You guys will love Georgia, its people and its food as much as Turkey! Georgian hospitality is a force to be reckoned with! I spent many happy months there, as emotional as Marianne was in that restaurant listening to those exquisite polyphonic voices! Wait till you see the dancing! ❤😁🤗 Don't forget to get some wine going back to Turkey. Cheap as chips in the local supermarkets. Try semi-sweet red- it's manna for the soul 🍷

Aww Marianne and Chris- what a beautiful place and what a beautiful day you had - The last place for dinner looked so nice and the singing was amazing- all round great day and lovely place to crash down at the end of the it all ! Wow 🤩❤️xx
That underground store was so mysterious!! What a find! The quick look at Georgian cuisine was *very* enticing. 🤤🤤🤤 I don't think I would be able to not finish the holdy-bit of those dumplings. They looked too tasty!

I think you are right in the heart of the tourist area, where the prices are a lot higher. If I can suggest Tfilis Restaurant. They have great Georgian cuisine and their prices are very reasonable. Have a great time!
i have some georgian origin from my great-grand mother of my father side (tough i never went to georgia) she was muslim georgians, while my great-grand father was meskhetian. (there are still some villages in the north-eastern side of turkey those speak fluent georgian, but they are muslims) on the other hand my mother side is from danube turks. my mothers father born and raised in romania, later moved to turkey with his kids. Went to Turkey with great expectations for the food. Was very dissappointed, years later I'm still comparing notes with new travellers from that place and find it a common sentiment. However last week was in Georgia.. and cant help thinking about the food. It was so so tasty, full of flavour. I loved it so much that I landed on youtube still looking for more :)

Safe travels!
Wow how fantastic. The food looks great for vegetarians like me who always feel a little queezy with all your meat dishes! I know you enjoy them… but this town seems to have something for everyone to eat! Thanks for the great video. I really want to go there!
Ohh, guys, Adjarian Khachapuri is my favourite dish ever, but the waiter had to give you instructions on how to actually eat it. First, one should break the ears of the khachapuri bread cascade (the one that looks handle) and dip inside the melted cheese, and then following cutting more slices of the bread cascade and duck inside the cheese and so on. Firstly I would like to thank you for your authentic interesting travel experiences... About the origin of wine, although Georgia is most likely one of the oldest places on earth as far as wine history and many other matters go, the oldest clay jar of wine that was discovered back in 1960s by a group of archeologists from Pensilvania USA came from “Iran”. The clay jars were over 7000 years old and believe It or not the red wine residue was very similar to Shiraz or Syrah which is a very famous grape and wine from Iran... By the way my father was Georgian and my mother was Persian...
Agreed - like so many things in history ... they were all born around the same time ... it is who documented them first that wins the race !! Thanks for y our message 🌺🙌
The wine that was found in Georgia, 8 thousand years, and 7 thousand years ago the Persians did not live there, the Semitic people lived there on the territory of Iran
Iranians are Iranians... Whoever lived in that Plateau from beginning till now is considered Iranian... Sumerian, Acadians, Medes, Parsians, Aryans, Azaries, Bakhtarians (Afghanies), Daylamians, Kurds, even Armenians and some of Georgians are all Irani people and the whole Plateau is and was considered Iran through history... I suggest to you to take a deeper study in the matter, and by the way my mother was an Iranian Archeologist...
@@sedayehneda You are now talking nonsense, there were no Iranians yet when some these peoples existed, the Sumerians and Georgians are much older than the Iranians, 7 thousand years ago there lived the Semites, who were then ousted and partially assimilated by the Iranians from the east

Hi, I really enjoyed watching this video! However, I think you might have missed out on some of the best places to eat in Georgia. As a Georgian myself, here are my recommendations: For khinkali: Dapna, Klike, and Zodiako. These places not only serve delicious khinkali but also offer a variety of other dishes at reasonable prices. For everything else: Shavi Lomi, Onore, Leila, Ninia's Bagi, Sesilia, and Puri Guliani (especially for Adjarian khachapuri). I hope you get the chance to try out these spots! They truly showcase the amazing flavors of Georgian cuisine. Thank me later :)
