- Trying to multitask many projects, including this video on how we decided to put everything in our dining room, to get organized, a tavern update, and the making of birdseed ornaments.
I had to get to wallpapering before the contractors show up tomorrow, so I will link the donut molds in a day or so. In the meantime, here is the link to our online shop that is being added to each week.

I can hardly believe Willow ate the bird ornaments! Poor birdies. 😂 The tavern is looking so good. I think this is the first time I’ve seen the finished wallpaper. That’s been my favorite wallpaper ever since I’ve seen you use it. I hope you all stay warm through those cold, cold days and nights.
When I need Cozy I look for Linda...you are cozy, your vibe is lovely, relaxing and so cozy. Thank you for sharing your sweet natured and very organized personality! You are a real inspiration to me and so many others I'm sure. ❤️
Love to watch Linda! Willow’s shenanigans remind me of our dog, Oliver, who can also be mischievous at times. Made me chuckle! 😂 But I’m so glad you revisited the bird suet craft. It’s been so cold here that I’ve thought of making these for our local birds.
Linda- your speaking about warm lighting made me wonder what kind of light bulbs you use throughout your home. Hubby & I love incandescent lights so before they became illegal to sell in Calif. we bought up a lifetime supply. I can't tell you how many times visitors have commented on how inviting our house is as they point to the lamps and ceiling lighting. Plus we have dimmers on every light switch and lamp. Lighting can make or break a room!
@Lisasandiego1 my husband did the same thing! We’ve got incandescent bulbs coming out our ears as well!
I love everything about the tavern and I can't wait to see the end product. Willow is a hoot, I can't believe she ate birdseed. Gotta love her!
Linda, Thank you for making videos. I know it cant be that easy. You have helped me through a long illness..keeping my mind positively occupied.. I have followed you for 2 years. I have learned so much about interior design and you always inspire me with smart crafts, cooking tips, and decorating ideas..that are easy for me to afford and achieve.. I too am remoldeling..as we are adding a walk-in pantry, a new Mr.'s home office, a new master bathroom, and wider central hallway for better traffic flow... all while living here. It is not easy for me either having mess and supplies everywhere.. Contractor and crews here daiily..

Linda, I can’t wait to see the finished Tavern. I’ve ordered a sample of that wallpaper that I plan to incorporate in a room in our home. Thanks for taking us along with you in your home remodel journey. You mentioned that you’d like to put a tavern sign in the room, Orchard House Primitives creates custom authentic looking tavern signs. I think she’s up in your area. In case, with all you have going, you decide you don’t have the time to create it yourself.
Hang in there girl! I’m OCD when it relates to home and went through four straight months of remodeling last summer, so I can totally understand your frustration. 🤪🤯. It’s really maddening when things are disorganized and out of place. Just keep focused on the final result and how it will all soon be behind you! Thank you for sharing the positive and the negative. Linda, I don't know how you do it and manage to find the time and kindness to feed the birds who are very hungry at this time of the year. I love the idea of bird seed doughnuts. and I will try that. I saw a while ago a video on using toilet paper roll, slather peanut butter on it and roll it in seeds. It makes it easy to hang the rolls on bare branches. I try to find places on the tree where the birds can perch on surrounding branches and peck at the rolls. However, I do have a thief (squirrel) that manages to grab the roll and leave with it. I've seen him do this. I tell him Bon Appetit!. He's hungry also.

Linda, I will be having major surgery this week so I'm not feeling real great, physically or mentally. Today I looked over RUclips to see if any of my usual channels interested me. Yours was the only one that did. And just like your last video it took my worry away for awhile. I love your channel, your videos and content. You feel like a friend and I want to thank you so much for bringing all your followers in to your home and life. I might be away for a bit but I'll catch up with you soon.

Everything is really looking so nice! I love all your choices . I am excited because we are renovating our kitchen and they are coming to measure the countertops tomorrow! I will have to make the suet donuts for the birds!
I love how you did the bird food! My squirrels don’t like cayenne pepper. Willow might not either!
Almost 5 years ago I bought a Shark Rocket Pro at Sam’s Club. It was cheap and well worth it! The suction is incredible and it’s still going strong. Even if it has lasted 2 years it would have been worth it!
My friends who do professional cleaning always use Shark products.

I clean houses and find my rainbow vacuum the best at cleaning. Love it on rugs. The fine dust on wood floors is picked up the best. I use my clients' vacuums at their house but haven't found that they do as well as the Rainbow. Many clients will buy a Rainbow after seeing it work. Not the new, mind you at $3,500. It is a cannister vacuum. I find them on Marketplace and then get refurbished. Rainbow doesn't have a bag. It traps the dust and debris in water-fiiled basin. Empty on compost pile. Must be open between uses. Can use to damp mop or small wet vac emergencies. Can buy upholstery and carpet cleaning attachments. Essential oils in where make the house smell clean!

Would love to hear you rant about the vacuum. I still rant about a Dyson vac I had. Had to take it apart at least once a month to clean it. Cleaned it more in a year than I had cleaned all my other vacuums over 45 years. It went to Goodwill.

Yes, please share your experience with that vacuum. Product reviews are helpful when shopping around. I'm looking for a smaller vacuum but want one that it easy-to-use, easy to empty and on the quiet side. Love your style!

I have a one year old dog who enjoys bird seed, too! I have caught him several times with his head in the bag of seed when I open it. I have never known a dog of mine to eat birdseed before! Lol
Awesome video! Everything is perfect! Suggestion: Since your floor register is in a doorway can u install a wooden recessed register. I believe you have mentioned this before in another application. I have them and love how seamless it becomes.

Also get a dyson. I am super picky about everything also, this is the only vacuum that delivers on its promises. Great customer service also.

I love the birdseed recipe. I had loop carpet once and my doggies nail would get caught in it and I would have to snip the thread and then it would cause a run. But my carpet was Berber. Would never have it again. Thankfully we have all hardwood now.

My incandescent stock is running out and I feel I need a PhD to figure out the light bulb section these days. I only want bulbs with that warm glow as close to incandescent as possible. Everyone is entitled to a rant every once in awhile,eh? Like the idea of using a donut mold to make the seed ornaments, I have always used a Bundt pan to make large size wreaths. Happy to see all the progress.

I would like to see your rant about that vacuum. I purchased that "style" vacuum thinking it would make my life easier being cordless and used for quick pickups but it was so top heavy I hated it. There was no way to prop it up without it falling over. Returned it and stuck with my ole diehard Electrolux uprights. I have actually have two, one for each floor of the house which is a great convenience.

Yes, rant about the vacuum because before your offer to make a video on it, I was going to question how you keep the carpets clean with a dog. My 100% wool carpet vacuums better than my synthetics. My decades old Miele needs to be replaced, and my upright plastic cannister that boasts "for pets" turned out to be a cheap piece of......hate repetitive emptying the cannister too.

You've manage to make perfect sense and beauty out of what was chaos. It was always a beautiful place but now the home flows beautifully.

So glad to see your vulnerability finally 😁. I had an overhaul of my house by numerous workmen back in 2007, new flooring, painting, replacement of kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, all furniture reupholstering etc. Because everything was packed in boxes and piled to the ceiling in all rooms to be moved from room to room as it progressed, it was like I was walking through a cave to get to each place. The only open space was the bedroom where I had to sleep and the room done last. This went on for 5 months. I thought I would go crazy and definitely pledged never again. So to finally hear you say it was getting to you, I feel vindicated 😁 Fortunately, I was working long hours so just dealt with it at night - can't imagine being there all day with it!!! You are handling it extremely well!!

I'm with you on the vacuum. I prefer a canister vac and not those upright or battery powered thingies.
I had a very expensive name brand canister vac. Had to give it up because when your get older it’s very hard to drag around.

Can't or I would have. :-). There is no wall space showing to do so. That is all covered by cabinets. The only area will be the houndstooth wallpaper inside the lower back of the counter top if I like the look.

About your washer dryer set up …
I have yet to find ANY washer , even front loading , that I don’t manage to have go off balance due to me throwing something in that gets heavy when wet ( thick terry towels /cotton blanket / cotton throw rugs / jeans )…. So I can’t picture glass wear or bottles over that equipment.

You are so nice to help out the birds. The snow is beautiful. Several thoughts in laundry situation; would laying some cork under the washer/dryer insulate and stabilize? And, I know it is so convenient to use these but pods for washers and dishwashers will eventually gunk up the mechanics. Repairmen advise against them. Liquid soaps are better. Fabric softeners do the same to washers. Just a heads up. Can’t wait to see your countertops.
My dishwasher repair guy told me the same thing. No pods lessens the life of your appliances.
Is that the Dyson vacuum? I have two, one for the top two floors and one for the bottom two. I really like them.
I'm interested in you setting up a camera in an "active" room in the house 👻 and just let it record for some time, and see if it picks anything up. Then, make a video in faster speed to show us what came from it! ☺️👍 Also, you could start a "paranormal/kindred spirits" playlist, for those of us who are interested in that stuff. ♥️

Kindred spirits are drawn to sources of electricity. We seem to have more activity in these locations at our historical house in town. The areas that have been restored to historical accuracy also seem to have more activity.
I’d like to hear about the vacuum and if you find a better one. Also, do you steam clean your rugs or have another method? So fun to see how everything is coming together!

Hi from Florida (former Mainer)! It's going to be so pretty & functional. It's so nice to see traditional design, so much of what we see these days is Boho, Scandi or Modern. How about a long piece in the Tavern that includes a small fireplace insert? Would be nice for warmth whilst relaxing in your chairs! Just a thought!
That’s going to be the best laundry cabinet don’t worry about straightening up it won’t last long I was doing the same thing when my kitchen was being done I did hear the weather forecast and thought about you here in NJ it’s cold but no snow yet I was hoping for a little 😊
