Thats how it used to be in Oblivion, but Skyrim wanted Dragonshouts so one had to go. This is why I don't want shouts, or another version of shouts (Sword-Singing) to be in the next game. Free up that slot so you can merge Skyrim's Spamcasting combat with Oblivions Spellsword combat.
@@lazilycatharticone4191 Sword-singing should be fine, and shouts could have been too. Bethesda just made the decision to have the "quickcasting" functionality be almost exclusively tied to shouts.
@@lazilycatharticone4191 It wasn't given up in favour of shouts, it was given up in favour of Dual Casting and equipping spells solely as opposed to spellcasters having a weapon out as it was in Oblivion.
@@lazilycatharticone4191Realistically they didn't have to remove oblivions spellcasting system because of shouts, if anything they could've just let you equip a shout and a spell at the same time and make it so that LB casts spells while RB shouts and just changed how sprinting works a bit and it wouldn't have been an issue. Bethesda done goofed being a battle mage/spellsword just isn't the same in Skyrim.

I'm using Smart Cast's "Spell Rings" module to get a similar effect but it looks rather goofy without any animations.

We'll see once released. Assets are owned by their authors, so it's up to them.

I'll also be adding a hotkey to empty the left hand instantly to make it easier to block after casting a left hand spell.

This completely breaks shouts and will just crash with Skyrim.
@@vahloksekun646 Yes, it's in the voice slot. Yes, it works with a bow but we don't have animations for that yet.

So? This isn't a hotkey casting a spell instantly. This is like having a third slot for spells. No jank.
