as an almost 40 year old disabled combat veteran ill just say this much...none of this matters...AND since none of this matters do what ever YOU like. Often real life hits and we look around at our collections and think of all the money and time weve spent and maybe few snide comments from loved ones and we sorta attack our collections; but really these things make us happy. For alotta us we can finally own the item weve always wanted as kids the way we remember them. Ill leave with something I once heard that stuck with me. In the anime samurai x aka rouroni kenshin a samurai who's about to get married the nxt day (cept he dies) says to his lord he feels guilty for getting married during a time of war and strife and his lord responds 'You have to seek out your own happiness regardless of the sorry state and eben flow of the world." That actually helped me out alot.
It isn’t fun anymore and instead of being an affordable hobby it’s another huge bill I can’t justify anymore and the newbies have ruined it forever im done this year
This is true, but unfortunately all communities have a certain degree of disfunction. That's life. We are but to handle these bumps in the road to the best of our ability and not let them wreck us.
When I read the title of this video, I already knew exactly what your answer was going to be to that question. It's the same answer I would say, it's nice to have our little bits of happiness every now and again, even if it's from colorful pieces of plastic
I’ve never heard people ask if sports matter? Or if music matters? Or if movies matter? I think if something gives you fulfillment then it matters to you and I think most people have something like that and honestly I feel sorry for the people that don’t.
TV, movies, video games; none of these feed my imagination the way action figures do. I’ve been through some rough patches in life. Those were times before I had really reconnected with this hobby. Since getting back into it in my late 30s and now approaching 50, I have bad days far less often. When I walk into my room and see my collection there is a dose of peace that hits me knowing all that I have been through is behind me. Being able to collect and enjoy these figures tells me my life is stable. The only thing I want right now is more display space! If that is my only gripe in life then life is good.
The world can be a crazy place at times. Collecting is personal for a lot of people. For me, it's an escape from it all. It slows me down and reminds me of simpler times and it's also a great way to create new memories with my kids. Actually enjoying toys, rather than screens. I always enjoy your videos Hatter, keep it rollin! Never let anyone steal your joy.
This is a wonderful video. I'm 42 and never got a degree because I saw many friends get those degrees and end up working in the same places I did without one. I learned fairly early that the opportunities that people once had to prosper in the US were eroding quickly. I've made peace that I will never own a house or have the money to start a family. Some of the few things that bring me a little peace of mind are anything that reminds me of my fantastic childhood so toys fall into that category. I wish we all lived in a world where people cared more about others and less about their own greed to have more and more but that will never happen. Since that is the case, I plan on doing what I can to better people's lives, work to pay the bills, and try to enjoy the time I have on this utter failure of a world we've created.
I feel ya brutha, same here with the resistance to the model career. I feel like the most important thing two people need to start a family is not money... but love. Love&Peace to ya! ♥️✌️
I started collecting like 3 years ago, and after 8 months I realize that I started collecting because I was depressed, and like you said I was filling that void with these toys, once I realize that I started to work on what I really want it to do, and then life happens some family members passed and I developed a pain in the chest kind of like Neuralgia, and I realize that none of this really matters, but like you say it does makes me happy, it brings back memories and it connects me with my inner child so I decided for this (even tho it takes a hit in my wallet) to be a part of my life and I don't regret it because it has bring me a lot of joy and the community around it is awesome, thanks for doing this video!
I got into collecting to help keep my mind off things & feel better. I’m a disabled veteran battling stage 4 cancer. I even started taking photos & plan on doing more! Found your channel thru the Party Wagon. Keep up the good work & the content 🤙🐢
As a stopmotion animator and Figure collector the answer is very simple and short it matters to everyone individually because it brings us happiness and a sense of accomplishment it brings out the inner childhood in us most of us collect things we were never able to have as a kid or vice versa 💯🔥🔥 but great video man
Thank you Hatter! Love and respect you sir. I’ve been in the military for over 15 years, and served in war/combat zones all over the world. I’ve done and am doing the “big”things that society says matters. But I’ve found if I didn’t have my toys and comics, and the communities that go along with them to belong to and bring me joy, those “big” things would be burned me up inside. Love what brings you joy, and never be ashamed of it. Ever.
Your channel is something look forward daily. I’m a combat veteran and at one point in my life nothing mattered it was all material and didn’t mean $hit. I have a lot of friends that expect me to have a gun collection and instead I have model kits and toys. I put down the guns and collect things that make me happy. My collection keeps me going. Thank you for the Video Sir. Guys like you make it ok for me to collect because I’m not the only one who is in this game. ❤
I think i know exactly how you feel, my friend. I'm from Texas, yall. 🤣 I've always been a black sheep among most of my peers but have found a few kindred spirits with which to covort with. Then of course, there's this long-distance association that we all share with Toy Tubers and each other. I consider myself fortunate to call all of yall my friends.
@@leodenverrex3819 there’s nothing wrong with us. We are just a few special kind of guys. We’ll keep this train rolling as we support our friends like Mr. MadHatter. Cheers to you gentlemen and friends.
Hey Hatter, Marine Vet here (funny how many of us are toy collectors), Preciate the share, don’t you fucking give in to the darkness. It matters, of course it matters, it’s love brother. Even when it’s just a lil bit love always makes this shit better. Keep the toy/community love going ✊🏾
No, no Chance of me giving into the darkness my friend but thank you. More upset for other ppl close to me having a brutal time on the other side of the world. I appreciate the support and thank you for your service my friend ❤️🙏
My pleasure, when we’re truly being our authentic selves we all provide a service to each other, which frees me up to say thank you for your service. By the looks of the comments I’m not the only one that feels that way. I wish those you care for the best, stay up ✊🏾
300th comment here! Hatter🎩 unmasked🎭 you can't win them all! I'm sure you've heard that expression which rings true for all of us toy collector's! When we die we can't take our toys with us can we?! God bless.🤔👼♥🙏
I'm glad one of us in the community said what you did in this video. Totally agree we fill the emotional gaps in life with toys and collectibles. Thank you Hatter!
as another almost 40 yo, 100% disabled combat veteran, let me just say... I have gone back and forth on how much I outwardly show how much I love the Turtles, and balancing that with how I'm perceived as an adult. My wife always rolls her eyes when I'm walking around the house in my Ninja Turtles T-shirts and my teenage kids are always clowning on me w their friends. AND I am just to the point where I don't give a shit. I love collecting figures and wearing my Turtle shirts. I've worked my ass off since I was 14 years old, I've raised three kids, I served my country. I've bought 10 thousand dollar watches before, gone on trips all over the world, and it doesn't make me as happy as having my figures and just being a kid again.
Fuck what others think even if its family. If I cared what others thought I would have cut my hair and beard over 25 years ago instead of 3 when the Chemo took it. You are into what you are into and if others don't like it, fuck um.
The only things that matter are the things to which we ascribe importance. Collecting turtles reminds me of really fantastic times in my life and allows me to have something to focus on when other things aren't great. You are an awesome dude Nir, I really enjoy your sense of humor and learning about you as a person. Keep doing what is important to you, whether that is this channel or not, I support you doing whatever makes you find value and happiness with your life.
I fully agree 💯 whatever makes you happy Hatter. I would hate to see you leave the channel (I don't think it'll come to that) but if that's what's needed so be it. I would try making more of those funny old cartoon style videos. The Bane series was great. Hatter has a ton of imagination and I would love to see more creative episodes with his collection then more reviews personally.
Hobbies are just a distraction. But the larger question you seem to be asking is how do we make the world a better place? I think each of us has the power to do that and some of us even have the power to do that within our hobby. I've seen some people in this hobby do amazing things with their passion for what they love. If you have others in mind first and foremost and seek to leave the world a better place than you found it, you're doing okay. And for the record... it's Hatterites. 😁
I sort of have this same conversation with myself every time that barcode crosses the scanner, then again when I get home and I'm cutting open more plastic to get this plastic figure in my hands. What I find is more difficult is enjoying it at all with everything we are watching happen all over the world right now. I have found a small remedy, gifting my 11 yr old nephew my collection. makes me almost as joyful as getting myself.
I felt the same way recently. Staying close to those you love and trying to find moments that bring you joy is what matters. Even if that is toy collecting. Thanks for the moments of joy every now and again Hatter.
Draw your attention ladies and gentlemen witness a man in the throes of an existential breakdown. Yes, there are lots of more important things in the world but if you’re going to toy collector streams you’re likely looking to escape reality. Funny enough I found the BTAS figures and bought them for reasons they aren’t entirely clear. We love you Hatter. Find your smile!
Of course it matters! Lol its a escape! This hobby has so many aspects to it as well.. customizing etc... theres always bigger and more important things. This is a luxury..its gotten me away from a lot of negative things in life. It keeps me entertained throughout my work weeks with toy news etc
Much love and respect to you Mad Hatter . I love my collection , as it takes away a lot of depression and anxiety! I think i change around my collection display almost every month lol , but i love it and it makes me happy .
it matters if it makes you happy, if it provides a bit of an escape. This channel does both and i appreciate it. The world can be an ugly place but your home is your world and you can create it how you want it. Your home seems like a happy place whit fun and toys and cartoons where you can escape and goof around and make videos. Not to mention your daughter gets to grow up in a house with no shortage of toys and that is just super rad.
I’ve had many of these same thoughts and feelings. My collecting began when my mom hid all the turtles she could find around her house and put rolled up dollar bills in their hands like weapons for my 35th birthday. I searched for them like an Easter egg hunt and when I had finally found them all, I became enthralled more wih the old turtles than with the cash. I had never felt that feeling of nostalgia before and my wife and I decided we were going to hit the vintage toy store shops and rebuild my old collection. That was almost 3 years ago and I now have 3 detolfs full of playmates, NECA, super7, etc. I have taken a stand back at times and thought, WTF am I doing? 😅 however, I really enjoy the hobby and like others have shared, it truly brings me back to very happy times as a kid and memories and my mom and I turtle hunting at KAYBEE toys and target. The christmas when I receive the sports turtles and when I used see the turtle Blimp at friends houses and never had one but now I do!! Thanks for all your vids, definitely a huge fan and favorite channel.
Sometimes I look at my collection and I wanna throw them all in totes and never look at it again. Most of the times I wanna grab two figures and pretend their flying and fighting and make a variety of sound effects. I have good and bad days
I’m a 38 year old who struggles to stay positive and at times, the toy hobby suffers as I end up purging and letting go of everything…only to try and get it all back. Endless cycle but being part of a community that I know has a passion for all things toy related and share common interests really helps. Take care hatter…your content helps more than you think ;-)
What a really deep and profound video Hatter I appreciate you being so honest I agree, toy collecting fills a void for many myself included. Life is short and can be unfair and people do some unspeakable things to eachother. I encourage everyone to be good to eachother and appreciate the small things in life that make you happy.
Nir! Thank you for the rare peek at the man behind the curtain! So shines a good deed in a weary world and your toy videos are a beacon of light in an inhospitable landscape! Toys may be the little things, but the little things in life matter. Thanks for all you do, and blessings to you and all your family, man!
Dude, you’ve brought us all together! That alone matters! And if it’s only one person out there who you’ve managed to convince to listen and make the world a better place through the magic of toys then you’ve done a great thing and it matters a lot. Remember - From little things big things grow 🌳 ✌️ ❤❤❤❤ 🐢 🐢 🐢 🐢 May we all look past our differences and learn to all love each other in spite of those differences. ☮️
Life doesn't always throw you little moments of happiness as an adult. I think if I never collected I'd be a less happy personal overall. The toy collecting community has helped my threw some hard times.
Succinctly said ....lifes tough find the joy in it whichever way you can that doesnt hurt you. It says something that the cultural norm of collecting figures/toys when not a kid is considered a category now.... ....instead of 15-20 years ago when it was unheard of and people considered weird. These days a lot of weird or weirder stuff is accepted. So you do you and I'll do me. Just be happy.
You’re a good dude man. Watching people like you who make fun videos also helps spread the joy in this community. I’m sorry all this stuff is happening. Hopefully you and your family and relatives are all good.
With work and the madness of the world today I try to find a little joy in the small things whether it putting together a new Lego set, finding a figure on the shelf that I have been looking for or getting a new monster truck for my nephew. I’m not miserable but these toys bring me back to days where I was younger and was a little more clueless to what was going on around me. Much love Hatter and all my fellow collectors.
Keep your head up Hatter, these times are tough and if this hobby of ours can bring us some joy then why not. Take solace in what you do as you bring joy & entertainment to many of your fans who watch your videos.
It’s true about the brutal life and these are the only things that make sense most times. Collecting gives a reason to keep going, getting up early just to see a fresh stock of hotwheels is just as good as finding a great neca haul sometimes. Keep your head up bud. We’re here with you. 🤘🏻
Collecting is just a harmless way to escape and capture the feelings of a simpler time. Occasionally I feel carried away a little and I pull back but overall it’s about balance like anything in life. Love the channel Hat thanks for always providing genuine and entertaining content!
In the grand scheme …maybe not but it’s the one constant, other than my family, that has consistently brought a smile to my face. It’s a small thing that can bring joy to me and others .. so yeah on a world stage .. perhaps not, but in my small circle lol it is MEGA important! Also some people just gonna hate man .. as long as their OPINIONS aren’t filled with curses and pejoratives they can say what they want … opinions are like BLANK .. everyone has’em …. Keep on doing what you do hatter don’t let’em get you down man.
Life is not easy most of the time. It's important that we find comfort and solace in the things that make us happy. It's hard to find those places through life's trials.
Hatter, all i can say is that it does matter! it brings us joy and it brings us a very great community! life can be rough, life can be utter crap... but thats why you have to enjoy the little things! growing up my life was never good, my father drank way to much and became agressive, my mom wanted to divorce but she could not due to debt, she started working her behind off to pay off the debt to eventually divorce from that lunatic of a man. years later it became clear both of my brothers and me all had a severe trauma that would follow us in life. now that i am a grown man, having a beautifull daughter and a ace of a wife i made some amazing memories, and those memories includes my collection. my collection got me trough a horrible time so it is save to say... it does matter brother, keep it up! much love from the Netherlands.
I sincerely appreciate that man. It sounds like you had a rough start in life ( I did too) but are steering your own ship and making the best out of it l. Much love to your wonderful family and stay happy out there ❤❤❤
I don't usually comment, just watch your videos and click the like button. But, just wanted to drop and say hang in there and continue doing what makes you happy. It all matters.
Thanks for making this video. It’s messages like this that make you more than just your ordinary toy reviewer. Toy collecting at my age (late-30’s) with a wife, 2 kids & a house is a genuinely fulfilling hobby that comes with a mostly healthy community. There is a worthwhile purpose. It keeps me sane. Looking forward to more NECA TMNT reviews!
I work in entertainment (TV, movies, video games) while my wife works in medicine. So I often question "the point" of what I do compared to her. To which she always replies that if I wasn't helping to create "pointless" things that make people happy, then what is she helping to save their lives for?
Nothing really matters, until it matters 🤷♂️ if it's important to you then it matters, if not then it doesn't. Control what you can, focus on what you can change, and protect what you love. That's all there is in this life 🎉
The collection my husband and i have cultivated over the last few years makes us so happy. Love sitting in the toy room looking at everything and appreciating how important so many of these shows/movies/characters were (and still are) to our childhood. Theyre awesome physical reminders of better times. In the grand scheme of things, like a lot of other people said, nothing really matters. Sometimes things have value because we give them value. That doesnt make them insignificant. The worlds going to suck whether you take joy in collecting or give it up cause it "doesnt matter". I figure you might as well enjoy whetever you can while you can.
Madhatter in a sense the world always sucks(bad things are always happening) but it's just when it's brought to our attention that our focus shifts and we notice it. People are suffering all the time
I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t stock their fortress of solitude with toys and gadgets. Usually that means they are a serial killer or something along those lines 🤷♂️
I don't know you but i can tell you're a beautiful person... maybe collecting is not worth it, if you look what's going on aroud the world! But you make tons of people happy and that's what really matters. Im from Colombia (south America) and there are tons of things we don't have here as easily as in North America or Europe, and to have something imported here is a lot of money... so i have to make sure that a product is really good before getting it. You are giving me that knowledge and thats why I love your channel!! I have an amazing time watching your videos and i have never regretted following your advice on action figures! Thank you🙏
You are such a real and solid dude. And this is some next level stuff. I appreciate you so much, and I understand where this is coming from. Mad love Hatter!
Well said Hatter. Admit it or not, we all come to this hobby looking for something...usually a sense of security and control. When you realize that some people are happy just to survive through the day, this does seem like a petty and pointless hobby. But life can't just be about surviving, it must also be about growth, enrichment and joy. Just remember, when you die, most of this stuff will end up on a Goodwill shelf or trash can, so don't take any of it too seriously.
Love and peace to you and your loved ones. I was emotionally and psychologically abused by some people, so I got into toy collecting. I've been pushing like crazy for an investigation and the people covering up for him moved him to another job -- like the Catholic Church. So, I'm still collecting until I get justice.
This is a topic that everyone I know who works in the entertainment field, myself included, has to manage internally, especially during times of national or global strife. I always encourage people to not dismiss the value of art and entertainment. Being productive is great, but try living life for just one week without books, film, music, or anything that is not purely factual or technical. It is possible, but the quality of existence would plummet
"Hatter", you're literally the first youtube channel I've ever subscribed to and till this day, THE ONLY ONE! Dude, I love your videos. They're funny and they keep me informed. Loved ones bust my balls about collecting all the time lol, but I love it. It's literally the most innocent hobby you can have. Most importantly if you know how to collect the right stuff then you can always ebay it and make money. Literally, if I sold my collections, I'd make thousands! And it doesn't take long for the value of these items to double and triple in value!!!! They're like investments if you do it right. So fuck the haters, always do what you want and most importantly, "HATTER, YOU'RE THE FUCKIN' MAN! THANK YOU!
Thank you for this. Beautifully said. We all have our issues or stresses in our lives and this, for everyone who collects, is definitely a sense of comfort and happiness. This is a hobby that can definitely be detrimental to the wallet but not to your health or harmful to others. Do what makes you happy and try not to let what makes you happy add to the stress or unhappiness going on in your lives. Keep collecting 👍
Life is what you make it at the end of the day. If it makes you happy and you aren't hurting others any hobby is valid I feel. You are very talented and I feel anything you do will succeed in some way or the other. I don't even collect tmnt but I enjoy watching you because of your passion for the hobby. For the same reason I watch Robo or wade the passion you have for this is infectious.
We as collectors go through this in some point. Does it matter? And at the end of this question either you still collect or not and it’s fine . It’s what makes you happy is what matters!
I look at it very differently. I look at them as a form of art and I enjoy collecting and looking at them. I started collecting when I was very happy in life and don't think it fills any void. This stuff does matter because it makes lots of people happy. There are worse things we could be doing or spending our money on.
I'm 38 an growing up my family didn't really have the extra money for toys so now I'm an adult it's great to get the toys I didn't get when I was little
Check out a guy named A.C. Gilbert. (There’s a movie about him called “The Man Who Saved Christmas”) It shows the importance of toys even in the face of world war.
Thank you for this really thought-provoking video. I couldn’t agree more. Yes it doesn’t matter when compared to those going through really hard times, but collecting brings SO much joy, and you can’t put a price on that.
Sometimes I look at my collection and I think about how all this money could have been better spent but then I'll pick up one of them and just start messing around with it for a few minutes and realize how neat these guys are and how I like having little plastic representations of the various things I grew up with or missed out on. It's just fun.
It's very true, you can't take this figures with you. I also agree that if they make you happy the that's a good thing. I'm finding my happiness with collecting comes when I really pick and choose and wait for the perfect figure. Then I save up for it and when the time and price is right I buy it. This isn't anything new or secret but I find it works, rather then just constantly buying figures every week. I truly hope you and your family are well Hatter I appreciated this honest look on the hobby that no one else want a to talk about. Take care my friend 🙏
@@madhatterreviews6705 anytime Hatter I truly hope you are doing okay my friend. Life beats us done my brother but we have to keep on going. Much love and respect to you for this video
I know that they arent practical and i cant bring them with me when I die but whenever I pick up one of my figures I get this feeling of inner happy chemical juice surge through my body.
The majority of us toy collectors are in our 40s! There are bigger things to worry about like rent..insurance...kids...BUT at the end of the day they make us Happy after a long fkn day! In my experience its been that women come and go...but the toys are forever!
Thanks for the videos fam. They light up the world. Keep it lit. Keep the BLVD lit as the Potato beckons lol.:) Also as the M.U.S.K. street light embues. I'll stop I'm laughing. Y'all crack me up to no end. Take care and just know I really enjoy y'all. Peace and blessings!:) 🍻💯
As a 45yr old with Aspergers not a lot of stuff makes sense to me. But Toy collecting (since 13yrs old) it was a stable thing I had a bit of control over. I have great friends so I'm genuinely happy . But there's also a lot of negativity in my life, from where I live to my job. Not the worst of lives by far and I try to live each day to the max. Its all we can do.
5:06 Nah, not having standards and being a consooner isn't being an "emotionally healthy adult who doesn't participate in all or nothing thinking", lmao. And Hatter, you're a cool dude.
Different people use different things for an outlet, or escape from whatever troubles them from the world. Do what brings you happiness, and let others enjoy their things. Whether it be collecting figures, lego, or getting tattoos, etc... make use of whatever healthy escapes you have. Great video.
I just turned 22 I’ve been collecting about 3 years now I’ve had problems with drugs but I got sober a lil before I started collecting and it really has helped me a lot the joy I get from opening up a new neca or mezco figure just lights me up I just love looking at my collection taking them down every now and again just gives me more joy then what I thought I was getting from what I use to do much love for you hatter I love your vids I hope everything is alright with you man !
I agree, it doesn’t matter and it does. I lost my father early this year after some fun but ultimately heartbreaking weeks in hospice. Thankful I got that time honestly but haunted by the last few days. My collecting kind of skyrocketed during that whole time and is just now slowing some. It reminded me of simpler times, times spent with my dad with toys he may have given me growing up or a show or movie we watched. Is it the healthiest way of dealing with something stressful and life changing, maybe not. But I’m happy I’m not boozing or turning to something more damaging. At the end of the day none of the actual figures or toys are what matter but the memories and connection to the characters they represent and a time in our lives that were likely much easier and maybe a bit more fun. So if anyone can get a little shot of happiness from that in this crazy world I’m all for it. Also you, Mega Jay, Toy Anxiety, GDL and some others helped with that feeling also. Knowing that I’m not the only one sick in the head buying a ton of plastic. And most of you are just so damn creative and fun. ❤
You’re a good man. Thanks for this video. Just asking these questions are meaningful. Your videos make many of us happy. As silly as it might sound, maybe you’re doing “the Lords work” more than you think through your humor
You know man? You collect and enjoy life the way you want it. We decided to enjoy this hobby of collecting figures and playsets from our childhood or from this new era... You like ThunderCats lair and I like the Cobra Mother Ship... The common denominator is that we both collecting... Don't get into the nonsense of other people and just continue enjoying your life man... You also have a wife and a kid the same as me so we should be great full for that.💡😎👌👍
as an almost 40 year old disabled combat veteran ill just say this much...none of this matters...AND since none of this matters do what ever YOU like.

Right on! Toy collecting and other hobbies are both important and completely irrevelevant at the same time.

The insane prices & fake inflation cause depression.
I got into collecting to help keep my mind off things & feel better. I’m a disabled veteran battling stage 4 cancer. I even started taking photos & plan on doing more! Found your channel thru the Party Wagon. Keep up the good work & the content 🤙🐢
As a stopmotion animator and Figure collector the answer is very simple and short it matters to everyone individually because it brings us happiness and a sense of accomplishment it brings out the inner childhood in us most of us collect things we were never able to have as a kid or vice versa 💯🔥🔥 but great video man
Ty bud
Thank you Hatter!
Love and respect you sir. I’ve been in the military for over 15 years, and served in war/combat zones all over the world.
I’ve done and am doing the “big”things that society says matters. But I’ve found if I didn’t have my toys and comics, and the communities that go along with them to belong to and bring me joy, those “big” things would be burned me up inside.
Love what brings you joy, and never be ashamed of it. Ever.
What a great post. Thnx for your Story and your service my friend ❤
I've always been a black sheep among most of my peers but have found a few kindred spirits with which to covort with. Then of course, there's this long-distance association that we all share with Toy Tubers and each other. I consider myself fortunate to call all of yall my friends.
I appreciate you both being so open and keeping the faith alive. Thank you for your service
@@leodenverrex3819 there’s nothing wrong with us. We are just a few special kind of guys. We’ll keep this train rolling as we support our friends like Mr. MadHatter. Cheers to you gentlemen and friends.
Well said. Thanks for being vulnerable and making this video. We love you, man. Keep pushing forward!
Always. Thanks man
Hey Hatter, Marine Vet here (funny how many of us are toy collectors), Preciate the share, don’t you fucking give in to the darkness.
I wish those you care for the best, stay up ✊🏾
Toy collecting doesnt matter, in most ways, nothing we do matters. But its one thing that brings people joy. So thats enough
Personal happiness is what really matters.
300th comment here! Hatter🎩 unmasked🎭 you can't win them all! I'm sure you've heard that expression which rings true for all of us toy collector's! When we die we can't take our toys with us can we?! God bless.🤔👼♥🙏
Haha agreed
First ,thank you for your service , second loved everything you mentioned ✌️
Hahaha fucking love this post. You gotta be you unapologetically…and thank you for your service 🙏
Hua 🫡
I appreciate you guys more then you know. Much love
Matters to me. Helps immensely with depression. It's the little things that get you by in life.
💯
@@madhatterreviews6705 my man
Hobbies are just a distraction.
Love it man, Thats what it’s all about
it matters if it makes you happy, if it provides a bit of an escape.
100% agree with this
Great post bud
The christmas when I receive the sports turtles and when I used see the turtle
Blimp at friends houses and never had one but now I do!!
Well said! Sometimes I'm not even sure why I collect, but at least it's fun, lol.
Keep it fun baby
I’m a 38 year old who struggles to stay positive and at times, the toy hobby suffers as I end up purging and letting go of everything…only to try and get it all back. Endless cycle but being part of a community that I know has a passion for all things toy related and share common interests really helps. Take care hatter…your content helps more than you think ;-)
It’s getting expensive but I still love it . Collecting has made me happy I’m life
What a really deep and profound video Hatter I appreciate you being so honest
I agree, toy collecting fills a void for many myself included.
Life is short and can be unfair and people do some unspeakable things to eachother. I encourage everyone to be good to eachother and appreciate the small things in life that make you happy.
Just FYI, since you like correcting other people’s grammar on other posts, each other is two words not one.
Nir! Thank you for the rare peek at the man behind the curtain! So shines a good deed in a weary world and your toy videos are a beacon of light in an inhospitable landscape! Toys may be the little things, but the little things in life matter. Thanks for all you do, and blessings to you and all your family, man!
You’re too kind. Thanks so much for all the support 🙏❤️
Dude, you’ve brought us all together! That alone matters! And if it’s only one person out there who you’ve managed to convince to listen and make the world a better place through the magic of toys then you’ve done a great thing and it matters a lot.
Remember - From little things big things grow 🌳 ✌️
❤❤❤❤ 🐢 🐢 🐢 🐢
May we all look past our differences and learn to all love each other in spite of those differences. ☮️
Love that , agree! ❤🙏
Appreciate that man. Hoping for all the best
Thanks for the video Hatter…don’t let the Bastards get you down!! We love you brother!! Stay strong….
It matters if it makes you happy and if it's a bright spot in your day you look forward to.
I think there are people that have a very rich world that exists inside their mind, and collecting taps directly into that.
Appreciate that
Looking at all my Godzilla stuff always brings me a smile.
Collecting is just a harmless way to escape and capture the feelings of a simpler time. Occasionally I feel carried away a little and I pull back but overall it’s about balance like anything in life. Love the channel Hat thanks for always providing genuine and entertaining content!
🥂
Agree 100, and thanks for all the support
You're right, my collection never cheated on me so it makes me happy!
I was hooked from the first second man! Respect! I can relate!😊
If it makes you happy, it matters. If you're doing it for other reasons, or other people's opinions affect you, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it.
Thanks for speaking on this today. I connect with a lot of what you’re saying. Love ya Hatter.
You too bud
Appreciate ya man
Thanks for making this video.
What a great point❤❤
Wonderfully said!
Madhatter in a sense the world always sucks(bad things are always happening) but it's just when it's brought to our attention that our focus shifts and we notice it. People are suffering all the time
Things are maddening right now, but we find our small piece of joy in the world.
Take care my man
You too bud
Thank you🙏
Wow, I appreciate all that man. And that I can help in your enjoyment. Keep on staying positive and doing the things that make you happy. 🙏🙏
You're going to be a great dad. Seriously.
That means a lot seriously ❤
Toy collecting is one thing. Never underestimate the positive influence the collector videos, and yours in particular, have on the community.
Appreciate that bud
You are such a real and solid dude. And this is some next level stuff. I appreciate you so much, and I understand where this is coming from. Mad love Hatter!
Ty bud and back at ya ❤🙏
It’s funny they seem so frivolous to the outside but when you realize how they impact you on a personal level, they’re so important
Hey man watching your videos alone gets me to laugh and getyond off stressful things.......keep doing what you doing and be great
I appreciate that 🙏❤️
"Hatter", you're literally the first youtube channel I've ever subscribed to and till this day, THE ONLY ONE! THANK YOU!
Good talk Hatter. Thank you for all the time and energy you put into your content. I enjoy and appreciate every minute of it.
I appreciate that bud, much love
Thank you for this. Beautifully said. We all have our issues or stresses in our lives and this, for everyone who collects, is definitely a sense of comfort and happiness. This is a hobby that can definitely be detrimental to the wallet but not to your health or harmful to others. Do what makes you happy and try not to let what makes you happy add to the stress or unhappiness going on in your lives. Keep collecting 👍
Right back at ya bud
Great talk. Do what you can to be happy, and try to bring happiness to others.
Miss your channel keep doing the lords work best toy tuber, sending good vibes
Appreciate that man good vibes back at ya
I'm 38 an growing up my family didn't really have the extra money for toys so now I'm an adult it's great to get the toys I didn't get when I was little
Check out a guy named A.C. Gilbert. (There’s a movie about him called “The Man Who Saved Christmas”) It shows the importance of toys even in the face of world war.
I’ll have to check it out
when I hear about mental instability in the toy collecting world I remember that retroblasting dude every time.
You’re doing it right then bud. Thanks so much for your input ❤

Hahah thank you buddy I’ll keep lighting up the boulevard ❤❤
As a 45yr old with Aspergers not a lot of stuff makes sense to me. But Toy collecting (since 13yrs old) it was a stable thing I had a bit of control over.
I have great friends so I'm genuinely happy . But there's also a lot of negativity in my life, from where I live to my job.
Not the worst of lives by far and I try to live each day to the max. Its all we can do.
100 percent, only can control what you can control
Hang in there bro, haters and toxic trolls are attracted to those that are happy and successful. Keep doing you. Love you channel.
I like turtles
As do I my friend
Ty bud, you’re braver than most getting past your demons and finding something you love. Keep the faith and thanks for the kinds words ❤🙏
I sincerely appreciate that man ❤🙏
I hope everything is well with you. You are the shining light of the Toy Tube. Thanks for all the laughs.
I sincerely appreciate that bud ❤
You know man? You collect and enjoy life the way you want it. We decided to enjoy this hobby of collecting figures and playsets from our childhood or from this new era... You like ThunderCats lair and I like the Cobra Mother Ship... The common denominator is that we both collecting... Don't get into the nonsense of other people and just continue enjoying your life man... You also have a wife and a kid the same as me so we should be great full for that.💡😎👌👍
