If any aviation buffs would like to read a autobiographical book in which is so well written, you can count the stitches in the head liner, see the well worn controls and smell the cockpit then Earnest Gann's Fate is the Hunter is for you. The book chronicles the very beginnings of America's entry into the airline business. Gann wrote of the C-46. He said it was a stiff legged brute but could carry more ice than the DC-3. The ICE FLYERS series comes very close to this feel. Treat yourself to a hard copy. This book deserves a place of honor in your aviation library.
The Rampie guys have signed up based on the understanding of putting in time so they can move up to fly. Letting a girl giggle her way in front of them is more than unfair, it is a breaking of an understood contract. If Buffalo was government run that nonsense would not be allowed.

Early on the localizer catches the worm in IFR. VFR on the localizer you can leave it very late, this show the differences between instruments and seeing the horizon.
Looks like blowing the owner is working for her.

Yeah, but if Buffalo doesn't service them who will? The only way to really service people.living in such a bitter cold, rugged, and isolated area is via airplane. This was true since the very beginning of the DEW line.

In other words "fairness" to her means being given an unfair advantage over others who do the same work. She is away for 3 months and she comes back and is immediately pushed way ahead of.guys who worked their asses off on the ramps the whole time.she was away. I would say that is quite unfair.
