- Hidden in the depth of the Mother of Mothers is one of the strangest "blessings" of the Miracle: Socorro, the Lady of Perpetual Agony. The fate of the Lady, and her watchful guardian Cleofas, varies depending on the actions the Penitent One takes during their side quest. Let's recap the story of the duo in its entirety!

The Miracle is a bitersweet thing. It can bless those with empathy while punishing them at the same time. I believe it to be an agent of pure chaos. Acts to stir things up and watch it unfold over endless pain, suffering, redemption.
Anyhow. Cool side story, every little piece giving us more light onto what the miracle truly is. As always, Keep em up Squatch.
"That divine will, equally pious and cruel, which we could not and will never be able to unravel, was called The Miracle."
Seems like the DLC is going to expand a bit on the background of the Miracle. If what I've read is true, there's apparently some other being/force that the Miracle is opposed with and works to undermine. That should be interesting to explore!

It's like on one hand you got people like Socorro who suffered and eventually was rewarded and Cleofas who watched this suffering and in turn became a better person, then you got the other people who jus became crazy
I killed her out of pity almost instantly. I has no idea you could save her by giving those items.

Can't help thinking the Church probably manipulated this, using Socorro to bear wounds of Anointed Legion.
I love this side story. It was filled with pathos & character analyzation. By offering the marks to the woman u took away her very meaning & dedication of what she was trying to fight for while also taking away the priest's only meaning he had devoting his life to someone who was strong & daring enough to endure infinite pain of others less virtuous than herself.
I’m glad that there is a way to save Cleofas. Keep up the great work!
Not gonna lie, the tale of Socorro is actually pretty inspiring.
It seems all who pray to the Miracle crave punishment and martyrdom...
I don’t know if they are selfless,insane or masochistic.
@@Joawlisdoingfine i like to think it depends,like Socorro's makes sense because she kept hearing the cries of the prisoners, the others? Yeah i feel like they should have a sense of pride yknow or at leadt tried to reform themselves instead of destroying themselves as punishment

I played through the game (well, what's available) last year. It was cool, but I actually preferred Lisa the Hopeful more. Just my opinion though!

Socorro = help . She's begging for help. On my first run I ended hers suffering for good. Socorro is an common female name on latim rooted, languages such as portuguese and spanish.
In italian the verb "soccorrere" means helping someone in a very difficoult situation

Feels real bad that I can't watch these videos yet, as I haven't finished the game.
It is so goddam hard aswell, I keep ragequitting after 30mins
Man, I feel you there. The only advice I can give is to tough through it and try to learn the patterns.
Personally, I've noticed that taking time to heal in boss fights without knowing their patterns can come back to bite you. When you learn the patterns, you find those little windows of downtime (Esdras moving across the entire screen for the one attack or the Lady of the Charred Visage fading into the background to move) where you can get in a heal. And I personally wouldn't try to heal more than once as I've found that quite often you don't have the time to do that.
Other than that, look for the Mea Culpa statues to boost your damage, and the Lady of the Six Sorrows to boost your Health.

I killed her because i stumbled upon the room before exploring the rooftops, then got the talisman, found Cleofas in the prison cell and gave him the talisman, then found him on the rooftops regardless and he still killed himself

"Io soccorro" equals to "I help", knowing italian lenguage helps e lot to comprehend the lore of blasphemous and makes you enjoy the game even more.
In spanish socorro means help

All i can see is that if u choose save her u give her things.. then High peaks gift u mirrored Mask WHICH IS REALLY important! i missing that item annd no idea what now. i only saw videos about the "make on OFFER" missions... and they always have Mirrored mask with that
