You explain it well. You gotta be the kind of person who works on their own stuff without being intimidated or frustrated unless you want to wait a years for everything to be refined down to push button for simplicity
I've had the Prestige A3+R for a couple of weeks now. I am loving it so far, but I had a couple of hours of panick attacks the first day because it was displaying "critical error" lights when trying to start it up. Turns out there was a clamp holding the printhead carriage in place. I havent seen a single unboxing where someone had to remove this clamp, nor did the tutorials say anything about it. I was lucky enough to notice it and remove it before sending it back and had the printer running and printing within the first 24hrs.

I was in the same boat, took about 3 weeks to work out the bugs. With that being said the other issue is sales! Everyone is doing DTF and selling printed sheets for $2!!! I have some of mine in Etsy, fb, letgo, all with shipping available and I think I’ve sold maybe $40 worth in about month! I have monthly payments on my printer of $278 a month my monthly sale of $40 doesn’t even cover the cost of supplies I’ve used lol😂, hope everyone else is doing better then me, good luck people. Hi, thanks for the video, I wish I'd seen it a year ago when it came out... I've had a By-20 since the beginning of this year, connected to a shaker and an oven; when they installed it for me they filled me with recommendations... make it work every day, clean it regularly, because the DTF inks are particular (I already had three ecosolvent plotters and two sublimation printers) the machine itself does frequent automatic cleaning and circulation of the ink, because this machine, to work well, must WORK, it must not stand still. At the beginning everything went well, the machine is fantastic, the prints of very high quality, everything ok... But then the summer season arrived, the work got serious, and the problems began... Because the machine , designed for production, which must work, which is in line with the shaker and oven to produce continuously, cannot withstand intensive workloads. I'm talking about hours and hours of continuous printing, 8, 12, even 16 hours of continuous work are unthinkable. After hours of work the colors begin to disappear and it's not a cleaning problem... It really seems like the head isn't holding up, to restart correctly it has to "rest" for hours... Maybe it's overheating? I don't know, they're investigating, they're telling us that "we're probably using the printer too much"...(?!?). Never had these problems with previous technologies, my opinion is that DTF is still too young... Thanks and goodbye
I got the A3+ broooooo you ain’t lying you gotta figure it out by yourself , had it about three weeks and now I’m flowing and making money . Cadlink is a crazy learn aswell
Ok, I agree & some I disagree. I have the exact same one you have. 1. My first one had a broken piece in the machine. You, being an influencer, will have better customer service available than a small business like mine. After 6 weeks of trying to get calls back and the issue resolved. I did a youtube video discussing the issues I was having, so be careful who you buy from. The next day, I received an email that my replacement printer was on the way. 2. I bought a large dehumidifier that helped the machine not have as many problems. 3. Every day, I shake the inks. If I do not, & miss 1 day of printing it takes forever to get it up and running. 4. If you do not print everyday, detailed graphic images I wouldn't spend the money. I love designing start to finish so i don't mind the extra work. Every issue is another 30 to 45 minutes of researching how to fix it. Today it was how to reset the waste tank setting. I print roughly 15 to 25 prints a day. Personally I love the printer. Just know it will take patience. The company is not as responsive to a small business's like myself. Once again a awesome and truthful video from A Dubb!
I don’t think me being an influencer made a difference. If that was the case why would I have had the experience I had? Check the date of my unboxing video till the next time I made a video actually printing. At least a month. You think that’s preferential treatment? After they fixed mine I’ve never had any issues. Never had to shake my ink. The A3+R actually has a self agitation system. Mine sits sometimes and i just do a print head cleaning before i print the next time and I have no issues. Had to draw white ink with the syringe shine once but that’s about it. Been working fine. The company you decide to purchase from definitely makes a difference. Aa print supply was ok. Could have been better but they got it resolved. Not was fast as i would have liked but they got it done. Just trying to let people know what they are in for based off of my experience. This was not preferential treatment.
@adubbproductions sorry I offended you. You took that personal. In no way did I mean it that way. Simply said, you have a following, you inspire others to buy products the companies sell, if not directly, then indirectly. People see these machines via your channel, the company benefits from your videos. They make sales from your demonstrations of their product. Sometimes even giving you equipment for you to show others. There is nothing wrong with that. That is simply the way business works. I'm happy for all the influencers on here and have made great friends. I am not an influencer, just something i didn't want to try, I'm not good at that. I watch to learn, encourage others, and I thought to be encouraged, to watch the equipment you and others use to see if it fits right for my business. I have learned many things from you. The main point was missed of MY OPINION, to others if they are looking at dtf. That took a whole other meaning than what I was commented.
@@TamiT3 you don’t offend me at all. Don’t take it that way. I’m just t try but to reason. I made a video about the experience i had. It wasn’t a pleasant one. Lol. So i just think it didn’t make sense to me that you thought i might have gotten that treatment when i just made this video about what to expect. I wasn’t offended just trying to reason with you. Sorry if you took it that way.
You are absolutely right. I bought a Roland BN-20D. It arrived in March and hasn’t worked yet and that’s after 4 technician visits to my home. They have replaced it and the new one arrived today. Fingers crossed. I also who have the BN-20.
Wow. They have issues too huh. Interesting. All these machines are worth working threw the issues though. When you get to the other side they run great.
When it comes to d t f printers, the problem is just the white ink. All the colors will work without issues. All the DTF companies have to do is give a WINDEX cartridge or just employment a cleaning system🤔 Otherwise great 👍🏿 technology love it.
Mine had a rare defect. They offered to replace it but couldn’t tell me when I could get a new printer. So I’m in the process of doing a return this week.
@adubbproductions It is true, specially if you rush to use it without study the printer and its functionality first. I bought a Procolored L800 almost a year ago, is an entry level printer, but it worked perfect from the start, maybe I was lucky, but I watched a lot of RUclips videos before even unboxing it, lol. I was really nervous at the beginning, but your videos encouraged me to enter the DTF world, precisely because you say it like it is. Thank you for that.
Great advice. You helped me with my dtg and drying time. This was very helpful, I have the Ricoma Vision dtg and have issues with getting a print to act right. So I know that this machine will also do dtf and I watched you as I usually do to learn. This eye opening as I haven’t had a lotta success yet and thought I should try dtf. Please make a video on the Ricoma dtg and its issues, the people should know.

Looks to me if they are going to be that phenomenal of a printer and they are so expensive when ordered a technician would deliver and set it up and teach you how to troubleshoot
Damn bro, you saying these things don't work right the box the same issues I been having with engraving lasers too. Seems all these things have same issues across the board. Wild.
@AaronLeuppeth I haven't had any issues with my laser cutter at all and my new dtf printer works flawlessly. I've had it for idk maybe 6-7 months now. It's amazing.
I want one.I see before it was about screen printing and embroidery now update I want a direct to film and the oven some are pricey.I would like to try direct to garment to I know for direct to garment you can only print on cotton but also is better a details and color thats what i see online.
My DTF printer worked out of the box no issues to begin with. The only issue i have is that the white gets clogged right away. Anyone have any pointers to fix that
I’m not having white clogging issues. I suggest doing a head cleaning and nozzle check everytime you are about to print. That’s what I do. Never have any issues.
Once it is up and running it is user friendly it’s just the initial set up. Some people are saying that they had no issues. Now I print with it all the time and it is very easy to use.
Hey just wanted to say, I just got some screen printing equipment....free! Looks like i have everything here! Someone dumped it last night and I picked it up this morning 😅
Bro I've looking into doing DTF currently sublimating. But as far as DTF printer have in dis video do have a video about maintenance or could u tell me bout it plz
You are totally right! Sad to say that I spend so much money for mine and still haven’t been able to make one single good print! It’s been sitting down for months cus I was so discouraged and disappointed! But this video brings me hope to keep trying. Any advice on cleaning a epson L1800 ? Thanks!
Me and a local screen printer were having words about maintenance. He kept telling me 30-40 minutes of cleaning ain’t worth the time or clearing clogs. I said labor of love. I wear a mask all the time and vented fumes outside the building with an inline booster. I always wear gloves and a garment.
That sounds like my dtg. I’ve cleaned this thing once and that’s it. Printed well over 500 transfers already. Idk. Everyone seems to be having different experiences.
We appreciate you I've been watching your videos from time to time just because, your videos are interesting and also you touch bases on the important things like that powdery substance definitely specialist I will highly recommend wearing that mask keep up the great work Buddy.❤ Coming from the oil kids
Are you talking about 2 to 3 weeks when starting up or this is a time issue to hsve to deal with after you've set up the printer? Im think when i get order's if they are having to wait 2 to 3 weeks just for me to make the order thats not good time to send out. I am just looking online to purchase everything i need to make my apparel designs. I guess what im wondering is, what printer is worth the price but not so complicated?
All dtf printers are going to be complicated to a person just starting off. The one I found easiest to use was my Ricoma Revel 2402-T you must know that by the time I got that machine I had already previously owned two other dtf machines so I was experienced in the technology. You can’t compare that to someone that hasn’t owned and operated anything. It is not realistic for you to expect to get any machine dtf, dtg. Sublimation, embroidery and be filling orders right away. No matter what you divide you are going to have to spend time and learn how to to use whatever you get before you fill your first order. In the meantime just use people like me to fill your transfer orders. www.allanawade.com
Definitely the Prestige R2 out of those two options. Even though I’ve never used the pro colored dtf system i am familiar enough with the L1800 model and i would say definitely not for that one. The R2 hands down. Now even though I don’t have and have never used the R2 i know for sure it is significantly faster than the L1800 and I am close to people that have it. It’s a good system as long as you take care of it properly.
Well, I already have 2 Ri1000 dtg printers. So dtg is covered. But when making DTF prints it’s very difficult if you are printing out large quantities on a dtg printer. With the dtf printer you have the roller system and you can press print and walk away nd come back to 20 or so DTFs. With the dtg you gotta powered each one individually and put it in an oven then take it out and repeat for each print. What if someone orders 50 or 100. That’s a lot of labor. I’d rather set up my dtf connect it to the shaker oven press print and walk away.
@elvingabrielpr DTF no brainer. I have 2 DTG printers and have had a few dtf printers. Both dtgs have cleaning solution in them turned off. Sitting collecting dust. My dtf is never going off.
Mine has worked with no issues only problem I really see with DTF is that it cracks with the first wash any tips what I can do differently to make sure they don't crack anymore???
I seen something called protective coating but I don't really see anybody explaining it in a video and I don't want to buy something that I don't know how it works
I remember watching a Martha Stewart segment in which she recommended to everyone that they buy a wheel of cheese, for $4000. "If you budget permits..." sounded just like that Martha Stewart segment.
i have a procolored machine. the first couple weeks i needed to buy a new print head now the only problem im having is the white doesn’t align with the color
I have the prestige a3+r. I was lucky in that mine worked pretty good out of the gate. It did have some white ink issues later on though. Black ink seeped in to the white ink dampers somehow.
We are ordering DTF's because we don't have a printer yet. I do have a sublimation printer and a good embroidery machine. Could you comment on the white toner DTF machines? I just saw a video from HPN on them. No oven, no powder sounds great; but is it really good enough? I know you will be honest. Thanks.
No. Dtf is better. Better feel better colors at a lower price. Plus you don’t have to marry the sheets which is super time consuming and difficult to get perfect every single time. White toner has its advantages such as applying to hard surfaces but it’s not touching dtf as far as garment decorating quality of feel and look.

I went through months of learning curves and we have had it 6 months still always learning
Thank you for being honest. There should be more like you!!
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Respirator to make T-shirt im good with my weeding and my toner transfer but thank you for telling the true finally someone did
No issues but it helped to have had the old dtg machine that never worked for us. Dtf printers have to be used daily.
I absolutely agree with you.
I love your realness! That’s how I was for DTG so I’m glad you keeping it real
I got the A3+ broooooo you ain’t lying you gotta figure it out by yourself , had it about three weeks and now I’m flowing and making money . Cadlink is a crazy learn aswell
Yes It is definitely a learning curve and i have two converted Epson 7980 once i got them converted and fine tuned its been smooth ride.
I feel the same way. Once you are up and running these things are money printers.
Converted?....please inform
@@taquiviajulisajoiner8354 Hi what did you need to know?
That's not dtf. Lol it's a cheap knock off alternative.
Simply said, you have a following, you inspire others to buy
products the companies sell, if not directly, then indirectly.
I love the thing.
Thank you for that.
omg that is true i have one and boyyy it took me 2 weeks to get it right and also u have to clean the line every day even if you do use the printer
Thanks for the honesty, A Dubb!
I am currently waiting for our DTF Printing System to come in!
I appreciate your honesty. I want to start a business. So glad I found your video.
I would love to know more about starting up a business. Anymore information you can share I would appreciate it
I have a weekly zoom call you can get in and talk. It’s available for members of my channel. We are getting on a call today at 7pm on a few minutes actually. We normally get on zoom calls on Fridays at 7pm. You have to be a top tier member of the channel to access the zoom calls.
D I did have any problems getting started. I'm so glad!
Got it, thank you so much for you honesty
Thank you for your honesty and support. This video has really helped me out a lot. God Bless you!!!
Mine worked right out of the box. It’s all about buying from the right company. Digital Heat FX DTF 12-2 from ColDesi
I really love your honesty about the subject.
I was told by our vendor that the residual oily substance is called “glycol”. They said it forms in the condensation of the powder.
omg lol this sounds like hell, I already have anxiety before I have the printer haha
Thanks for the transparent info. Good to know this in advance.
can you buy them pre configure to avoid the headache?
Mines worked out the box PERFECT . But had to install a new print head in 5 months
I was lucky :D but not so lucky with oven :d works 3h then shutdown for another 2 weeks to solve problem with production side in china :) but now all good to go
Thanks for sharing this valuable information! Didn't know about the fumes!
My pleasure.
Thanks for all the good info, after making my decision , all stores are out of the 3A R plus. 😐 looks like they trying to push the sell on the 4A , now to wait until they get it back on stock
Thank you for sharing your experience .....learned a lot!
I will be purchasing the same set up as you at the end of the month. I also have several embroidery machines and both the DFT printer/oven will be in the same room as the embroidery machines. Have you noticed if the DTF fumes are in the shirts that you embroider?
Hello friend, I am a manufacturer of DRT printers. Our machines use i3200 nozzles, and the printing quality and machine quality are very good! Can you give me an opportunity to collaborate with you?
Huge fan of you work bro. Appreciate you.
Thank you. 🙏🏾
ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON BROTHER
Looks to me if they are going to be that phenomenal of a printer and they are so expensive when ordered a technician would deliver and set it up and teach you how to troubleshoot
Great info about DTF and health info.
Thanks so much for your truth!! Is the software compatible with Mac? Or does anyone know of any that are?
I want one.I see before it was about screen printing and embroidery now update I want a direct to film and the oven some are pricey.I would like to try direct to garment to I know for direct to garment you can only print on cotton but also is better a details and color thats what i see online.
How fast can your printer print with 2 colors on a 11x17?
My DTF printer worked out of the box no issues to begin with. The only issue i have is that the white gets clogged right away. Anyone have any pointers to fix that
I’m not having white clogging issues. I suggest doing a head cleaning and nozzle check everytime you are about to print. That’s what I do. Never have any issues.
What printer do you have?
@@kenishamckenzie7092 I bought mine from procolored. I have the A4 printer.
For my use, I'll continue to outsource until they come out with a "user friendly" dtf printer.
Huge score. Congratulations.
will the prints crack or peal and if so how long before it happens.
I just found your channel. Would you recommend this DTF for a beginner just starting to build a DTF business over the Revel 2402?
Bro I've looking into doing DTF currently sublimating. But as far as DTF printer have in dis video do have a video about maintenance or could u tell me bout it plz
Not considering cost, if I presently have a good press, does DTG take up less room that a DTF?
That depends on the machine you using. You got the converted joints that are small all the way up to the big boys
I have the uninet 1k and have issues with my white. Did you struggle at first ?
Yes
You are totally right! Sad to say that I spend so much money for mine and still haven’t been able to make one single good print! It’s been sitting down for months cus I was so discouraged and disappointed! But this video brings me hope to keep trying. Any advice on cleaning a epson L1800 ? Thanks!
That's sad..
Thank you for letting me know.
No problem.
was your "Go On" t shirt in this made with this printer?
No thats vinyl. I made that shirt years ago.
We appreciate you I've been watching your videos from time to time just because, your videos are interesting and also you touch bases on the important things like that powdery substance definitely specialist I will highly recommend wearing that mask keep up the great work Buddy.❤ Coming from the oil kids
What brand do you have?
Hey Wade, any recomendations on where to buy one? I'm in Nairobi.
You can’t compare that to someone that hasn’t owned and operated
anything.
You are absolutely right, But i am tired of trying to deal with Procolored I'm disgusted with their services and their machine.
im trying to start , which printer do you recommend? the prestige R2 or procolored L1800?
Definitely the Prestige R2 out of those two options. Even though I’ve never used the pro colored dtf system i am familiar enough with the L1800 model and i would say definitely not for that one. The R2 hands down. Now even though I don’t have and have never used the R2 i know for sure it is significantly faster than the L1800 and I am close to people that have it. It’s a good system as long as you take care of it properly.
How is the machine on printing our fine line art?
Only one wsy to find out. Order a few and test them out. allanawade.com/products/dtf-prints-with-your-image
Looking in to getting in to printings shirts. My question is why didn't you go with a machine that was DTG and DTF?
Well, I already have 2 Ri1000 dtg printers. So dtg is covered. But when making DTF prints it’s very difficult if you are printing out large quantities on a dtg printer. With the dtf printer you have the roller system and you can press print and walk away nd come back to 20 or so DTFs. With the dtg you gotta powered each one individually and put it in an oven then take it out and repeat for each print. What if someone orders 50 or 100. That’s a lot of labor. I’d rather set up my dtf connect it to the shaker oven press print and walk away.
@@adubbproductionsWould you start with dtf or dtg if you wanna eventually be doing both?
@elvingabrielpr DTF no brainer. I have 2 DTG printers and have had a few dtf printers. Both dtgs have cleaning solution in them turned off. Sitting collecting dust. My dtf is never going off.
Mine has worked with no issues only problem I really see with DTF is that it cracks with the first wash any tips what I can do differently to make sure they don't crack anymore???
I seen something called protective coating but I don't really see anybody explaining it in a video and I don't want to buy something that I don't know how it works
I was just thinking about getting one. I am a new business do you think it is better to just order transfers or get one
I posted before I watched the video 😂
i wonder how many people do n that. It’s ok. So based in what you saw what did you decide?
you did not mention the setup? wich machines are those?
The setup was difficult to me. This was the prestige A3+R
I remember watching a Martha Stewart segment in which she recommended to everyone that they buy a wheel of cheese, for $4000. "If you budget permits..." sounded just like that Martha Stewart segment.
I feel like to use the dtf you need to have experience with the uv printer first because uv printing is much more stress and worth it..
Oh ok. Is that how you feel or do you currently use both printing methods?
i have a procolored machine. the first couple weeks i needed to buy a new print head now the only problem im having is the white doesn’t align with the color
That’s terrible. No idea why it might be doing that.
So DTF is similar to heat press transfer old machines? Its not like DTG?
which one dtf to buy best ?
How much is the maintenance, ink ie?
I have the prestige a3+r. I was lucky in that mine worked pretty good out of the gate. It did have some white ink issues later on though. Black ink seeped in to the white ink dampers somehow.
The same thing happened to me, I had a panic 😱 attack.
awesome video👍
Great vid Allan!
I have one question tho, how much did it cost you (roughly) to start DTF printing?
What is the best printer for t shirts and hats ?
The Prestige L2
i follow a crafter who had the one from china and she sent it back because it don't work , she now has the prestige and says she love it
Yup. My team member got one from China abs hers works great. Craftable things got once fro. China and hers working fine. Idk.
Does anyone have their DTF printer in their garage? Is that enough space to air out or for ventilation? I know a respirator is needed and I agree.
Thanks for the video damon waynes
😂😂😂😂 your welcome.
Where did you purchase yours? And for how much ?
where should i purchase
Is this really DTF transfer? How does it not have that sticker plastic look?
You are 100% right! How do I keep my shorts from cracking? Anyone know any secret 😭😭😔
