I think the criticism about AI party members may be a little harsh. The game encourages you to keep switching between party members, in the same way in a regular turn based game where characters don’t do anything until the player selects their command. Hey at least here they sometimes perfect block :-)
sure and i agree, but for them to use to any materia or the 4 equipped weapon abilities being locked behind a materia equipped is kinda stupid. im not against switching to make sure every character is doing something, but at the same you cant play as all 3 characters at the same time, so having them have the ability BUILT IN to use what you have equipped is far superior to the auto materias.
@@DCConnah I somewhat agree as I wish they’d build up ATB a little quicker than they do. However if my non controlled characters had ATB and they used it for something not relevant to my tactic, then that would open up the possibility of even more frustrating situations. Imagine you’re low on health and your healer uses an attacking command at the wrong time and that leads to a game over. I suspect the devs decided that keeping things in the hands of the player was the safest bet
@@01234Arsenal1 absolutely, but in my experience the AI is there already, putting auto cast on things like cure, the character will only heal if youre at like 25% or lower, its just a balancing act really, it probably wont change for part 3 anyway as its the final game

I agree with almost everything but comparing the side quests of this game to Baldurs Gate is wild, and saying that you can't judge the story because it hasn't finished yet doesn't make sense because if the company decided to cut the story into three parts then I'm going to judge each part , not only that, one thing that really irritates me in these two parts is the amount of groans and grunts from the characters and I don't see anyone commenting on it. Anyway, good video, keep it up.
im more so comparing the quality of side quests, they all have their own animations, voice acting etc and yeah, i dont expect people to really agree with me thinking its unfair to review the games story individually, but i would rather judge the story when all 3 are out instead of individually
Have to disagree about the story in Rebirth. I enjoyed Remake for the most part except for the Whisper nonsense and killing fate nonsense and the NONSENSE is what they decided to double down on in Rebirth and that's the reason why Rebirth is just weaker overall for me in terms of story.
