  • I service my 2013 VW T5.1 Campervan 2.0 Litre TDI. This video is relevant to most VW 2.0 litre TDI engines. Video shows jacking and supporting on axle stands, draining the oil, replacing the pollen filter, replacing the engine air filter, replacing the oil filter, replacing the diesel filter, adding the new engine oil, priming the diesel filter and resetting the service counter. I would recommend using this video in conjunction with a Haynes manual relevant to your vehicle.
I purchased my service kit from shop.fosautoparts.co.uk/. I found them to be the best for quality and price that I could find online. The kit arrived on time and well packed. This is a personal recommendation and I will not receive anything for any purchases made from the link above.
I've listed some links to some useful items related to this video below. If you purchase anything from these links the channel will get a small commission, but you will not pay any more. Thanks in advance, as this will help improve the channel.

I just replaced the fuel filter on my T5. Here's what happened when I tried to 'prime' it:
    1. I turned to key to ON, went to the engine and I could hear a tick tick tick coming from the fuel filter. When I turned the key off the sound disappeared. I did this 3 times.
    2. I then turned the key to ON for 30 seconds, then START and the engine fired up, no problem. Then after about 1 minute the engine cut out.
    3. I turned the key ON for 30 seconds, then START and the engine cranked for 10 seconds without starting, then the engine fired up. I left it to idle for 5 minutes and no problem so I turned it off.
I believe what happened was the engine cut out when the air bubble reached the engine. Then when I tried to start it a second time it took 10 seconds for the fuel filter to fill up, clear the air bubble, so the engine could start. I actually don't think turning the key to ON, put any fuel in the fuel filter.
