I have always had Tbilisi and Georgia at the back of my mind not because of its architecture or their food, but mostly because of their culture. When Tchaikovsky composed the Nutcracker and featured the dances of the world, I am almost certain that he had the dancing men of the Caucassus and Georgia in mind. But, then, you now have famous artists like pianist Khatia Buniatishvili and violinist Lisa Biatishvili making their mark in the world. Then, you realize, that there must be something in the land, the water and the air that makes Georgians express themselves like no other people on Earth. I don't know if you are still in Georgia or if you've already moved on to Uzbekistan, but if you're reading this and are still in Georgia then I do hope you'd capture the essence of the coutry like you never have anyplace else you've been to. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the country through your eyes!
There is something that not just attracts one but drags you and ultimaltely spells them. Once here, the country hugs you to the extent that nobody on earth is able to rip you off of its soil. The soil here should have some kind of adhesive, glue-like agent.😊 This is not because of my Georgian origin which might explain it. I am astonished you as a foreigner has such perceptions even though you haven't been here.
@@grigolgiorgadze2670 it is possible that I may have lived in Georgia in a couple of my past lives. It is the only way how to explain why I know the things I know and feel about Georgia.
The last place you visited in this video is the one where I and my wife tried the best khinkali in Tbilisi! Looking at all this food makes me want to buy tickets to Georgia right away! Blessed country, blessed people! Loved your episodes on Ukraine too ;) Cheers from Kyiv! Come again!
Eat the Pkhali and Adjapbsandali with a Tone Bread next time. Also the varieties of Khinkali are more for tourists. Georgians don’t really eat potato or bean Khinkali. Next time just order Khinkali “Kalakuri” (ground meat and herbs). Which is what most of Georgias eat. Great video, good luck!
Thank you guys for the lovely video. Georgian hospitality is awesome 👌 and you are just like my old friends who loves life and loves to drink and than loves to talk about all that things ❤ 💕
really fun, cha cha cha....everything looks so tasty....Georgia looks amazingly beautiful and this comes form someone living high in the rocky mountains of western Montana a spectacular place, blizzard rolling in now I came home to get the horses inside, the fields are filled withe tundra swans elk and deer bedding down to shelter
You should have tried Shkmeruli as well. If you are not going to visit Georgia anytime soon, you can also make one at home. There are plenty of tutorials/recipes over the internet. Strongly recommended, if you love fried chicken and garlic sauce. You can substitute milk with sour cream. This dish comes from Racha region, one of the most beautiful regions in Georgia. Shkmeri is a little village there.
@DABBLE AND TRAVEL.....georgians are the most welcoming, nicest people in the world...by the way their real name is not georgians..in my opinion they should be called sakartvelians(or sakartvelos)..the name of the country is sakartvelo...some researchers in ancient history made a discovery that the hurrians(one of the first nation of anatolia) before the hittite empire were speaking a language which is very similar to georgians....can you imagine how ancient is the nation of sakartvelo(georgia)....5000 years old....wow!!

You only eat khinkali by sucking up juice first if it's made from meat, there won't be much juice in other types. Only thing to remember is NEVER use utensils while eating khinkali with meat, I've seen foreigners spilling juice on the plate and then use bread to soak it up, that atrocity still lives in my mind rent-free.
it’s actually funny because you bite bean and potato khinkali to suck the juice out but that rule only goes to khinkali with meat🤣 mushroom, potato and bean khinkali doesn’t have juice at all..

Fascinating food tour. I went to that shopping mall near Liberty Square and had sushi, very good sushi it was too.... and very Georgian.... LOL I had a day off from all that heavy food.
Yeah I enjoyed that bean filled bread as well, saved half of one for the next day from a restaurant meal and it was just as good! You did well there, trying a few things. For me you can't beat Adjaruli Khachapuri 🍞 I've been told there is a decent Georgian restaurant in Islington, good to know. This sort of stuff could really take off in the UK IMHO.
