Kyle Potter Depends on what you consider outshredding. Obviously they're better at their thing just like Evgeny is better at his thing. In my opinion it's much better to be in a metal band like StP because at least they don't spread evil religious thoughts like churches do. But that's a different topic which has nothing to do with drums.

Yeah sometimes it's tough to hear everything over the vocals. I think it's great you'll find videos of songs with just the drum tracks then you hear everything little thing.

I can't stop watching this. You are literally the most insane talented drummer I've ever seen! I could only hope to be as good as you some day! I've been playing about 13 years and I'm no where near that fast and my technique isn't nearly as good either.
This video without Alex's vocals really makes you appreciate how stellar of a drum piece this really is AND just how big of an impact Alex's instrument provides. I can't wait for some drum dissection videos on this track.

That snare hit at 3:08 was one of the angriest and sexiest things I’ve ever heard.
I think it’s an extra sample over the top of the original snare. You hear it used again 3:25. The snare for the rest of the track has quite a bit of dampening on it but it’s Needed really to get the blast beats to sound crisp.

@@DOOMlordevil I would say considering how hard he hits his cymbals and shit it probably helps prolong his sticks from breaking so often. I dont know that thats for sure why he plays with them like that but I know your sticks will last longer with them like that. I would play with my sticks backwards every now and then and didnt notice much of a difference. So I think it's just a personal preference thing
