Updated Prithviraj - Gurjaras Campaign! | 2. The Digvijaya | Dynasties of India

- No Naga or pointless A-to-B needed!
In this scenario, we've gotta start conquering in all directions. We mostly do this by killing the other three rajas in the area. But there is a new sidequest, an updated map, and Jayachandra is a bit more intimidating as an enemy!

RIP the nagas, also Kaimbasa got demoted to camel scout, no wonder he betrays Pritviraj after that 11
Nobody will miss the naga. I will miss their pets though.
Kaimbasa: Not even a raja can go toe-to-toe with the mighty tiger
Magyar villager surrounded by dead tigers: Haha, puny dagger go brrrrr
I seriously feel like they need to buff tigers in this game to do like 12 dmg and 2 melee armor
The food trickle may be slow but as this scenario demonstates it is resistant to raids.
The Guajarati pronunciation so on point by the units , with the correct tone and accent as well. Very well done by the devs! looking forward to this DLC!!
If I had a nickel for everytime Prithviraj is revamped, I'd have 2 nickles.....
Which isn't much it's just weird that it's only happened 2 times
funny how we keep seeing the CAs even though the civ is not supposed to have them at all.
It's really smart design that the game can have three different throwing units and they each have different roles and feel different.
5:48 Beautiful reference, to the beginning :)
I wonder how they changed the 3rd - 5th mission because of the achievements.
In 3rd Indian campaign the countdown units is 'years' not 'minutes' said in achievement.
And you will face the same opponent in 5th mission in new patch, like in 4th mission of current patch version.
Sudden thought! Are the Shrivamsha Riders going to be really good against towers? As they hit against their extra bar, and the towers have a low(ish) rate of fire so it will get a lot of opportunity to refill.
1v1 shrivamsha will win against ungarrisoned tower. But how often do you build a tower and not garrison it full of villagers when there are enemies around?
Ornlu my man, dacoits are bandits, the word translates to robber or highwaymen. You get the gist tho, anyways, there's a word in Bengali that's almost the same as dacoit, tho instead we say dacat.
Love the animal nursery mechanic from Galactic Battlegrounds made it to Age of Empires 2 a gazillion years later. Are air units next?
... Ornlu Galactic Battlegrounds campaign playthroughs when
There was that Chinese official, Wan Hu, who lived sometime between 4000 to 500 years ago, who tied a bunch of rockets to his chair to fly to outer space.
I'm pretty sure you didn't need those transport ships. When you clicked to check at 23:37 I think your units were going to pass on the shallows on the right
yeah, you can now reach this area without a transport, which is nice, because there's a lot of wood
5:50
Tbh the English would go on to terrorise all of India too.
Also in the colour red as well!
with 3 militia
Another perfect timing! I just got "No Wonder on my Watch" and as soon as I turn the game off, here this is :D
I love how they removed rng stuff, killing several lizzard and monks on the way
I like this campaign and scenario very much.
Yeah probs best the Naga part is missing lol.
"Naga" is an exonym for a collection of many indigenous ethnic groups in India and South East Asia but they call themselves a different names depending on their tribal group.
They don't seem to have any relationship to the Nāgas of Hindu mythology that I can find so casting them as random reptile worshiping villians is a bit... rude lol.
Yeah, the Naga bit was weird, and a real pain to get out of. Glad that was removed.
😍I just wait for 3rd Hand of princess
This looks like a *huge* improvement over the original, super nice!
I played it recently and it definitely, DEFINITELY is. The random "fight a bunch of animals and priests while trying not to lose your only transport to random towers" part is completely gone and there has been a few useful tweaks to the map layout as well. .... and I am pretty sure ,that drush is also new.
It is still one of those scenarios, where at any given point you have at least 2 blinking dots on the mini map 11
"dacoits" are the indian english word for bandits. It's from the hindi "daaku"
Would this update warrant a higher placement on the tier list for the campaign ;) ?
I will miss the silliness of the Naga a bit, although it was really weird and perhaps a little...problematic. Also it seems this is still a "you are stuck in the middle of this" kinda mission. Oh joy xD
Do water buffalos gives more food per min than the sheeps?
Did this release ? I thought it will be released at 28th of this month ? am i wrong ?
I still have not beat this campaing, this time I will crush it
Did they also improve other campaigns or only the ones which got their civ changed?
Idk - I haven't had the time to look through every single scenario in the game 11
Nice
As an Italian, I would like to see an expansion similar to the Indian one also for Italy: transforming the Sforza campaign into the Lombards campaign (building the Castello Sforzesco in the final mission would be the most worthy conclusion), new campaigns dedicated to Genoese (which would be the Italians, considering their Wonder and their special unity), Venetians and Florentines. It would be a bomb.
I would like to see that too, though
would you split the Italian civ up into multiple civs like say the Genoese, Venicians and Papal states?
Commento basatissimo.
Anche se l'area coperta dal nostro popolo è piccola rispetto al continente indiano, pure noi meriteremmo una nostra espansiome. Genova, Venezia, Milano, Firenze e lo Stato Pontificio dovrebbero essere rappresentati nel gioco.
Way too much in the east left to get covered before they do more in Europe.
I think Africa will be next.
India is a whole subcontinent, Italy really isn’t on the same scale when it comes to civs. It already has 2 and that’s plenty for a little peninsula.
@@EresirThe1st Exactly, even with Sicilians being more "Normans" than the Sicilian Kingdom, the cultural diversity isn't really there between the city-states to warrant a rework into multiple civs, just like adding Austria or Saxony would be next to the already existing Teutons
6:00 those poor red militia, they came to kill the jaguar's to help youand you murder them with volleys of arrows
16:08 you said tiles the first time as well 👍🏼
much better than the original but man these factions are ruthless
What's the point of garrisoning animals ?
Ornlu i have a question, since the new indians are gonna be the hindustanis, will the Prithviraj campaing now become a dlc exclusive or is it going to stay and become a sort of "free sample" for the new civs?
It's a free sample essentially
Gujarat has heresy... The only Indians who have it. Also the only one who has light cavalry with even more attack against monks. What's the point there?
Because Gurjaras have the weakest elephant play most likely
@@OrnLu_AoE ok it makes sense. But that's something that I don't like. They are cavalry civilization and they have the EA but not the battle elephant. It's not logical for me.
I'mm sorry but absolutely fuck this map, even on standard I am just getting slammed in all directions.
I hope forgotten empires and microsoft put more americans civis like Olmecas, Muiscas, Mapuches, Caribeans, and Im colombian
The AI harassment in this mission is unbelievable. I didn't think of turtling up like you did, instead tried to benefit off the elephants and berry bushes and stuff that they for whatever reason leave out for you, but it's rather pointless when every 5 minutes the AI launches an attack (which for whatever reason didn't happen to you, you only had 2 early attacks...) and you just have nothing to defend yourself, running back and forth, so I guess might as well sit right in the base. I've tried building armies, didn't matter, just hurt me early ECO. Fifth try now, hopefully I'll get as lucky as you did...
me too it seemed this mission is just sooo fucking hard
@@el_chico1313 Eventually, I've soldiered through it, but I can't remember what I did. I've played through most of the campaigns, so they sort of blend together for me :)
But the Ganga is nowhere near Rajasthan lmao
Chambal
03:21 I am glad they removed that Naga bit! while it was great content, it was kinda cringe & out of place 11
