- After 25 years of storage, the newly named 'Yoyo' surprised us all with slow and majestic flight ... what a comeback! The plans for all my Yoyo designs are in my Shopify store: cliffharveyrcp.... Give the video a thumbs up and leave a comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts, cheers.

The model turned some heads! If there's enough interest I may draw her up?, Cheers
I’d like to know how you draw her up. Send me some info my way when you can. Cheers 🍻
@@carlhanson7761Basically I'll take lots of measurements and transfer them into my cad software 🤔👍
Yes please! Looks like a great indoor flyer. Well done!
@@assiegordon I'll have to make some time Gordon 👍
Please draw her and post on outerzone
Excellent job!!
We Brazilians are very proud of the planes invented by Santos Dumont!
Congratulations!! True masterpiece!!
Santos makes a great pilot, cheers Claiton 🙂
It looks magnificent up in the air. Somehow the slow flyers have a special charm, you can actually admire them much more than the fast ones. And the fact that it is an own design is incredible. Clearly you are the master!
Hi Andrew, you're right about a special charm, what I liked about this model is it gives me time to admire it it flies so slowly, cheers
Excellent job, very well done and a very nice flyer. Congratulations on your craftsmanship.
Thanks, she's nice and slow ...time to watch and enjoy 🙂👍
That was a surprise Cliff! She just floats around. Laid back flyer that one. Taxiing is interesting...you have to fly it around on the ground. Lol.
Yes, very light wing loading and undercamber makes a slow flyer I guess, once on the ground I had to blip the throttle to get her to turn before hitting the post ... just made it, cheers Adam 😁👍
That is what you call a show stopper. Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch that model. Good one.
Hi Gudjon, it certainly has a presence in the air 🙂👍
Luuuvly. Really graceful slow flier Cliff. 👏You've really demonstrated, with this and your Hangar RAT, that introducing some more modern electronics to a good old model can give it a whole new lease of life. Worth linking back to your previous video on this to see how it started out. I mean, it was 'filfy'! Hope this encourages others with long discarded models in the loft/garage to give them a 2nd chance at life and let the rest of us appreciate them. Well done sir. 👍👍
Hi Andrew, thanks, there is a lot of interest actually in older designs with modern equipment, check out Mark Robinson and Mark Croucher YT channels. But bringing dusty old models back to life is just so satisfying, thanks for your comment. PS The link at the end is changed!, cheers.👍
You should be really tickled pink with that Cliff what a beautiful flyer, reminds me of the ikarus Bleriot from about 30 years ago
Hi Alexis, thank you, I remember building one of those back in the day lovely models 🙂👍
Wow, wow, wow! So beautiful! So slow, graceful! ❤👏👏👏
She sure was Mike, and I managed to miss the walls and ceiling, cheers 👍
Another perfect example of flight. Well done mate. Excellent work.
Thank you, I was chuffed 👍
Another amazing own design and flight Cliff, great to see.
Thanks Gary, I am rather pleased with her 🙂👍
Gorgeous, elegant, graceful!
Hi Brian, thanks, she's a real floater, ideal for big indoor venues 👍
Amazing flying plane which looks much better floating than being a home for dust and muck. Cliff well done Sir, Jeff in LA USA
Hi Jeff, certainly worth the small amount of effort, cheers 👍
You've got to be pleased with that Cliff, very graceful. Two thumbs up mate.
Hi Richard, thanks, passes the time while we wait for better weather, the Mantis is staring down at me!
Now, that's a stylish indoor flying site! Nice to look at a plane in that environment.
It's actually used to exercise birds of prey that may have been injured but it's also a fantastic venue for indoor flying KH, it's a bit of a drive for me but more than worth it, cheers
Alberto would be amazed 🙂
He sure would ... I think we all were actually 🙂, cheers
I want this! Saw the video header and clicked, hoping I'd see a kit or plans! The first pic looked like a hell of a flyer!
Hi AW, I'll probably get around to drawing up some plans, there seems to be some interest, I'll have to earmark a day in the diary, cheers
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes thanks! As we age, our reflexes and eyesight aren't what they were, and I don't want adrenaline rushes anymore. Puttering around trying to spot land, or slow speed limbos are still FUN. I'll leave the $5000 scale jobs to younger men and just go have fun.
Beautiful and graceful in the air!
It really is Guy, I can hardly believe it myself!
Brilliant flight, very calm and floaty, music matched as well Cliff, very chilling. 🫡
Hi Chris, not too chilling I hope, and I managed to miss the walls and ceiling beams ... result!
Nice and slow! And solid landings with that gear setup. Excellent, Cliff - you should be a proud "father" 😄👍
Hi Ray, yes, the gear is a bit 'solid' but functional, cheers 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Yes, solid and low center of gravity .. gives good landings .. is what I wanted to say. Planted on landings .. not balancing on thin wobbly piano wire.
Absolutely wonderful Cliff. Well done. Love it!
Many thanks Artesan 👍
Simply fantastic, Cliff! Such a fun flier!
Hi Gina, thanks, you could build a huge indoor hangar on your new flying field, never again cold fingers or flooded runway!
Very impressive! 👍🏻🙂
Thank you Randy! Cheers!
Really nice Slow flyer there !! .....The Fuselage is really Cool ! .....Maybe Widen the landing gear Wheelbase a few inches to stabilize Taxiing a bit ??
Cool idea Tom cheers 👍
That was really great to watch and the music complimented the flight too. 👍👍👍
Thanks Stephen, I had to slow the music slightly to match the speed of the model lol, cheers
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Well it worked well. 👍
I love when a plane will fly well and looks great. I am going to look for more of the story of this plane. I would love to have one.
Hi Jim, this model was a bit on the large side to transport easily so it's spawned a whole series of smaller Yoyos the largest of which is the 34in version, the plans for this one can be downloaded from my Shopify store here: cliffharveyrcplanes.myshopify.com/products/34in-span-yoyo-radio-control-slow-flyer-build-plans 👍
Very very nice slow flier Cliff, looked majestic 😀👍
Probably the most relaxing model I've ever flown Ian, I came away from this session so relaxed I could barely walk lol, cheers
Just saw your pinned comment - own design - definitely to be drawn up!!
Ok, cheers.
Nice looking craft Cliff. Cheers to you
Hi Carl, thanks, I'm glad I dusted her off, she was built long before RUclips was invented!
Very NIIIICE 👌
Hi EJ, yea, very pleased with her, a calm day out of doors and I'll try a loop or two, cheers
hello I just saw your indor model flying gracefully I enjoyed the flight
Hi Mauricio, thank you for commenting, cheers
Fantastic flyer, great video thanks.
Thanks for commenting, cheers
Great plane, well done!
Thanks Bob 🙂
That was the finest landing of an RC aircraft I have ever seen.
It did rather grease in didn't it, this one is a good'un as well ruclips.net/user/shortswF8chxgFXTs?feature=share
very nice👍
Thank you Lukas! Cheers!
That is SlowJo speed!!!!! ; )
It was Dutch, slooow! cheers
Brilliant well done Cliff 🚀🚀🚀
Hi Gary, thanks
Interest, interest, interest, interest.
Is that enough?
Interest. Interest.
I hear you Saskafrass, see the reply to 'AW', cheers
I'd be keen to buy that!
Hi Len, I've produced the plan for a 34in version and a slightly smaller Mini Yoyo, did you watch them in action in my latest indoor session from Winnard's Perch: ruclips.net/video/nziOQZD1PNs/видео.htmlsi=y8N_7UtLgc1WMltn, cheers 👍
That really was a joy to watch, well done
Thanks Stephen, you have my blessing to watch it again lol, cheers
I have watched it again a couple of times
Wow, I'd swear you were playing the video in slo-mo.. Thats amazing.. What a fun, relaxing plane.. Well done my friend... - Will
That's exactly what a flying buddy said to be today Will but no, it flew just as you see it, cheers
4:47 G’day from Australia Cliff! What an absolutely lovely plane, I would love to build one, plans pleeeease !! Richard.
@@richardharris7438 Hi Richard, the interest is growing, looks like it's going to happen 🤔
I would be real interested in purchasing the plans.
I'll see what I can do Greg 🙂👍
Amazing Cliff! Slower than the Rat!! Where did the plan come from?
Hi Bob, who'd have thought you could go slower lol, the plan was something I drew up many years ago, if it looked right it would hopefully fly right, cheers.
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Inspired by the Demoiselle I would imagine. Strangely enough I was thinking about building on yesterday!
@@bobi2582 Yes, the Demoiselle is a lovely looker, cheers
Nice slow flyer plane. Its 3 ch?
Yes, it is Alex, cheers 🙂👍
I'm Jealous of your Ware House for indoor flying.
Hi Don, I know, I only discovered it (and the club) two months ago, it's a bit of a hike but oh so worth it. It's actually owned and used by the Bird of Prey Sanctuary for exercising their birds!
