- Well we did it. Silly us added another project to our home remodel, but we were assured it would not take long. I will show you what we added as well as the where we are with the Tavern remodel, a fun decor idea with lights in the Butler's pantry, and the completed fireplace!

The bricks you chose to surround the fireplace are gorgeous. I'm so glad you didn't paint those beautiful bricks. You're doing such a innovative job in the kitchen, pantry, tavern and dining room. When you first said a brick surround for the fireplace and then I saw the red brick, I wasn’t sure WHAT I thought 😮. As has always been the case Linda, your educated vision, your instincts prove to be SPOT ON! I DO love it, with the cozy window seats…it is a space that offers a warm welcome 😊. Everything is so lovely..The fireplace, windows, and bench seating turned out so well. Your new kitchen and pantry did too. The Tavern is coming together so nicely. You have added so much value to your home. The added function, purpose, and organization..to these spaces really improves the home flow and vipe..

I can just imagine your delight every time you look at that beautiful fireplace, and you think of resting on one of the window seats and Willow on the other. Seeing the daffodils peeking their heads above ground brings home that another season is coming-a season of amazing beauty! Well, I have my total reverse shoulder replacement on Tuesday, the 28th in Las Vegas. The surgeon said my rotator cuff was irreparable, so this was the only option to get rid of the pain and get back function.
Your fireplace looks beautiful! I just love it when a project turns out just how you planned it. I drew out a plan for the patio around our pool and the finished product was just what I pictured. That doesn’t happen very often and it’s so satisfying!

Your fireplace turned out beautifully. Watching you brought back memories. We too used the Oldmill. Brick veneers on our fireplace and after 20 years still love everything about them. I too had to sort out which ones would make the cut. LOL

Perfect scale for that mantel and fire place. I struggle with scale and proportion. I always need to go bigger than I think I do. I am great and 2 dimensional design but once things are 3D in the real world I struggle. You seem to get it right every time.

Linda everything is coming along so beautifully!! Its been so enjoyable to watch the process and its given me some good ideas. The fireplace mantel is so nice. It reminded me when 26 years ago we moved into our home and my husband built our mantel from Home Depot wood and a photo I had torn out of a magazine of a colonial fireplace! I still love it. 😊

I have a love/hate relationship with honeysuckle it takes over, and grows so fast, I love the smell. Your poor lilacs will love you this spring. Now let’s talk about the butler’s pantry!
