My favorite type of beat to rap on is some good boom bap, but I can't stop repeating myself when I freestyle or say "I don't know" a bunch of times, that's where I get caught up

I'm a kid still in high school learn howto some freestyle. I have a usually pattern where everyday from school/work I hop on any beat in my room and start rapping. When I'm alone, BARS literally FIRE but the few times a rap in front of a friend or do it all turns to wack and I'm tryna figure out how to get better at freestyling in front of other people and I'm using your videos to help me with some good tips to improve my flow and everything. It rhymes. Difficult thing about analyzing lyrics when they are just written down and not recorded is that we can’t hear your flow. Your flow can make or break your lyrics.
But it does rhyme, so assuming it flows well, ur chillin.
Some of the lyrics don’t make sense. Like “pitch to my tent”
I assume you’re talking about the common idiom “pitch a tent”. Like getting a boner. If so, that would mean you want her to BE your dick.
If you meant that you want her to be the thing that /supports/ your tent, your tent being your life/mental health/happiness/etc, then I think you could come up with a more clever way of saying that.

Once you’re out of high school, no one gives a fuck if you rap. High school is a weird time in life where all that really matters is perceived social status.
Once you get out in the real world, no one cares about you, for better or worse. 😊

Is it possible to learn freestyling in english when it's not your native language? I mean I can write in english in fact almost everything I created so far is written in english, but I still don't naturally think like this it's more like forcing the words out of my brain.
So does anybody have some suggestions on how to fix that problem?

I have always been working on writing new music all the time since 2020 and I have a problem now, all of a sudden I have lost my confidence in rapping out loud from my heart like I used to before and I am really scared. Can you please help or advice me on what to do because everytime I start recording vocals I start whispering. Please help me.

This sounds counterintuitive, but work on just making stuff that's full of mistakes! Don't release it, just listen to it. Listen back on it. Pay attention to what sounds better and where mistakes were heavy. A lot of think we gotta be perfect, but even the greats mess up, they just got really good at playing it off and running with it. Write down some of the better parts you listen back on and are impressed by. You'll climb that mountain

@@7sneves glad to hear ✊ I share advice when I can, can't take it with me when I'm gone 🕊️
I wasted too much of my life, took so many Ls, but I grind every day now cause I realized we all just on a long trip to the same end. I got so many dusty notebooks and scorched pens from the flames of the furious scribblin, I gotta condense it all better, break it up, rearrange the pieces so it makes sense again. I've been diving into the freestyling side of rapping cause even when I write the song down perfectly, every word in order, I go and do it again and it's never the same. I have trouble doing the same thing twice, my brain has some aversion to consciously practicing repetition. I stumbled a lot, and I get upset cause I be saying "I'm going all in", or "goin all in" like a broken record sometimes lol
I'm workin on building more fallback things that rhyme, like "Rollin up again" "smokin with my friends" "pullin vinyl in da bin" etc.
Working on a solid roll after a trip up can be played off as part of the performance, lean into them mistakes sometimes on purpose 🪇

Mastering rapping requires a combination of skills, practice, and creativity. Here are some tips to help you improve your rapping skills:
Listen to rap music: Start by listening to different types of rap music to understand the different styles, rhythms, and flows. This will help you develop your own style and techniques.
Practice regularly: Dedicate time each day to practice rapping, whether it's freestyling or writing your own lyrics. Consistent practice will help you improve your delivery, flow, and overall performance.
Study the greats: Study the lyrics, delivery, and style of successful rappers to understand what makes them great. This will help you identify techniques that you can incorporate into your own style.
Collaborate with others: Collaborating with other rappers or producers can help you improve your skills, gain new perspectives, and develop your own style.
Perform live: Performing live can help you improve your stage presence, gain confidence, and connect with your audience. Look for opportunities to perform at open mics, showcases, or other events.
Record and analyze your performances: Record your raps and listen back to them to identify areas for improvement. This will help you refine your skills and enhance your performances.
Remember, mastering rapping takes time, effort, and dedication. Keep practicing, studying, and collaborating, and you will improve your skills and become a better rapper over time.
