whereas I talk about the rolling break. The 4311 does have a "rolling wall." So you take up the significant slack, you hit the wall, you roll through a very short wall, and then you get the instant, crisp break like a 1911. Versus the Evo that has less take-up, you hit the defined wall, then it rolls through the actual break giving it more of the classic "mush" feel of a Glock (but very clean) That's why I say, if you are used to a Glock trigger, get the Evo. If you are used to hammer-fired guns, check out the 4311. Hopefully that helps, it's just challenging to communicate the intricacies of these triggers.

    Perhaps you could review the *GLOCK Performance Trigger.*
    Preferably in a Gen 5 Glock. Please and thank you.
    I like to avoid the myriad of variants that have arisen since the Gen 3 patent expired. Factory replacement, in an otherwise stock [internals] pistol, is the only viable option according to my attorney. Even then, it _still_ makes his job exponentially more difficult in certain situations.
    Nevertheless, this was another excellent review. People always seem to enjoy trigger videos. Might as well add another option to the mix.
    Stay classy my friend.

    Just had my 4311 delivered Monday. Any install video for the Micro Dagger since you ran into the tolerance issue? I have a stock Micro Dagger, would you recommend the Glock Tungsten RSA to reduce recoil? This will be my EDC so I don’t want to change too much.
    As for the price, micro dagger for $350 and this for $280 makes $630. Glock 43x is about $500, for the $130 extra you have an amazing trigger assembly, 15 rounds, and a built in comp. Worth it! I’ll upgrade the barrel for $80 if I see accuracy issues.

    Hey, Brett! I'd previously commented on this video and asked you about another aftermarket trigger, but after watching the video again, I had a gun suggestion I wanted to pass along to you if you're looking for another platform to review. Truth in advertising (so to speak), I have never shot with the 4311 trigger, but your description of it sounds so much like the trigger on the IWI Masada Slim I had to say something. On the IWI, there's a good amount of that "safety take up" akin to you showed on 4311, and then you hit a wall where there is just a tiny bit a creep, and then you're through. This is going to sound crazy to some, but for striker fired guns (big or small), there are less than a handful of stock triggers I think are better than this gun. On top of that, it handles recoil incredibly well (probably even better if you put in a DPM 😂). Anyway, might be worth checking out. Keep up the great content and honest reviews!

    When holding the gun vertical with the 4311 trigger fully depressed, my 43X will not return to full battery unless I release the trigger. Also I have a JG vex in one of my other Glocks with no problem but on the 4311, if I don’t pull the trigger just right, the trigger safety bumps the frame slightly at the start. I’m not sure if these are tolerance issues or common.

    ive heard that the combat trigger is the crisper feel and that the 4311 has the rolling break from other reviewers before this video. Also, in your other combat trigger review you described the combat with glass rod break, does the 4311 feel more like a glass rod break now than the combat?

    • @NightwoodGuns
      @NightwoodGuns  2 месяца назад

      Well, that’s a wildly opposite experience to have 😅 To answer your question: both have glass rod breaks. The combat breaks at the end of rolling pressure vs the 4311 breaks immediately after the wall. Considering Johnny saw the video and commented that he couldn’t have done it better himself, I’d say my observations are likely accurate.
