I just watched this film again last night. So, so good, perhaps my all-time favorite. I've even visited the film locations in California (the Robinsons' house, the church, etc.).

Anne Bancroft was beyond great in this movie. Iconic is the word for her as well for the movie. Heart breaking at 1.32. That one expression showed how lonely,hurt and vulnerable she was. PS awesome work. I really enjoyed the video.

+Jujnjie Feb Trangia Yes it was in the 60's This version was used for the Movie "The Graduate" Its better than the 45's & LP's version like greatest hits albums for quality sound because they mixed it in studio to get the best sound in the movie theaters of the time! Some of the songs have background noise of the movie still in them, because it was marketed as a movie sound track album. I wish I had the old Stereo I had 35 years ago to play it on now. But the cool thing is a remake by Disturbed recently came out. Wow, He gave it a new meaning with his passionate interpretation.

I like this movie, but sometimes I think: What happened to them after it? Maybe something similar like in the "Wild At Heart"? :)
The ambiguity makes the ending so poignant The wedding interruption was all passion and no thought and the creeping realization of the consequences showing in the final moments makes this movie a masterpiece.

I am in "disgust" when people mention 'Disturbed' on this post ! .. That 'Disturbed' cover was absolutely pitiful .. This version of "Sounds of Silence" was so beautiful the way it was suppose to sound .. For those Millenials out there , Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel made this song beautiful :)

They took out all the harmonies in the disturbed version and made it way too slow, also, they added so much extra noise. It's supposed to be the sound of silence!!!
