Some of those "kids" are hitting 30. Might be time to set them loose. This sailing thing is more about the parents than the poor "kids" that have to donate their lives to their parents "vanity vacation". It was ALL about vanity, now it is about viewers clicking the "like" button to impress advertisers. They have been at this for ten years. Time to change the ages on the intro. Renee is NOT 48 years old, maybe ten years ago when this all started. They changed everything about the introduction but were too vain to change the ages of the adults. The hair dye demarcation lines are looking absolutely ridiculous. creepy huh? It is not all creepy, the production value is very high. How many videos can you make with six people sitting on a platform in the middle of the ocean. Not many. They are rather boring.
I think you must be confused. All our ages are accurately reflected in each intro. No one is 30, although I definitely feel 30! We’ve been doing this for 8 years, not ten. And if you hate us all so much why do you watch?? Regardless, thanks for the comment to push the algorithm in our favor 🫶🏼 ~Renee (age 50 and proud)
My goodness.....how is this reaction of Thomas possible?? Please please team Zatara, don't listen to such a rubbish!!! What you do and what you, and the kids, show us all is more than perfect and every time a great joy to watch.....so go on please!!!!! We love you all
hahahaha you must be one of those trolls. sorry none of those "kids" are even close to being 30! They are living a life only you and I dream of and learning about cultures around the world first hand.
I've said this before Renee, your videos in 4K are remarkable! The editing and fluidity of content just go so easily. The Boys could learn a thing or two from your videos!😊👍
Hello Keith and Renee, I would like to thank you both for showing the sailing world, in well made and edited videos, that a normal family can transition from a land lifestyle to a sailboat lifestyle with young children and survive for 8 years. Sailing the world's Oceans and still ending up happily Married with such beautiful well rounded and respectful children! I'd guess it's skill and daring! I'd also guess Mr. Allen is just jealous of your success or perhaps, he's just a goofy person. I hope you carry on to Alaska and beyond. Cheers from Canada.
I've binge watched you guys for months. I enjoy the show, you guys have a great sense of humor and good taste in music. You guys have a beautiful family and I'm glad Keith figured out that he needed to stop chasing money while he was still young enough to make a change and go out and enjoy life with his family. Renee, your support of your husband and your care for your family is great to watch, made possible by all your great video and editing skills. I will never forget when you got in "character" for the great dinghy race, or when you dressed up like Keith for halloween...so Hilarious lol😅 Keith my man, you've got some mad repair skills, it's more than just "common sense." You can take a pat on the back for that one. Love you guys, God Bless 🙏
You guys do such a great job with editing and music! I love being part of your adventure, so much, beauty! What are we gonna do when you guys stop sailing!
I saw Zatara docked in Miami today. Pretty cool to see that boat has travelled around the world. I didn’t want to over step my boundaries and come up and say hello. Hope you all have fun in Miami and Welcome Home.
I hope you guys know that you are an extremely blessed family. It looks like you're in complete control without stress. I also know that your little ones are going to flee one day, and I will be watching your adjustments on that. Looking forward to more great moments on your adventures. I've been wondering how you feel about the electric cats now coming out, is that next?? Have fun..
Can't help but get the feeling you guys are winding up this 8yr adventure, and that makes me sad. Of course I know it is not over yet but I do know the full family adventures may be finishing up soon. I'm so glad the kids are continuing on with their own adventures in the future and bringing us along. I'm looking forward to seeing where Keith, Renee and Kate will be in the near future, I hope we still have a bit of boat life left but I'm stoked to see what happens next, land or sea. Over the years I, and I'm sure many others, have become so invested in your channel, your family, your growth and I'm going to miss the old times...but look forward to the new. Thank you for the countless years of entertainment and laughs out there on the water, Whitaker family. I know this isn't the end but I can't shake the feeling this way will be soon 😌 Love ya guys! 💙 Ps, would LOVE to see more pf Kate's art!
Nice video, liked the swimming in the Atlantic bit the most ☺️ We have been following your journey since a few months now and finally bought a boat to sail the Caribbean! Thanks for being great inspo, you appear on our first sailing video ❤
Great video. I look forward to your videos every Thursday. I live in the Bahamas and have experienced many boat trips around our islands. Anchoring out, especially in the Exumas, is an experience to be treasured. Keep on living your dream. What great memories you are creating. All of you.
It kind of sucks when our children get old enough to go off on their own to live their owns lives and adventures. But that's the ultimate goal for us parents. It doesn't make it any easier watching them go but we definitely feel pride knowing that we got them safely to this point in their lives. Fortunately, parents today have hundreds maybe thousands of hours of video to look back on. We're looking forward to watching or hearing about everyones next great adventure. *Smooth sailing if you're still on the boat and safe travels Y'all*
Renée is a super Mum as always and a special thanks to Finn for his talent singing some America's song!! More I watch it more I like your channel and your Family! 💛🧡❤💚💙
Renée, your a fantastic videographer, Love how you and Keith were able to get away on your own so to speak. Love Keiths little dance by the falls. I just don't want any of this to end. your whole family that does videos and tells us about the life behind the camera and in front of it is like watching a movie. its so good i want to keep watching and watching. Such good video from all of you. With that I thank you. Just amazing.
So glad all of you arrived safe and sound. Being handicapped I can’t make it, even if I could. I’ve followed just about all of your adventures…God Bless and keep all of you Safe..
I wonder what's next for Zatara crew after finishing circumventing the world? Can't wait to see you at sea again after 6 months of resting in land and be with your families and relatives. Hope to see Anna join the crew again. Hehe. Love your journey guys! Been watching you all since day 1 of your journey at sea. :)
Okay, you put a smile on my very tired face. At the end of your Blue Water Crusing Plan advert, the little 'jiggle' and specific sound you used. I haven't heard that sound in a very long time. I have to wonder how many people do NOT know what that sound is.
Thanks for the Kiss Kate... It healed and cured all my depressions. Dad is looking older and Mom is getting younger. What in the world is going on... 😂
Hey all! I really enjoy watching! I'm not a boat person or traveler at all. So it's been great to see the adventures. My question is....what's next? What a great adventure your family has been on. I'm sure it's much appreciated now, but will most likely become more appreciative years from now when looking back. What a fantastic learning experience for all! Including myself.
I loved your explanation/information on swimming in the middle of the ocean. That water is so crystal clear and beautiful!!!! I'd love to see more of it. I loved seeing Jack rescue Finn as he was sinking down. He was quite far down and it was sooo clear!!! It would be so fun to swim! Thank You!
Renee take advantage when kids are busy & just you and Keith at that beautiful waterfall . I wish Fin the best of luck with van life you all as a wonderful family who have taught your children many more things in fife then most Kids , young adults will ever learn including myself . Keep doing what you all choose . No regrets ❤️🙏🏻 & no mater what you all do together or apart I hope we can continue to be a part Thank you .
Hey guys, I live in the Tampa Bay area and I used to live in South Florida, And I would love to catch up with you guys at margaritaville. I need to get that on my schedule. LOL Love you guys.
Renee, your videography is spectacular! Tell Jack that they have discovered that they think megalodon still exist, and did not go extinct. You’ll be happy campers when you get food. Finn Sounds so good!!! Kate, you looked so adorable when you kissed the camera underwater And I think Finn grew 3 inches going across the pond what a beautiful island!!!!! Fabulous! Thank you. Sending love from California and LIZ.🤟🏻💕⛵️😎🇺🇸
Welcome home you guy’s! Loved the video just not long enough but I understand it takes so long of editing. Renee you have just gotten so good at it. ❤❤❤
This is just brilliant! Thanks for sharing such an amazing family trip. I'm subscribed to quite a few channels and I just discovered you all! Amazing and definitely top 10 .Looking forward to your next adventure. God bless you all.
12:20 love this analogy from Capt Keith…so true man. Only buy a boat from a seasoned sailor that did what you wanna do…at least then you can gain so much advice and experience right from the horses mouth…👍
Welcome back to our side of the world! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Love following you all around the globe. Makes me wish I had done something like this when I was young. I still regret not taking the foreign exchange student offer to go to Germany when I was in high school. Now Germany is just another place on my bucket list I have yet to make it to. Don't want to waste those 4 years of German class. Guten Tag euch allen.
Finn, I've seen many Vanigans for sale. So glad you guys made the crossing! I rarely see negative comments on this channel. I think it might be a bot. Hope you're enjoying your time on land in Florida!
I learnt to play guitar 45 years ago using the America complete music book - Great to see Finn playing Ventura Highway in 2024. Nice for you to all be on home soil again for a while.
For Finn: VW’s are now collectors. For what you’d be paying it would benefit you to get an AWD sprinter type van and deck it out. Plus it would be WAY more reliable. So you can concentrate on your exploring and not fixing your vehicle all the time.
A vw would be a good teacher in mechanics. With the ability to work on it yourself a diesel vw becomes one of the most reliable vehicles possible. Parts are still made. A lot of cash and education for it to potentially get rear ended and totaled... out there on the tar. I'd get something more disposable. Especially as a starter van. A sprinter leased would be the millinenial thing to do. Diesel is the way to go if you can afford it. Takes more knowledge to work on em, but ultimately more reliable. Now vanlife.... vanlife and the choices on setup are a whole different story. Ppl do it in ambulances with 0$ into it, and others are cruising 100k sprinter conversions. Mine is an airport shuttle bus with more in batteries than the cost of the vehicle itself.
Or the cheap way if you can't find a decent priced 4x4 van- If your Dad still has the white Excursion: Borrow it for a few years and put a roof top tent on it ;) Plenty of those running around decked out Overland style with people living in them. Those are some serious bulletproof machines. I'm on my 3rd one.
A really good cheap option is a Chevy Express van and the state of California has been selling off old California lottery vans that have Quigley 4x4 conversions, they were used to deliver lottery tickets to retailers. You can't beat the reliability of a LS engine and a 4L80e transmission. Parts are literally available everywhere and they are inexpensive and they are easy to work on.
Agree 100% ! Prices on VW vans going through roof but they always been a drive to breaks and fix again till breaks and so on. A sprinter with a smaller diesel engine will handle everything for Fin.
I love your vids. It’s so relaxing to watch and learn about life at sea. Fascinating! I snorkeled at turtle island from a catamaran once in St Thomas…my only experience swimming in deep ocean. Be blessed and thanks for taking us along on your adventure.
After all these recent videos, if i didn’t know any better, i would assume Luke is the third brother. He’s such a great fit in the energy of your family.

Thanks for sharing another fine video.
You guys do such a great job with editing and music! I love being part of your adventure, so much, beauty! What are we gonna do when you guys stop sailing!
I would like to think that if I had had my own family it would resemble yours. Your kiddos are so well rounded, confident and intelligent.

LoL 😂 I loved Kate’s response about if she’s afraid of sharks: “my timbers are being shivered”
One thing about kate is she will always be capable to care for herself as an adult in future.
I always say that😭
