We gutted, took down walls, and completely remodeled our house 19 years ago. It was so exciting. I miss the trips to Lowe's and Home Depot. Living vicariously through you.
Linda, nothing is more exciting than a home project. We always picked one room and put up rented tables.. then we put all our decorating pieces etc. on the tables and covered them with sheets… it saved so much time and certainly made the rooms look neater.. I’m very happy for you and your husband Ben. It appears that you’re both hard workers and are making an amazing home for yourselves. If I’m honest your videos are ones I look forward too.
I have watched everyone of your videos, and you channel is my favourite. You invite your audience into your home and life in a very relaxing way. I really enjoy when you decorate inside and out. I get some get ideas from you. Look forward to many more, especially your kitchen reno and the new windows.
Linda you truly are a perfectionist…. Your patience and hard work pays off. It’s all going to be grand.
Your backyard is blanketed with an amazing amount of beautiful fall color; the ferns are glorious!! Enjoying the remodel too, thanks for sharing!
Your glass-framed pictures look beautiful on that wall, with the frames mimicking the glass decanters.
Oh my goodness Sugar Wood is SO BEAUTIFUL CLOTHED IN FALL COLORS!
love your wallpaper choices, even though the one was a booger to hang. your house is beautiful and will be amazing when its all done. Just breathe! and keep the videos coming!
Looking forward to your progress Linda. I’m always excited when I see one of your videos, I would love to see at least one a week what do you think?😊❤
I know the Houndstooth was being a stinker but it is just beautiful, I love it!! You have more patience than I! LOL
Oh my goodness Linda, those mirror framed pictures are sooo beautiful! 😍 Loving the wallpaper! The progress is so exciting.
You have the patience of Job! Anytime I have had the smallest of projects going on either inside or outside my home, I am a nervous Nellie! But am really enjoying seeing your major renovation as it proceeds ..... please continue keeping us in the loop. So excited for you!
Love that wall paper Linda inside the cabinet ! Actually love the other one to !
Good Morning Linda! Just had to watch your video again. Sometimes while I watch, you tube, I get interrupted by life and forget to push the pause button and then only see beginning and end. But that's why I like you tube, you can come back and watch again and pause and go back etc. Anyway, so excited about all that is going on. Look forward to the new adventures of Sugarwood!
❤from GA. We are kindred spirits, Ga is also one of the thirteen Colonies. 😀
Love the plaid wallpaper, perfect with Tally Ho! ❤❤❤❤
Brings back nightmares, I mean memories of when I gut my house and woke up every morning to chaos! Looks good now though! It's worth the temporary inconvenience!
Certainly enjoyed your last video. Love your choice of wallpaper for the bar! Also for what it's worth I think your "mirror frame" pics look wonderful with the Talley Ho wallpaper which looks perfect with the Hound's Tooth Check behind the bar. I know it doesn't look the same on my screen as it does in your home but from my perspective, it looks lovely! So interested in all the remodeling going on. Excited to see the coming videos. Don't know where you get all your energy but the results are well worth it!
Morning Linda, Always enjoy your videos and
learn so much!.
Loved seein the ole bones of the house.
Wow! So exciting to see your work starting. It’s going to be gorgeous!
So happy for you Linda..It's gonna be simply beautiful when the remodel is all complete..Bonus to have it all done sooner than expected! May God bless you and keep you in His loving care!
❤❤❤ Thanks for bringing us along!😊
How exciting! Looking forward to seeing the transformation!
I think your second sheet of wallpaper was just upside down. It is beautiful!!
Your kitchen is going to be wonderful, love a fireplace in the kitchen. It will be so fun to cook there. Everything including the tavern room and butler's pantry are going to be done before you know it.
Good luck with the new remodel! I can’t wait to see how it comes out. Yesterday I visited Twin Elm Farms and had a wonderful time wandering through the gorgeous displays. My favorite one had a copy of New England Fine living Magazine and a porcelain coffee pot that I was excited to purchase! Love your new shop! I will be back with a friend 😊
Enjoy the coffee pot and magazine! I noticed the coffee pot missing as soon as I walked into the room! Thank you so. much for your support!
Fun watch, Linda. Enjoying seeing the progression
Hello Linda I’m so excited to see the new temporary windows. Would you please share the title of the music in this video? I really enjoyed it and would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and keep the videos coming.
Linda so exciting my granddaughter and her soon to be husband bought a beautiful 1920’s house in Haddonfield NJ home .They are doing now what your up to I’m thinking and showing your videos. It’s an exciting just watching everything your up to ❤️❤️
Linda, you did a beautiful job😊with wallpaper
linda d. dixon i love the tavern wallpaper. this looks like Groton home..
It’s all so Exciting! Blessings!
old world home sent me to your videos!
Linda, you embrace the 3 Ps: Patience, Persistence and Problem-Solver. I thought the supply chain was moving along faster now. Not so.
Wishing you continued expeditious PROGRESS! Just wanted to mention
one happy choice in my own kitchen
re-do: it was installing below-counter
DRAWERS where ever possible instead
of Doors with Roll-out Shelves behind
them! Seem so much more convenient!
I agree! I did drawers in part of my last kitchen and this will have the same! Even the new bench seats will have double draws. Thank you for sharing your story!
Love the wallpaper color. Good job🌺
Linda....what fun!! And just think what you will have accomplished when
all is done. Those two fruit prints of yours are Williamsburg reproductions
hand colored engravings by the Deitz Press of Williamsburg. They did
fruit of the month and flowers of the month. Thought you would like
to know.
I have anxiety for you but the outcome is so lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Don’t have anxiety! None felt here! We’re good!
You are talented. Enjoy
So exciting to see progress being made! Have missed your long videos!!! It is going to be so gorgeous!!
Linda it is going to look great.. Things happen sometimes but progress is moving.. Can’t wait to see everything.. Thank you as always for sharing your journey on this beautiful home..
Love listening to you explain the renovations. The three doors are lovely may I ask what color of green. Looking forward to watching the process. Lovely home. 😊
You did a fantastic job on the wallpaper.
Can't wait to see the next video..Enjoy the foliage before it's gone...🍁🍁🍁🍂
Love the bar area !
You're a hard worker Linda~ Great job on your home so far - everything is beautiful♥
I do not know how you keep your house so neat even in the middle of major renovation. My house was in such a disarray when my kitchen was renovated. Great choices and a beautiful job on the wallpaper! ❤
I was packing my kitchen and dining room up last Thursday and Friday as well. We are doing a reno and a wall is coming down! Will be an interesting process. Dust will be my nemesis :/ Good luck with your project
I know I would of been crazy with this paper because you start seeing lines everywhere. I am glad you got it up and it looks great.
Very excited for you!
That was fun! Loved seeing the Fall colors (so different from California). And I enjoy having coffee with you vicariously since I no longer drink it (except on occasion), having switched to Earl Grey tea at 55 yrs (different kind of caffeine). 🙂 Looking forward to seeing the progress on your project.
I used to be a tea drinker too and have been thinking of switching back after 40 years of black coffee.
Linda with all you have going on you still make great videos that are so enjoyable! I am a long time subscriber and always look forward to your channel. Thank you for all you share. 😘
Wow, thank you!
Linda, What patience and determination you have wallpapering! The end result is handsome and when you finish the room with the Tally, it will be a beautiful improvement. You and Ben appear to have planned the kitchen remodel so well; I hope the structure cooperates with you. So looking forward to progress on your many projects! Willow will be happy too as things progress!
Linda, I can see with everything going on you can’t record everything going on but very to see your videos pop up. Just remember to take care of your shoulder and have fun remolding looking forward to seeing your next video from your friend in Athens Georgia 🍁🍂🍁
Ooh, exciting things are happening at Sugarwood!! There’s so much going on at the same time, I don’t know how you and Ben keep it straight. Lovely Willow seems so calm-she’s such a regal lady. That would be so wonderful if you could get the barn built, even if it takes some time to finish up the inside. Maybe you could turn the other garage (by the house) into a workshop for yourself and storage for your shop. I can’t wait to see what’s happening next!!
You had the patience of a saint with that wallpaper. It looks great!
Oh my Linda,,,,, I can't wait to see it all finished. The cabinets you painted an wall paper is stunning. Thank you so much for taking us on your journey ❤️
Wow! you did a great job with the wallpaper and bar area. Can't wait to see all the sun shining through those dining room windows, great idea!!
Thank you so much for sharing this process. It is impressive how much you've done is just a year. We can hear the excitement in your voice, and those creative thoughts reappearing.
Linda, I am so excited that your projects are happening earlier for you! I can’t wait to see all the changes as they progress. You are amazing! I love the beautiful colors of the leaves! 🍂🍁
It really looks wonderful, very sophisticated. I am enjoying watching your progress on your "antique" home.
Linda, this is so exciting! I can't believe you have been in the new house a year now. How time flies! Even though the wallpaper install was a real PIA, I love it. Looks absolutely great. I also love the prints with the Tally Ho paper. You are taking a monumental leap forward all at once. So happy for you. Construction is stressful, but exciting all at the same time. Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing your remodeling journey. They and you got a lot done!
Linda, so exciting watching the design come to fruition. Did you put down a barrier in the mule chest to protect your linens from the tannins>?
I can't wait to see the finished remodeling!
You work so hard! Motivating me to do more! :) Looking good.
I’m loving what your doing to your home. Looking forward to more videos.
Wow Linda! Your yard is filled with such beautiful colors! What a joy! Be blessed! You WILL get through this remodel. It will be ok.
I'm always amazed at how well you are able to visualize things. I can too, but not to your extent. A room I think looks lovely, you decide to change, and it goes from lovely to fantastic! Your home is an absolute dream home and it's in the perfect hands to bring it to it's potential splendor. I must admit I'm a little jealous😊
I just love the new fireplace wall. You are so innovative. I would have never thought to do something like that. It makes the room seem much cozier! Looking forward to the completed project. I learn so much from watching your videos and have been trying to apply some of your ideas to my own home. I have actually found some of the pieces that I really love in your home on ebay and at estate sales. However, because we have a 1970's suburban home, they don't look quite as "right" as in Sugarwood. Thank you for encouraging your viewers, keep up the good work, and I hope all goes well with your current projects.
Thank you so much for the beautiful scenes of Autumn! The sound of the leaves crunching underfoot, the Fall colors, remembering brisk mornings, all of it is food for my N.J. soul now in CA! Best wishes for all the renovations! Patricia
Thank you, Linda, for your response to this comment. I would so love to follow your instructions to fine out what you have for me. However, my laptop keyboard will no longer print hyphen and underscore. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness. Best wishes, Patricia
On the windows - you can make a wood frame with anything like 1x1 pine and then put foam insulation tape on the outside. Then use shrinkable window film. Instead of attaching film to window with the double sided tape - use the wood frame to hold it in and the insulation tape will protect your window and will hold the plastic in place. I still hit the plastic with the hairdryer so it is smooth. The wood can also be painted same color as window so it look pretty good. Nothing worse than cold windows - and that part of the State gets plenty of cold winter winds.
Love this video! The fall leaves are gorgeous, the barn will be fantastic and I’m so pleased you decided to keep the bar cabinet. The cabinet looks smashing now with the new paint and paper that goes so well with the silver and crystal. The papers are the perfect combination in your tavern/laundry and that space is going to be gorgeous! I love the combination of casual/rustic and elegant, don’t you? It’s such a lovely balance. :-)
I was sad to see the scenic wallpaper come down in the breakfast area, but I love what you are doing with the end wall in the kitchen. What a knockout that’s going to be and so in keeping with the New England character. So happy to see Queen Bess back in her rightful spot too!
I watched several times just to catch everything and enjoy the music which was so lovely. Great job on all your plans and work and great to see the contractors being so meticulous. Can’t wait to see more! ❤
I was wondering if your choice of wallpaper was a mistake, but it looks very tailored and sophisticated. Great choice and you did a fantastic job doing it. I think the prints in the mirrored frames look great there and I would secure them extra well since elbowing about the bar might dislodge them accidently. Tally-Ho wallpaper against the plaid bar paper is a fantastic complement to that area. I'm so excited about your redo of this area and looking forward to all your plans coming to fruition.
Queen Bess must be excited too. What a spot to call her own.
Your area rug in your tavern is absolutely gorgeous!

It’s slowly coming together. The only thing I hate when redecorating or doing a project in one room, the rest of the house suffers. Hang in there, I’m looking forward to seeing more videos.
Totally! eEery room is a catch all for sure!
So exciting...
My father was a builder, had things like this going on my whole life...Our home was always changing...loved it. ❤
Hi Linda, First.....I am so excited to be able to follow you along on this project!!!! You would think this were my house! Second....you are amazing!! You are so talented and where do you get your energy? I just love watching you accomplish all that you do!!! Thank you for taking us along on this journey. Have a beautiful day and I can't wait for the next update!! Hugs! :)
So exciting to travel with you during this journey! Loving everything your doing. Especially love the tavern room. Loved the look in your old house and glad your using it again here. Thanks for sharing
Each video gets more and more exciting as your projects come together.....loving what you have done so far.....looking forward to the next one.
Linda, I wonder if you can or want to use those pieces of old wood that'll be taken out where the new windows will take the place? I mean on the outer wall.
Maybe they can be used to something...
I'm not a builder as you can notice 😄
Thank you for sharing! Your kitchen will be very pretty. One more question, are you going to leave the floor as is? 😊
I just finished painting a hutch. Just in time for fall decor. Your remodeling is moving right along.
Love it all with the wall paper treatment. Go with it with the wallpaper of "Tally Ho."
Leaves make me homesick. We won't see fall color until later in November. (Zone 8 South Carolina) The tavern room came out beautifully. Your hard work was well worth it. I was a little amused. There was a segment on Ask This Old House (yet another New England program) where they worked on a built in cabinet with shelves in the past week. They removed the shelves and put in boards to fake a flat wall. Then they cut the depth of the shelves to accommodate for the wood. It was interesting to see your approach. Everything is looking wonderful. Best to you Linda!
Willow is taking this all in stride.
Linda the renovation work..is progressing well 👌 👏..So exciting ..I love the Tavern Cabinet .color and the wallpaper has added a touch of sophistication...Looking forward to seeing the added end windows and the fire insert next week ..Fabulous 🤩
Wow, Linda…looking forward to seeing the progress and then the finished project! I think adding the windows and the fireplace will make all the difference in the look and feel of the room. Thanks for the inspiration…I’m always looking for a new project in my own home!🍁🍂🍁
Linda, can't wait to see the end result in the kitchen...keep these videos coming!
Hi Linda, I really admire your hands on approach. Question: In your old house you had an office space. Do you have an office for your work in Sugarwood? I have a 200+ years field stone farmhouse in Pennsylvania. I am trying to figure out how to make a home office. Looking for inspiration. Kindly, from Pennsylvania
So beautiful..Cant wait to see it finished..
Let the fun begin . Always love your projects !
I love your wallpaper! The kitchen is going to be beautiful! ❤️❤️

Wall paper is fun but can be such a challenge, you did a great job it’s all coming together
Love seeing your progress. I went thru a full kitchen remodel in my old farm house a few years ago....believe me, I can relate! Your going to enjoy the end result. I hate wallpapering-you did an excellent job. My husband does the wall papering here!!! I always look forward to you videos.
Looking forward to seeing those windows in place. I am a visual person, you can tell me but I have to see it.Tomorrow it is going to be 46 as a high here in Alabama, Linda. Thankfully, the temps will climb back up at the end of the week.
