- The expression 아직 멀었어요 (from 아직 멀었다) is used to say that a situation or event in the future is still a long way off. In this video you’ll learn how it’s used in the past tense to refer to the future, and the difference between saying 멀었다 in the past tense versus 멀다 in the present tense or future tense.

(does this means I am assuming one day in the future I will definitely be as good as Billy? or only that, if I wanted to get to his level, it would take a long time?)
good question about the different nuances.
the second one. it just means that if you’re intending to get better, it would take a long way to go. you’re not assuming anything here, you’re just making an if-statement.
Some koreans use that expressioin as humble when someone praise
How is my example sentence:
저 2년 전부터 한국어를 공부해 왔는데 아직 멀었어요 (I have been learning Korean since my two years ago but I still have a long way to go”

Thanks for the new expression. I usually say 배울게 아직 많아요, which I guess has the same nuance?
That would be a bit different, and mean just "There are still many things to (that I will) learn."
How do you manage to write from right to left and it still looks perfect from our side ??

Does anyone know the answer? I understand that to buy is 사다 and i thought in past tens it would be 샀 아요 (as i thought to make it past tense the vowel needs to be the same 아) as in 채을샀 아요i bought a book. but im not sure if it should be 채을 샀 어요
Yes, "to buy" is 사다 and becomes 샀어요 in the 요-form past tense.

The concept is the same.
Sorry if this is a silly question, but would this be considered future perfect tense?
It's best not to compare Korean with English if you can. None of the tenses will match up in every situation.
