This is an awesome build. I still have 5 boxes of GWS slow sticks, 3 GWS P51 Mustangs, 4 GWS F4U Corsair, 2 GWS Islanders, and 2 GWS Formosa including the ones I already built.. I stocked up on them when a local Hobby shop called J&M Hobby House was closing down years ago. I got them for 19 dollars each. Gosh, I miss that hobby shop. It was in an old 1940s building and the family who owned it and ran it were incredible Hobbyists and friends.
Thank you David, very instructional. I've built 2 of these now and love them both, and now that I know how to build the wing, I see a 3rd in my near future. I've written a file for the landing gear, and you're welcome to it if you think it has any merit. I can send pictures if you like. Thanks again Don
@@Qromer Posted pictures to Printables and gave you 5 stars. Wouldn't let me post until I selected a printer, I got dazed and confused and just gave up, perhaps it wasn't meant to be. You still get 5 stars here, thanks for all your help. Don
Sir, I have a wing model NACA 4415, with a higher aspect ratio than yours. 5 degrees of dihedral on each side, WCL of 6. Do you think it would fly similarly to yours? Can I fly with ailerons? I have a motor with 1kg of thrust. Thanks for the video.
Certainly give it a try. Changing out wings on this thing is super easy. I have some with Balsa Wings as well and ailerons. They do just fine. I prefer the setup you see here though.
qromer what is the proper name of this tough black foam board??? I have one from dolar store and its very delicate... anyway what foamboard do you recomend for last longer ( maybe 5mm XPS floor isulation :P)
I actually like the flite test maker foam the best. Sorry I don't know the proper name of the black foam board that I have but it is thicker and a little heavier than the stuff from the Dollar tree. It actually has a black foam core.

Way to keep these classic designs alive David.
Thanks Jake!

Wow, what a great construction tutorial! Very in depth. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks chiparooo -- I hate watching it back as I feel like I am too long winded. Thanks for the feedback.
I got some useful tips for my next build! Also, I can’t wait to start flying the slow stick. Thanks David!
Glad to hear it! Thanks!
Really a huge master class, thanks for sharing 😃
My pleasure!
Very nice, thank you
Loved the build.
I’m going to try this!
What’s the background song?
Thanks Deafgreekboy, I hope you build one! As for the song, it is one of the FPV related AI songs I have been generating. Thanks for noticing. :)
Hello my friend from Greece wear find the PDF file 😊
It is on the same listing under the section "Other Files" just below the STL files.
