I want to commend you on your style of teaching. I think that sometimes people forget that we newbies need to see each step of the process (instead of just speaking about - at least I do). I really appreciate you giving not only verbal instructions but a true step-by-step visual during each step of the process.
Every time I watch your videos you make it look so easy that I want to go out and do it and then I remember oh I’ve just bought my first embroidery machine and don’t know anything yet. You make it look so easy. Thanks
What a great machine, you know what they say, “ Behind every great machine “. Thanks for the video. I had a question but you answered it before I could finish typing. 🤗
Just found you tonight. Yes, I have been embroidering for a while but, have learned a lot from you. Always room to learn. Plus, I'm waiting on my Ricoma EM1010 to come. You are a GREAT teacher. Thanks for showing me how the machine works. I have 3 other Jamone also :)
Thank you for the information. I've been searching on how to set the control panel for mighty hoops. All I've been able to find is how to hoop. Nice towels!
I go through how I set the hoop in the video. I choose other but you can also choose a size that is similar if you have one. I have never created a custom sized hoop setting
Wonderful video, thank you! One question - what size did you use for your font? I found the Magnolia Sky, but it only goes up to 2.5". Your examples look bigger. Are you using the 2.5" size for your names?
I believe the magnetic hoops are available for most multi needle machines but not single needle. If using a single needle I would float it as shown in my other video linked in video
Love the video. A lot of good helpful tips. I’m new to embroidery with a machines and I have Janome 9900 and was wondering if the 500E is different and how can I get new designs to use and can the size of the project be changed? Sorry, lots of questions. Thank you.
Thank you so very much for your tutorials. I have 2 specific questions: For a single needle home embroidery machine 1) what needle size would you recommend for super plush towels. 2) do you recommend 2 layers of tearaway?
Hi Lorrie .. I’m wondering where you buy your gorgeous towels from? I’m struggling to find a good blank supplier that doesn’t cost the earth .. I’m a beginner and have absolutely loved watching your videos .. Thanks for great advice x
Great job what size font did you use. Love the font and will purchase. Do you have some other names of fonts I’m going to to purchase today using the sale code, thanks
Hi. I'm a newbie here. A friend gave me a Baby Lock Ellageo & I'm trying to learn personalize a baby blanket with script fonts. How can I make my fonts a little thicker?
I’m not aware of backstitching on an embroidery machine ? There is tie in and tie offs which knot the beginning and ending stitches but that is programmed into the design not the machine
I just used white but you definitely could use a color that matches your too thread. I usually stick to white or black bobbin. With the nap of the towel you barely notice it and this is such a light gray that it almost matches anyway
Hi I am trying to find a basic software just to get started just want step by step help on enlarging letter saving the file type to send to a semco ipink file the getting it ti embroidery
Hi, I'm really struggling to find your video of you embroidering kids names on striped beach towels. Have yo got the link please? It was a great video but I can't find it now!
@@LorrieNunemaker Thanks Lorrie, but this is the one for appliqué on beach towels. I'm sure you did another one where you embroidered the names on striped beach towels?
@@LorrieNunemaker Ok thanks Lorrie. It was actually the font you used on your beach towels I was after. I know you were creating the for your guest bathroom and I remember the font was great.
Tough to answer as it Depends on the name and the size and the machine. My machine can stitch up to 1000 stitches per minute. Some are even faster and some are slower. the font is also a factor in how long it takes to stitch.

Lorrie Nunemaker 😊 Thank you, I’m glad you got a Ricoma, I got mine in June and I’m not familiar with embroidery and I have not made one single thing. I watch all your videos, thank you for taking the time to show us how it’s done😊

@@robynhills3230. I agree 100%.
Very pretty! Love the font. The gray and blue towels look so luxurious.

Excellent explanation! Thank you! I have the same machine as you, now I am learning how to use it.
I wanted to embroider some towels, so really please you did this video 😁
I'm so glad!
Love the video. The font was a great choice.
Love the look of this machine
Wonderful video, thank you! One question - what size did you use for your font? I found the Magnolia Sky, but it only goes up to 2.5". Your examples look bigger. Are you using the 2.5" size for your names?
I love how dense your stitches are. I am not sure the make a magnet hoop for my machine. Beautiful job
I believe the magnetic hoops are available for most multi needle machines but not single needle. If using a single needle I would float it as shown in my other video linked in video
The Mighty Hoops work with all multi-needle machines as well as the single needle Brother Persona and Baby Lock Alliance.

Hello, which size for the Magnolia Sky did you use for these towels? Thanks so much.
Hi,
I have just bought an Elba air artist embroidery machine. I wish to learn as step by step from you please
Absolutely beautiful Lorrie! I love the way they turned out!! Is there anything you can’t do? LOL
Thank you so much ! It’s really super simple
I’d love to see you do appliqué on this machine. Great video!
Thank you so very much for your tutorials. I have 2 specific questions: For a single needle home embroidery machine 1) what needle size would you recommend for super plush towels. 2) do you recommend 2 layers of tearaway?
I use 75/11 needles. I use one layer
Do you wash the towels first, before embroidery? Do you wash them before you gift them?
Beautiful!
No, I don’t prewash towels
Lorrie Nunemaker Thanks so much for the quick reply! I just discovered you yesterday! New subscriber!
The font is gorgeous
Hi Lorrie .. I’m wondering where you buy your gorgeous towels from? I’m struggling to find a good blank supplier that doesn’t cost the earth .. I’m a beginner and have absolutely loved watching your videos .. Thanks for great advice x

Great job what size font did you use. Love the font and will purchase. Do you have some other names of fonts I’m going to to purchase today using the sale code, thanks
I didn’t use one specific size. I changed them based on the names but most are about 4”-5” tall
Thanks for sharing. Why can’t I see you links? I would like to buy the magnolia font
Can you please list the things that you used to put your embroidery on your towels with thank you
It’s all listed in video description
Which do you prefer to use for embroidery , the Ricoma or Brother?
I like both but the brother is quickly becoming my go to for quick and easy
Hi. I'm a newbie here. A friend gave me a Baby Lock Ellageo & I'm trying to learn personalize a baby blanket with script fonts. How can I make my fonts a little thicker?
You need software to make fonts thicker. Your best bet is to purchase thicker fonts
Could you do a tutorial how to download the letter on your usb what is the name of your design for the letter
What size did you use for font names
cool
Great video. How are you liking the Ricoma?
I love it so much! It is a lot of fun
Hi! Where I buy this hoop magnetic ? Thanks :)
Hi can you show how to back stitch on the em 10-10 thanks
I’m not aware of backstitching on an embroidery machine ? There is tie in and tie offs which knot the beginning and ending stitches but that is programmed into the design not the machine
What is your tension for your machine
Where did you get the appliqué lettering?
Did you use a bobbin thread color that matched your towel?
I just used white but you definitely could use a color that matches your too thread. I usually stick to white or black bobbin. With the nap of the towel you barely notice it and this is such a light gray that it almost matches anyway

I have the ricoma em1010 and a janome 500e.

Hi Lorrie, did you use white bobbin thread or the same color as the top thread. Thanks
I used white. My thread is light grey so it really didn’t make much of a difference
There’s no link to the mighty hoop😢
Hi Lori. Did you use a knockdown stitch?
No I did not
where do you get the magnetic hoops? THX

Where are the links please?
Do you still love the Ricoma em1010?
I really do. I have never had an issue that wasn’t user error.
how do you get the font bigger
How long does it take to do one towel?

@@LorrieNunemaker thanks for getting back. How long did it take to do the one in your video?
What the size of your letter
How much does this machine cost?
You have to go through the website to get the answer. I do know that if you finance it you can get it for as low as $130 a month.
How do you get the image from chroma to the flash drive?
Once you’ve designed it, click file, save as. Name it and choose the flash drive that you have plugged into your computer. On a Mac you have to change the extension to .dst. On windows I believe you can choose dst from the drop down menu

Ricoma's design software.
It’s embroidery software
