I did the same thing, placed the slide of the CR920P on the CR920X frame, and i love it. I also added the plus 3 base plate from the CR920P magazine to the second 15rd magazine of the CR920X, making it an 18rd mag that i carry as my spare mag. I ran 500 rounds of 124gr ammunition through it in this configuration using both mags without a single malfunction. I now run it as my EDC in a Glock 48 holster.
If you can find a frame. Shadow doesn’t sell the frame by itself. And I’m not sure about the 43x frame with the cr920 slide. You can try it. But I have no experience with that 👍
Is there a difference between shooting the CR920P vs the CR920XP? I have the CR920P and Im happy/comfortable with the 13 round mags, they still give me a full grip so Im just debating on making the jump on buying the CR920XP, I dont really care for the flush comp but the 15 round mags are nice
I wouldn’t buy the XP it’s not worth the upgrade if you already have the P (in my opinion). There is not much of a difference. Having a full size grip is nice 👍 but not for $700-$800. I just wish they sold the frame separate so we can just buy the frame and switch back and forth but they don’t

That is actually one of my next videos. For me the deciding factor was grip angle. I’m a Glock guy so the shadow is more natural pointing than the macro is. They both shoot great 👍. I will take them both to the range and do a head to head here soon
@@MichaelArmenta-ne3pu the Shadow Systems are far better. Especially when looking at the G43x and the SS CR920x. SS is FACTORY 15 rd capacity, textured/stippled frame, serrated slide, comparable triggers, better barrel (especially in elite models of SS). G43x needs shield arms mags for 15 rd and upgraded mag release. I, personally; Have not had good luck with SA mags, and youre just spending more money to upgrade. SS has better irons (again even better in elite models) and you get a good chunk of things you would like to do with a glock, and spend the time doing, already in a factory gun with SS. Just my opinion. I own both, still love both, but SS takes the cake all day
Hey Man, really good video! I heard the CR920-XP is going to come with a full-length dust cover so the comp sits flush. Have you heard this? 2 questions..... 1. Do you think the CR920XP will come with a mag well? 2. Will the CR920-XP come with removeable backstraps? Thank you!
I am unsure of that. I would contact them and ask. I’m not big enough of a channel to have any kind of relationship with them lol this one does have a flared magwell which helps with reloads over an external magwell. I hope it comes with back straps bc I’ve been waiting for any company to do that outside of sig and the macro
I did it as soon as they dropped the CR90X. BUT... I had already bought the CR920P Warrior Poet. So I contacted SS & I asked them if I could buy the lower only instead of buying the whole gun. They informed that I wasn't able to do so. So, I did the next best thing & purchased the Micro Dagger lower from PSA. Runs like a champ🔫
It’s actually the perfect size they just need to put two ports it in. But I would agree for a single port comp it is very long. I want to say the XR920P comp is shorter so maybe they have made it shorter for the CR920XP
Yea there is only a small selection that I have been able to carry. My goal has been to reduce the weight of my concealed carry so when there bigger grip micro/hybrid guns come out I have to try them just to see if they work

I swapped the slides on my CR920P and CR920X also. Upgraded to a Johnny Glock trigger. Makes a great carry gun in hot Texas summers.😊

Yes there is. I want to think they dropped or are dropping soon for purchase. I will probably be throwing that on the backup mag

Hiw long is the comp? Or the overall slide and comp length?
What are your thoughts between this and the Xmacro? Especially the axg legion that has the metal module? That’s supposed to shoot really well

The cr920p also comes with steel mags ..both my cr920 war poet and cr920p came with steel mags.

I would still say the X frame. The p frame will only fit two of your fingers unless you go with the extended mag.
