Bought mine for $650 from Best Buy a few months ago. It's absolutely worth it at that price. Love it so far, just sucks the RAM isn't upgradeable. The Iris Xe graphics pack way more of a punch than you would think, especially if you've used Intel igpus in the past haha
I just got home from Best Buy where I looked at this model and a number of others. My sales experience there was not the best, so I didn't buy, but what convinced me was that I have cataracts that won't be ready for surgery for another year or two. But my eyesight simply isn't good, and the screen on this one was sharp and bright compared to nearly all the others I saw. I'm used to buying the smallest, lightest laptop that meets my needs, but this time I was looking for a bigger, brighter display, and this was the best I saw in a laptop.
You're right... why are we buried in models. You have distinctive categories. Tablet, 2-1, laptop, business, business workstation... each category has ten different configurations
Some manufacturers think that options = success but I think it stands to cloud their supply chains and confuse customers. If Lenovo, Dell ever wonders why Apple skyrocketed into a multi trillion dollar company, one standing reason is navigating their product lineup tends to be much simpler.
I found the lenovo yoga 7i 11th gen for a little under 1000 dollars which I find to be a great deal The 12th gen is however at 1300 dollars which is expensive for me Is the 11th gen processor still a good choice?
I am looking into this laptop and wanted your opinion on the screen being glossy. Is it usable outdoors or in a well lit room or next to a window where there is ample sunlight coming in? That is the only thing holding me back from going ahead with this. I know it goes upto 500 nits which is pretty bright but lots of reflections is something I am concerned about. Thank you.
The brightness will help tremendously. Given that I dont think you'll have much issues with it being glossy in front of a window or anything as long as you have the brightness cranked up.
@@ComputerStuff thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it. The only thing holding me back, is the battery life and that it is not 360 degrees convertible but only has a touch screen.
Good review. I'd say $1100 (for the 16gb/HDR model) would be justified if Lenovo adds a QHD screen option on the next gen model. 140 PPI makes text look all fuzzy in my eyes.
When we recorded this video I was thankful just to get FHD out of Lenovo, but I agree that more manufacturers should be pushing QHD with new products. FHD is starting to look outdated!
