Thanks so much for taking the mystery out of this process! I won't be afraid to accept an order like this in the future! It really helped to see the entire process!
Thanks for showing us the entire process. I have done names on pillows where I followed all of these steps. My customer was “thrilled” with the results.
I'm so glad you put out this video! I felt a little insecure that I needed to use a digitizer. I thought I would look bad for doing that. LOL thought most embroiderers did their own digitizing.
Perfect Timing. I have polo shirts to do that is the easy part. They dropped off “windbreaker” material vest. I am unsure if I can embroider on them or should I use HTV ? Of course I cannot find like material anywhere to test. Thanks Lisa
That’s exactly what I do! I use a different digitiser though. Or I do it myself when I get time(I’m still learning to digitise on PE design) great video.
Hi Kelly! I have Baby Lock machines and I purchased Durkee EZ frames. I am soooo struggling! I can’t get my machines to recognize the size of the hoops. Can you do a video to help me?
Thanks Kelly, question, when you do a test stitch on fabric on cotton and it’s not like the actual product of towel and thin nylon, do you ever find a difference when you do the final stitch out? Tia
Thank you so much for sharing this. This content is vital for my emerging small business. Here's my question: so your client now owns this embroidery file. How to you give it to them. Do you put it on a thumb drive with details on machine format. So they can use it as needed with other embroiderers? Do you add additional charges for the drive? Or do you ask them to provide there own file storage device. I like to know every $ as part of the overhead of producing every item
I just email it to them and let them know I have it saved on my end if they need anything else embroidered in the future! Most likely they will come back to you!!
You have exceptional timing! I recently was asked to do a logo and was like um....normally if it's simple I can digitize it but this one..not so much. Question do you charge them your cost or do you add a fee for yourself and do you give the digitized file to them or keep it? Thank you so much for this info ❤️😁
I have never digitized anything! So good for you! I just charge them the exact fee I am charged. I email them the file for later use and let them know i have it saved if they want to have something embroidered again in the future!
This is incredibly helpful! Wow! One quick question I sent my file to Apex and it’s already come back (fast!) but when I load it into my machine it says the file is too big for the large embroidery hoop. How or what can I use to scale the image smaller so it fits on my 4X4?
I don't think so - plus it would not be much of a return for you profit wise - I get my customers to cover the cost of the digitizing when they place their order
@@EmbroideryNurse I think it would over time, might take a certain number of sales to break even but every sale after that is 100% profit. Surely many design sites outsource some if not all their digitising! So looking into this. 🤓

You’ve got it!!!!

I use them all the time!! I do not have a clue how to digitize!!
Awesome! Thank you

It’s tough to tell!! I would just stabilize them heavily!! I used 2 pieces of poly mesh cross crossed and a piece of tear away!!
@@EmbroideryNurse thanks just scared because I don’t have a backup
Try joanns in the utility section

Singer futura sewing and embroidery machine. If I order a logo digitized will my machine work to do this? This will be my first time embroidering
You just have to make sure you have it digitized in the format your machine reads. For instance my Ricoma reads DST and my baby locks read PES
Hi Kelly! I have Baby Lock machines and I purchased Durkee EZ frames. I am soooo struggling! I can’t get my machines to recognize the size of the hoops. Can you do a video to help me?
I can try! I don’t actually change anything on the machine when I use my fast frames but let me mess with it and see if I can give you any tips!
Thanks Kelly, question, when you do a test stitch on fabric on cotton and it’s not like the actual product of towel and thin nylon, do you ever find a difference when you do the final stitch out? Tia
Not normally - you can tell on the stitch out what it’s going to look like on anything - towels just usually add water soluable stabilizer on top.
Need a simple designed digitized
Does it matter what type of file you send to the digitizer?

I've bought designs from Apex they were the first company I used when I got my machine

What size did you ask for it to be?
@@EmbroideryNurse I asked for 4” x 4”
@@yardsandmilesstudio then I would reach back out to Apex! They will make it right!
@@EmbroideryNurse ok will do thank you!
@@EmbroideryNurse They made it right and fast! Thank you again for your videos. They’re a tremendous help!
Can you use these services to digitise original artwork and sell the designs to machine embroiderers in your own online store?

What if they sent me a photograph of their shirt with a logo but i cannot remake it. Do they need to send me a file?
I ask for the a file or the absolute BEST picture they can provide, the digitizers I use are pretty amazing with what they can work with!!
One colour, the quick way... You chose violet red, then go to the '1 color' tab, open this, click violet red & they will all change in one go :-)
Oh good to know!! Tell me all your trucks!!
I meant tricks 🤣
