I had something Ike this, it was a Mattel 12 inch Superman, Zod and Lex, from about 7-8 years ago on Amazon Surprisingly had a few of the Fortress crystals, as well as cloth clothes, and accessories like Zod's rifle and Lex's hair pieces.
I recommend most collectors getting that
You are mistaken about the relationship between Kenner's Superpowers, and the later Toybiz superhero figures. Toybiz bought Kenner's molds and retooled them 5 years later.
There needs to be more characters from the original Superman films offered by the likes of neca and sideshow there’s plenty to work with honestly

Oliver, the two pieces of Kryptonite are the necklace version that Miss Teschmacher throws into the sewer, and the other is actually the fake Kryptonite that Gus Gorman creates in Superman III...you can tell that it is the Superman III version by the shape of it.
Attention to detail in this video - the fortress of solitude music is playing while Oliver is talking about the crystal base!

Yes! I'm glad you were able to get one, man. I have mine in a flying pose, on the tin it came in. It looks fantastic. I preordered mine I believe in June, of last year. Seeing as how it was a Mezco Exclusive, and, that it was going to sell out within a day of it being announced, I didn't hesitate on getting it. Fast forward to late February of this year, it shows up at my house at least an hour before I leave work. My sister had it up on my bed, all ready for me to open it up, and get him into all sorts of poses. I also had the Superman March playing on my phone while playing with him, too! Great review, man. And Godspeed!

I think the best thing about this figure is the accessories. That base looks great and the tin is cool too. A sewn suit in this scale looks a bit weird. I think it definitely is an improvement over the prototype pics but still look awkward. 120 quid is a lot for what you get. That''s more than I paid for the big Neca figure or the Hot Toys version. I would like to get hold of the base and see how the small Neca version looks with it. That is a great figure. The QC issues they had early on were fixed. My figure fell to bits but the replacement they sent to me has been fine.

I had (still have) the Kenner Superman which the ToyBiz was based on. I also had that. The original is better than the ToyBiz
I would've liked that figure as a kid too. Interesting that it comes in a trash can though. The fortress looks awesome lit up. Be cool if McFarlane Toys could do some Reeve figures even the evil superman, prices are good and you get some nice detail with them.
Lois Lane action figure would be awesome! You are a big fan of Superman, so I would like to know if you have watched the tv series Smallville, about a young Clark Kent.

I always wanted a Christopher Reeve figure as a kid mego toy biz had them loved them, i own hot toys which is great and I even made a fortress for it but don't like the suit and small cape stretched S , necca is best and still my favourite that 6 inch figure I just need more, you got the Mattel one sad didn't see them here as I like them
That is a great fortress and accesories I would put my necca on it in just not keen on the suit looks thick and dark superman 3 boots but mostly it's expensive nice tin tho
