This woman's nails are so ideally shaped- would you ever do a video on sculpting extensions on abnormal (like their nail bed widens, thin brittle nails, bitten nails, super short nails with no free edge, etc) nails? Would be so interesting how you handle those clients
He really takes pride in what he does, and actually tries to do his best at everything he does. I love that! Most of the time I've had my nails done I've had to come home and file and shape my nails. They will be all different sizes and shapes. Most of the time where I've been they just wanna hurry and get them done, not worrying about their work.... I'd love for him to do my nails! Even if just once!
I hear you. I've been so spoiled by RUclipsrs--professional or not--who can produce a perfect-looking nail. Then I pay $65 to get mine done ... they slap some gel over some tips ... no apex ... and I'm like, "What the h***! I can do THAT myself." Makes me so mad.
I paid $65 for mine last time and it was SUPPOSE TO BE pink and white ombre, they were terrible. And dude tried to use a white tip and I told him NO I wanted white powder and pink powder, he says "oh you want gel, I have to charge extra" I said again, pink and white POWDER, acrylic. He says "that's gel" NO ITS NOT. he used acrylic! And they were done quick and.... just a terrible job. I actually could have done better myself. And I told him what length I wanted, they was WAY shorter than I wanted. He actually said to me "you don't need them that long" and cut them.... the entire thing was just horrible, I wont go back, I'll do them myself. If i mess up it's on me and I'm not out that much money...... and he still ended up using a clear tip, I wanted forms with acrylic and he glued on tips and I got tired of arguing and trying to explain.
Shaynutt yep it can get expensive for sure. I started out with the cheaper stuff, it's not as good but to start out with and practice it served its purpose. I'm still not "good" at it but getting better. And better than I've had some so called professionals do..... I cant find any young nail stuff without having a license. I'm scared to buy it off ebay, worried it wont be the real stuff. I've just been getting my stuff at Sally's and some online. I'm ordering the opi absolute kit. I've heard it's pretty good and the price wasnt bad at all.
I have been doing my own nails and have NEVER come across a video that describes it the way you in do in such detail. Just did my fill and used nail forms to extend my nails, did everything that you said to the T and it was so very helpful!!!! I almost gave up in doing nails but you just gave me the confidence! Thank you so much!!!
Perfect Greg you are a fantastic teacher your explanation is always spot on .Love watching you teach how you do nails. It my favourite channels and I look forward to :-)
Of course I would choose the most difficult shape to love (but since my lifestyle requires short-short, even oval is out of the question). Beautiful work, Greg! Love it. You sick perfectionist. :)
Thanks Greg even though I do not use acrylic. I always enjoy watching you, and I still learn something with each video even when acrylic. So I have the exact same piece of furniture that you have in the back corner of your salon with all the drawers. I’m really curious what you keep in yours LOL do you show. Have a great day everyone. I’ll see you in the next video :)
I love square nails and the coffin shade as well. I always would turn my square nails all most rounded on the corners because I didn't keep the file straight like shown in the video. Thanks so much for helping me with this technique.. I know better so I will do better.. Love all you guys @Youngnails
Amazing information!! I have worn my nails square for years I thought. 💭🤔 I was wrong!! It was taper square!! Gregg this is a very pretty nail. Thank you for all the great information!! ❤️❤️❤️
You have the best technique I've ever seen !! Just by watching your videos I was able to make my cuticle area perfect the first time I made an acrylic nail.. thank you so much for sharing your knowledge ☺
Your videos have seriously made me successful in building nails and not over filing and so many more things.. I absolutely cannot thank you enough and I cannot wait to try your products!! I've tried to order in the past but for some reason you don't ship to my area even though I'm in Canada but I WILL find a way somehow!!! 😆
Goal to achieve at least one of my nails to look like this... cause i looked at all 10 of my nails and cracked up. Mind you this is the 2nd time I've ever done my nails. I did realize I e-filed a little too much on my polygel and got a white spot. This training is amazing. I did do my first refill pretty good on 3 nails..i had lifting on my first time too much slip. Thank you again.
@@youngnailsincI figured let me get these poly gel nails down to perfection before I move on to the IBD hard gel I already purchased. Thank you so much tasking the time out and responding. I'm waiting for my fan to come based on your response. Be safe..
I sculpted square nails. I have to shape them Now but I should’ve pinched them more at first. It was my first time doing sculpt. Just a part of learning
Your a great teacher, thank you Greg. Quick question, how do I know when I can use a bigger brush? I'm using a #6 and #8. 😊 I feel I need to pick up a lot of pearls, not sure if that matters .
I used to leave my file just like that and boy would I have nicks everywhere. I virtually attended nail school and booya! No nicks nor cuts, had my nails for a month and no lifting. Doing my own fill on Sunday.
amanda steuver we have quite a few shapes on Nail School... some earlier vids on specific shapes... let us know additional shapes what you’d like to see
I think you nailed that one. We have gimpy fingers with nailbeds going whatever the heck direction they want to. Even if I come straight out from my sidewalls, I have a nail shooting off just enough to the left or right it makes me CRAY-CRAY. LOL. Ah, just wait until we have arthritis, ladies; let the adventure begin. :/

Thank you so much for this! Is there anyway we could get a nail school covering hand filing the body of the nail versus using the efile?
Great info!thanks!
Omg that's beautiful😍😍

Your a great teacher, thank you Greg. Quick question, how do I know when I can use a bigger brush? I'm using a #6 and #8. 😊 I feel I need to pick up a lot of pearls, not sure if that matters .
8 is a great standard size, our new 12 is very user friendly because it pulls out into such a fine point as well as being bigger
Thank you for sharing 😍💜

Any chance you'll do all the shapes, and also do them if you are using tips.... Especially coffin...
amanda steuver we have quite a few shapes on Nail School... some earlier vids on specific shapes... let us know additional shapes what you’d like to see
YoungNailsInc I'll look more into it. I really struggle shaping my coffin nails... They are never the same. Sculp or tips...
My favorite shape! Can we use tips to achieve this look too? Thank you ❤️
Sure
Perfection!
Is there a video of the hard gel version of this?
Thank you so much.
Very helpful thank you!
❤️❤️
Hi I’m a new follower of YN, may I ask why you guys always use the ahier nail form instead of regular acrylic tips? Just curious 🙂
Here is a great video: ruclips.net/video/ee30k9eSl_k/видео.html
So, i got a doubt: in this case of square nails, the nail form is tilting up, down or stay straight? Thanks!
straight :)
great info
ArKristic Nails ty
Thank you for this
Do you pay your hand models or is the full set their payment
Or is the one finger their payment? ;) Sometimes I wonder if Tracey has up to 10 completely different nails at any given time.
I absolutely loveeeee your forms but can you guys add numbers & make them longer than size 7 😱😱😱😱
Thank you!! And great suggestions!! Noted!
Yes please
I was blowing on the screen to get the dust off 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♀️
lol
I literally get sooo confused about how to get crisp edges and sharp corners while still accommodating an intense c curve. Like it gets soo wonky lol
Hi. What is the name of the jar you have the acrylic liquid in?
A ceramic dampen dish. Can be purchased at www.youngnails.com
@@youngnailsinc thank you so much. Will be purchasing.
Can those bits be used on other drills?
beautytrendz101 yes
Gregory Salo thank you!

I don't do nails with form I do it with tip .i wish there would be a tutorial with how to do a square shape with tip
We have this one. ruclips.net/video/ZnohsSoacoc/видео.html
@@youngnailsinc thanks ❤
😁
Omg he’s soo rough it’s giving me anxiety 🥴 her poor finger
Maybe perfectly square shaped nails are hard to do because humans don't have perfectly square shaped fingers?😉

This is my least favorite shape. Everybody loves it but when I can convince them to try a different shape they always love it. Smh lol
I love YN but guys, come on, your forms are way too short.
You can easily customize them to create double or triple stilettos
