What a great video that shows how stuff is done in real life by real people . About to take my engine off my boat tomorrow and this video was exactly what I was looking for
here i am 8 years later ranomly.. nice setup...i dont need to remove my ouboard but i was wondering if a engine puller would work answered my question...
PorkChop659 - Thanks man! Yeah, I have one of my guys coming to help with the dirty work this weekend. Hoping to have the floor pulled up by Sunday. We shall see.
Captain House I have never tried this but I have heard if you put baby powder on first the fiberglass dust is not so bad. It really has never bothered me except when it gets between my fingers and I can feel a little piece - AUGH I can feel it now!!! Drives me crazy! I would like to hear from Andy as to what he does, or by now it is just in his blood so no worries!
Just spent a arm and a leg having my boat repowed to decide I want a jackplate & a trans one saver bracket so I get to undo the professionals work and hopefully not destroy my $10k motor in the process! U got more guts then me, I don’t let the dog into the yard without my boots (phillys not that safe:)
Amazing how, in a span of about two decades, outboard motors went from simple, light, portable contraptions of 25 to 30 hp, tops, that could be carried by one man, to these 200+ HP monsters that are semi-permanently bolted to a single boat.
@@HouseMadeUS true that. I never work without my safety sunglasses, safety crocks. I had to switch to crocks because they lasted longer then the safety flip flops.
I like your motor stand design, I need to pull off my Evinrude 225 this weekend it weights 500lb. Do you have the blueprints to build it and care to share it?
I bought a 1992 23ft. proline, dont think i will need to go the extreme as you but yamaha 200 hp is giving me some trouble so i may , pull it.any way your works are helpfull.
Hi . Great video. Just wondering how you hooked up the motor to start on a stand. The area i have a problem with is the electrical. I have a 150 hp. black max on a stand . Also i have the controls with a key. I don't have any battery cables, and not sure where they go on the engine . One positive goes to the coil ,right ?There is another plug coming from the motor ,not sure about that one lol. Just need to know how i can start it thats really all in need to do . Thank you for any help you can give me ............a friend from Canada.
Hey was watching your video I just bought a pro line boat and I was just wondering what is that switch you have for the prime ? Cause I'm thinking my boat has that switch because for some reason I can't keep it from staying on
why not just get the eye bolt that goes in the flywheel? You probably spent more on oddball parts and chain---but you got it done. Also, I noticed everything is a "SHE"-- the motor, the stand, the boat, the hoist.
Is it a 2-stroke or 4? I would look at the weight and see how that matches up with the weight limit for your boat. 115 is definitely at the top end for a 16.5 boat. That being said, they run fast as hell with that many HP. I have first hand experience with a 17ft Aquasport with a Johnson 115. Nice combo.
Motor stand is brilliant!
Loved when the daughter / wife came out to the the porch, just to make sure the boys do not mess up.
Very true! This was a fun build for sure. :)

Congrats on this huge step in the process, now get going on that hull!!
Josh Greenwell - Thanks man!! This weekend Daniel and I are gonna hit it hard.
Great job guys! Love the progress. You're lucky you got 1 of those good father in laws :)
The best things in life are chocolate chip cookies & loud 2 stroke outboards.
Great video. Just got twin 150 johnsons that I have to pick up tomorrow. Have to figure out how to put them into my trailer. Gave me some good ideas.
Pro job right here, looking for a new engine for my boat now
Nice job on the work cart!
Thank you!

Awesome. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Awesome job Capt'! The motor seemed to run great and that is always a good thing.
Now, now the dirty work begins...😣

PorkChop659 - I actually have heard this. I bought Tyvek suits so we can minimize exposure. Probably gonna do a Breaking Bad style photo later. HAHA!

Awsome job Dad & Son you might want to post this for fathers day
I love this!!! Thank you for your contribution to humanity!!! 💪
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I got the same spooky aluminum plate on mine. Drilled a hole for a fish finder. Wood wet 🫣🤬
Great vid! Link to plans for the motor stand?
💯% correct on Florida weather!
Come to think of it you taught me how to make that stand in your boxers 6 months ago lol
+Nick Ward - Hey man, I do my best work in my undies! Lol
Two words: socket wrench! Ha ha ha... Thanks for showing us this. 😊😊😊
+Guy H. - Yeah looking back that would have made more sense. Something I have very little of these days! Lol. 😂
Great looking engine stand!! Nice job!

Steel toed CROCS are the way to go’

Nice I'm doing this with my dad in cocoa tomorrow
+Matthew Tafoya - Awesome! Good luck!
You forgot to wear your safety baseball cap. My cap has saved my head a few times. 🙂
I did have my safety tank top on though! Haha! 😅
@@HouseMadeUS true that. I never work without my safety sunglasses, safety crocks. I had to switch to crocks because they lasted longer then the safety flip flops.
What about your steel toed flips?? 😂
@@HouseMadeUS lol they broke. Moved to steel toed crocks lol
Why there's water coming out when the engine start running?
Taylor rental? Highlands county, Florida?
awsome work here!!! love your boat stand, too. I want to build one up like yours. I wonder what's length did you cut for the bottom piece? TIA
I like your motor stand design, I need to pull off my Evinrude 225 this weekend it weights 500lb. Do you have the blueprints to build it and care to share it?
Nice work I am looking for the video to build a stand like you built I hav a 200hp opti max any help would be great Thanks
I built your stand and it was great! Thank you! My question is, how did you rig the fuel tank and the rest of the equipment to start the engine?
That's a lot of trouble just should have put one strap belt underneath and around with the top on
I bought a 1992 23ft. proline, dont think i will need to go the extreme as you but yamaha 200 hp is giving me some trouble so i may , pull it.any way your works are helpfull.
Thanks for making this, really helped with my project!
nice job man. that mount you build it awesome. where in Florida are you guys?
Cool but what did you attach your chain to on motor?.??
John H - There are mounts that are designed for this purpose on the engine. Easy cheesy 🔥🤙🏻🔥
How is the motor stand holding up and did you ever successfully launch it? Haha Building a stand now. Won't be as nice as yours tho.
Never did launch the boat. I got cancer shortly after making this series. I’m fine now but it threw a whole big wrench in my life.
@@HouseMadeUS glad to hear you beat it my son beat it also. I know how it changes your life as a whole. Mine works only holding 50hp honda on it.
@@HouseMadeUStruly sorry to hear that

Tom Hall should have a starter relay with like a 1/2" nut on it that where the hot red wire goes black is ground anywhere on block is good
Where did you go to rent that????
Tool rental place.
Hey was watching your video I just bought a pro line boat and I was just wondering what is that switch you have for the prime ? Cause I'm thinking my boat has that switch because for some reason I can't keep it from staying on
+Julian Alonso - it's a switch to an external fuel pump actually. It pressurizes the fuel lines and keeps fuel flowing. Good luck. :)
Mercs have a threaded place on the flywheel for a lift ring. So your doesn't ?.. Strange
Proper safety equipment hilarious Good Times
How long did it take? From start to finish
Couple of hours. Not bad.
Awesome job!
very nice job..thanks
+TheVirginiaStew - Thanks Man!
All good, very good, except your battery next to gas tank, dangerous, a spark, boom, be careful.
make motor lift ring for flywheei

If you have an Evinrude without a lift bracket check out my video on how to remove your motor!
Spam, and NO LINK. Lol
what size is your boat?
Its 19ft without the motor.
Ohh ok I have a 16.5 ft baymaster and could only find a 115 motor, do you think I would have any weight problems cuz of the motor?
Is it a 2-stroke or 4? I would look at the weight and see how that matches up with the weight limit for your boat. 115 is definitely at the top end for a 16.5 boat. +Captain House oh ok thanks man
+Captain House it's a 2 stroke
safety first.....or not?!!!!
Your stand is deluxe. Your engine hoisting technique is not quite as fabulous. No worries, y'all got it done without dumping the thing.
Сколько телодвижений обалдеть.
❤️💯👏
please cut the music it is to loud, I have to keep turning my sound up and down, thanks for all your videos !!!
None
When will people learn how to edit the sound on their video? Background music is about 10 times louder than voices!!!
