“Shake It Off” was from the 1989 album which is before the Kim & Kanye phone call. The album and song that addressed that specific character assassination (or at least they tried to character assassinate her) is 2017’s “Reputation” and lead single “Look What You Made Me Do”
Yep. Reputation ,Folklore & Evermore are favorites. All create in very tumultuous times for her. Folklore & Evermore helped so many during the Pandemic.
Reputation is an incredible anthem to reclaim your life narrative,power.
She is a great example for the girls of today. Such a hard working woman. She deserves the best in life.
The blockbuster tours of Taylor and Beyonce are prime examples of Girl Power.. Growing up with such mentors, lots of ladies who boosted the economy of host cities, have their own fu money.
Taylor was signed with Big Machine at 15/16, I believe the money was to pay her band members. Kenny did not jump-start her career. Taylor is always the primary writer, the first 2 albums they had her work with Liz Rose and some others. People started saying she wasn't writing any of the songs, so she wrote Speak Now, by herself, no other writers. Taylor's work ethic and her dedication to her career and being signed by Big Machine, they were the ones who were lining up people she could open for.

Thank you for reacting to Taylor's interview. It certainly was a very well done interview. She had not given an interview in 4 years. Glad that she felt that could trust that interviewer. The media was horrible to Taylor in 2016. They spread the lie that Taylor was lying when she said that she did not hear nor approve that part of Kanye's lyric "I made that bitch famous". Kim Kardarshian edited the real conversation to make it seem that Taylor had lied. In 2020 the full recording was leaked and it proved that Taylor had told the truth all along. It was heartbreaking to see so many people turn on Taylor. Some of us took our "Long Live" promise seriously which was to stand by her forever. lol.

Shake It Off came out on the 1989 album, not Reputation. She also moved to another country for a year after the Kanye/Kim crap. That's the incentive of Reputation, I believe.
