you can feel the intensity from flag to flag, everything is so perfect, so exciting that even you start driving during those onboard views. Those were the best days, I miss CART.

1:47 I've always wondered, if that was really the case as to why they changed that portion of the circuit, why didn't they change it back to the old section when they completed the construction? Can somebody please explain that to me?

Probably couldn't get the space back, but honestly it's a better course. Then again, the best course was the old one through '98 when turn 1 was a right hander.

Auto Racing: The only sport in the world where EVERY SINGLE professional series claims that they have the best participants in the world. Don't hear that in any other sport, eh, don't you? -_-

I'm sorry, but PT stole this race. If only de Ferran was on the same fuel strategy as Team Kool Green, he would had won this race. A *RARE* mistake by the masters of fuel strategy in IndyCar racing, Team Penske.
Gil de Ferran at Long Beach was the most unluckiest at an non-IMS IndyCar track I have ever seen. Consider that from 1996-2000, de Ferran captured the pole three times and led the most laps in a single race three times and did not win one race during that time period. I bet you, even though he'll never say it publicly, if he had the chance, he would trade his two IndyCar titles, 12 wins, and his 2003 Indy 500 "win", (B/C, let's face it, The Captain had an out-of-body experience and played team orders just so de Ferran could win the race in his final IndyCar season, therefore denying Helio his third straight Indy 500) for one Long Beach win. #JustSayin

Yup, and he also had the track record from the old layout here that will never be broken

Stole the race? Come on man, strategy is also part of racing

I don't think any driver would give a championship for a win in a race in the same series, except perhaps the Indianapolis 500 or the LeMans 24 hours.
