Thanks for sharing this with us. I once sat in my car and weeded some designs waiting on my takeout order to be ready. I’m sure if anyone saw me they wondered what u was doing 😂
A week ago I walked away from a simple project I was sure I had safely secured. When my son alerted me to my machine making 'funny noises' I was horrified to discover it had gotten into a wrestling match with a small zipper tab. I was out of commission for a whole week until a new bobbin case arrived. Imagine my sheer and utter relief when that fixed the unsightly tension problem that had resulted from my carelessness! Thanks so much for sharing this video. Since this was not my first stupid blunder (but certainly my worst) I was beginning to wonder if I should pursue another hobby!
Hi! I’m new to embroidery and wondering what to buy to remove stitches. Would you all mind telling me what to buy? I made this mistake and I only have this tiny little seam ripper that was worthless. I see cheap kits on Amazon but I don’t want to waste money on cheap crap. Is there a certain seam ripper I should buy? I’m going to look up the Peggy’s thingy and probably buy that or the one Erin recommended. Erin what brand do you have if you have the time to school me? Either one of you ladies, if you could please help I’d appreciate it so much. Thank you
It’s worth a try to correct mistakes. I corrected one letter in a person’s name on the side of a hat that I floated. Lining up the design takes the most time. It worked! Hope your shirt worked out.
I can’t wait to see the end--I really want to learn how to recover -since I make these type of mistakes 🥴. I have embroidered about 20+ stand-alone Christmas ornaments for gifts. I live then but wow are they time consuming.
I received the Peggy Easer yesterday and “Naturally” already had testing ready in my “fabric trash” bag worked BEAUTIFULLY!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Merry Christmas everyone!!
1922 project i go in stages - I’ll make a new mess up and then be super aware not to mess up again - then as time goes by I let my guard down and boom I’ve stitched my shirt together 🤪
Wow... I’m in NC, too. Central part. I love everything crafty and just fell in love with embroidery. I would love to start an embroidery business with hopes of preparing/supplementing my retirement ( which in due to begin in about 3 years).....but....I am sooo scared..
I have a Peggy eraser and I do not like it! I use cuticle scissors , I like to cut the front stitches then work on the back stitch many times I have been able to pull the back thread and it unravels.
Use a a really pointy scissors, I use a gingher curved and cut the back satin stitch in back. Keeps from pulling with seam ripper. Then you can just unravel from front. Ask me how I know! 😩
You need the Peggy eraser or the Peanut by Wahl. Unfortunately, I’ve become an expert in removing screw ups! It works best if you have used cutaway stabilizer.
I love the electric stitch removers. I have 2 of them
Thanks for this video nice to see that its ok to make mistakes. I have seen the Peggy Stitch Eraser works great

Oh no! That is my fear! It must have felt awful to be without your machine running thus time of year! Keep going, we all make mistakes!
Thanks fro sharing, i can totally feel your pain. You should look into an electric shaver, it makes stitch removal so mach faster!
I’ve heard that’s basically what the Peggy eraser is!

Good idea!!
So how did it turn out ? I just did this to a jacket because my bobbin was too tight now I know how to fix it but I’ve already screwed up stitches
never salvaged this one!!
I had a shirt then when clipping the stabilizer I cut through the shirt
Oh man I don’t do the take outs. I had the Peggy eraser and sent it back. Good luck
It definitely takes patience!
Lol this is so real

Ughh isn’t it rough!! But satisfying as well!

I happen to have the Peanut when I did hair! I will have to try that if I ever have that problem
I’ve never heard about the peanut - I’ll have to check that out!
I use electric trimmers. And shave those stitches off. Works great
Good idea!
Go pack!!
