I don't comprehend the love language concept because we all enjoy the nice things that people believe are special to them. I adore the thought of being with someone who will help me become the best version of myself, and I wish to do the same for him. And you're right: I look for common interests and characteristics that I love that are my shortcomings or struggles, and I wish I had them. Oh, mina ngiyazikhulumela nje qha uma ngikhululekile into engiyaziyo. 😂
uBhuti would be an amazing therapist. His high level of understanding of human emotions and how someone's current actions (and love languages) relate to their past and how they grew up is an intuitive trait that not many men have. Big ups to him!
My previous felt entitled to gifts and started demanding I give her something and justified it in that it's her love language.. That time I just saw her as a taker.. nothing concrete for me to say she is fulfilling to have the love languages chat
Since when is "Receiving gifts" a love language, baby? That’s like saying, “Relationships are all about give and take... he gives me money, and I take it.” Sho' nuff, if all she’s doing is takin’ and never givin’, that ain’t love. No, sugar, love is about puttin’ your trust in someone, layin’ your emotions on the line, and knowin’ they won’t stomp all over 'em with disco boots. Now let me tell you somethin’ real smooth. People act right when they dig you for real. I knew this one fly girl who didn’t think twice 'bout struttin’ through the streets late at night for her man. She wasn’t sweatin' no muggers, no shady characters, not even the boogeyman himself. Homegirl didn’t wanna burn her man’s gas to pick her up for that midnight rendezvous. But check this out: one day, she hits me up needin’ a lift. Yeah, she wanted me to slide over and scoop her up… in broad daylight, no less! I said, “Hold up, baby girl. You mean to tell me, for your dude, you’ll moonwalk through the hood at night with danger lurkin’ ‘round every corner, but when you need my help, you playin’ like you crippled in the daylight hours? Nah, sister, that ain’t groovy.” I wasn’t havin’ it. Ain’t it wild, though? She’d bend over backward for her man, but when it came to the rest of us, she didn’t give two funky beats. People keep it tight for the ones they’re vibin’ with. As for the rest? They couldn’t care less if the world thinks they’re drunks, gamblers, or folks just trying to keep their hustle straight. Yo, check this out: a fine sister once told me she only rolls with cats who dig her more than she digs them. I said, “Hold up, sugar-ain’t no monopoly on that game. Men be playin’ the same tune, chasin’ the shorty that’s all about them while keepin’ their own cool in check.” You actin’ like only the ladies got that superpower, but trust me, everybody’s workin’ the same hustle. And because of that, baby, the whole dating scene’s lookin’ like a straight-up Mexican standoff. Ain’t nobody makin’ the first move, everybody sittin’ pretty, waitin’ for the other to drop their guard. What’s the result? Nothing but heartache and headaches. Women throwin’ shade at men, and men doin’ the same to women. The whole vibe’s a mess, dig?
With love language it’s about how well do you do those not receive them, if there is no reciprocation or equity or will for it in expression then uyajola.

Fully hear this chat. Never really thought about it in this way ukuthi love languages can be character traits. In line with that I think they are trauma responses aswell. for example, for me quality time followed by physical touch is mine. And I think it traces back to the fact that I haven't been in long term relationships and so I wanna spend so much time with my person because I'm low key tryna catch up from all the joling I haven't been doing.🥲

He's empathic too. Unozwelo to situations, he's objective.
