- The Stir of Dawn DLC introduced a new side quest the Penitent One can undertake in his journey across Cvstodia, one concerning new characters introduced in the DLC. Let's go over the new information added into the game to remember the forgotten story of Laudes, Jibrael, the Amanecidas, and the Saeta.
Yeah, I know there's several other channels that have already compiled this (and probably have done better), but I still had fun making this and really hope you do too! :)

Brotherhood of Silent sorrow, which penitent one is member, is silent because they keep secret that the twisted one cried of pain
I would take it as them taking after the example of the Father who never complained during his penance with the the Eldest Brother being the one that hears his cries, but I think this is a good interpretation too!

Smoughtown did a video on this exact topic two weeks ago, but I personally think you presented the facts in a more coherent order :)
I saw! From what I saw of his though, he goes more into the real world events and tales that influenced the creation of the characters and stories to interpret them which is very commendable. I just keep things simple and tell the story that's told in the game.

I didn't bother to replay the whole game again just to unlock this DLC. I wish they'd allowed it the first play through. Going through Cvstodia again in such quick succession is tedious. Thats why I'm here for the lore. Thanks for it!
I would really, REALLY, love you see your take on ITTA. It's beautiful, but a bit deep, and definitely dark being as you play as a child.

Hey I love the video but when you said that the miracle was jealous that the father was being praised so much, I don’t think that’s fully true. I think the miracle was jealous specifically at the Amanecidas because they gave so much praise to the father, instead of the miracle itself, that made the father the way he is in the first place.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying there: he's jealous of the Father because of the praise the Amanecidas (among others) are giving him, so decided to get rid of the Amanecidas.

I didn't really understand what "the dawn" was supposed to represent. What did Laudes lust after? What was her crusade supposed to be about? Did the miracle only dig them up just so the penitent one could kill them?
Any answers will ease my curiosity

Amanecida means Dawn in Spanish. The Stir of Dawn was literally the coming of the Amanecidas.
You could say Laudes opposes the Penitent One since he was meant to become the “new Father” and thus replace the Twisted One (Deogracias’ dialogue in Ending A says he becomes the new Father - Laudes refers to his journey as “irreverent intent”), and that’s why she awoke: to stop him. But that doesn’t explain how/why the Penitent One was able to get the Petrified Bell release her; only the Miracle could have provided the key for that. That’s why, in my opinion, Laudes is meant to be an obstacle for the Penitent One to overcome on his journey to become the Last Son of the Miracle. A test from the Miracle to prove he’s worthy. Similar to Crisanta in that regard.
SmoughTown’s video may have more answers for you (he uses real world inspirations to understand what’s happening in game), but I like to keep it simple, and based on what I could find in-game, that’s pretty much it. That’s just my interpretation though!

@@SquatchGamingChannel now that you said that it does make sence- her awakening would interrupt all miracles plans. If she only worships the first father, that would mean that she would eliminate anyone else who would try to take his place, which would mean that she would kill anyone who would be even close to having the title of the father.
The Miracle wants her dead because she'd kill both Escribar AND the penitent one so the only one left to worship would be her and her idea of the father only.

Calling it now. The Great Miracle is in fact Clavicus Vile and Custodia is his realm in Oblivion. It matches up too. Neither good and evil, does deals with mortals and twists those deals around them.
Pretty sure it's been confirmed that the miracle is evil lol. The suffering it wrought should be evidence enough. Not to mention the source is petty and evil themselves.

It really is a great game, and the Stir of Dawn DLC was really awesome. Hope the developers have more plans for future content for the game (or are even planning a sequel) cause I would love that!

How was laudes buried at the top of the ferrous tree when that tree is Escrobar's sin manifest?
The Amanecitas had to have been locked away shortly after the first miracle.
So it would be impossible for Escrobar as leader of the churches to lose faith in it and be punished before the Amanecitas were locked away right?
I think they’re two different trees: the Ferrous tree seems to be a structure built into the Mother of Mothers, and was possibly meant as a nod to the Knot of the Three Words; the tree that Escribar became burned up and and became the pile of ash that the throne and the Cradle of Affliction sit upon.

An Anomaly well in the game, the miracle have been shown to give blessings and punishments,(mostly punishments) and if it ever did give blessings, it would heavily monkey paws them. Take Socorro for example: She begged the miracle for mercy on the people who were sent to torture and death. The miracle answered, but made HER now feel all the pain the tortured would have felt. This, to me, says that the miracle is and force that will let no punishment slide, and that all guilt will be ment with punishment.
I didnt read much of the lore... But... What was with the guy that needed the quicksilver? Is there a video on that?
There isn't a video on him because I don't really know wtf is going on with him. Lol. Best to leave it mysterious since I couldn't explain it. Haha.
