I have a front end wreck 1LE waiting in a lot that i'm not sure I should restore. These performance figures are kind of dismal from the cars I have in progress (22 COPO Camaro and S204 STI#036) and not sure if the 12k repair tag just to get the front suspension is worth it. I love the look of the Camaro in the trim but don't like he probable resale.
6 speed or A10 ? I have a 2021 2ss 1le A10 and it hits 140mph easily..was wondering what the top speed was..i heard it was about 175 so i guess that was pretty accurate..thanks for the video
I dont understand why people say the 6 speed is more fun to drive..they have no idea how much fun the 10 speed is..when i hit mine it jumps sideways in 2nd and 3rd if the tires are a little cool!! Its just as fun and faster than a 6 speed , i have no regrets at all about going to a auto..had plenty of manuals and i am tired of pedaling!! Lol..lambo's and ferrari's are auto's so if its good enough for them its good enough for me!!
Nice run. Is this the one that Johnny bowmen does?? My friend has a 2018 ZL1 and is interested in doing this.. I was the tow operator at one of these earlier this year.
@@timhenderson8615 I have a 2019 ss 1le..with 2000 miles..I will never buy anything else..and I owned a GT500..great car but I just really love the ss..6spd is fun!! Still on the original track tires..!!
@@timhenderson8615 i had an ls3 fifth gen manual and a 15 gtpp mustang before my 22 2SS1LE manual. My only complaint is the long gears. It takes time to rev it up. I wished the gears were little shorter. A 3:91 or maybe a 4:10 would have been nice.

5th gear is very steep…. It matched GM’s test results. This was on the stock motor prior to being modified.

Yep stock and actually in light rain. That is why I short shifted 1st, it was just spinning the tires, even in wet mode.

1LE is a track car, not straight line, which this event does not highlight the real capabilities.

Yes, sorry just saw your note. It was a bit expensive comparied to when I run at Sebring, etc, but highly recommend doing it once.
Also, the SS1LE is 200lbs lighter than a non 1le..not to mention the Recaro buckets are much nicer than 1ss or 2ss..
It most certainly is not 200 lbs less. They are virtually the same weight.

It really hits a wall of air, just watch how fast it slows just taking my foot ff the gas. 5th gear is not optimal either
