@@25games I'm an ex stop-motion animator, using various CG applications since the 80's. I'm not a salaried teacher, (although I would like that.. I'm a bit old :) ) I help out at the local FabLab, and answer questions on Blender Stack Exchange, along with my personal projects. BSE's @moonboots recommended one of your videos to a user there, which turned me on to your channel. I think it's actually quite hard to find tutorial videos which concisely address the topic in the title, without wandering off into side-issues, or the entire prerequisite set-up.
Also, you appear to be bothered to learn how to do something yourself, before considering yourself qualified to teach others, and if there are aspects you don't know, you ask! Good plan. :)

working with bezier is a chore.
The handle will not align it with the auto align properly. It means if you try to position the handle freely to a vertex position it will not snap on top of the vertex.
No easy short cuts to manipulate the handles properly like we do in AI.
The features to manipulate handles are too much hidden for easy access. And i know you can press V to open the menu but this is not optimal for work flow, needs fallow AI patterns , is the best workflow to curves there.
Problem is i just want a simple square like shape to be beveled into a bezier curve ....which it seem too much of headache to do so....
blender does not provide clear ways to go about this. All you can find in tutos are create a bezier curve and a bezier circle. WTF?
Can't find way to easy lock the handles angles for a fix 90 degrees so it would be possible to easy draw a perfect square.
Blender does not accept shapes that are not bezier type shape.
It could be done if it would accept like a plane as its tool for beveling. Why not? its is beyond me!

I will produce a video about your issue as soon as possible this week. So you want to have a perfect square with 90° angle? Should be the bevel as well a square with 4 sides or could it be a circle (round shape?)
