I have 12 plants since February! And 4 of them are different pothos varieties. Your videos have been incredibly helpful. Looking for my next plant for my birthday this week 🙂 can’t wait to come support a local torontonian when you open !
I really like that Velcro plant tape that you have around your aloe vera. Are used it on my tomato plants. I think I have every plant you have, thanks for the tip about going to IKEA, they really have some good plants and they are usually at a better price than Home Depot or Lowe’s. Besides they never water the plants at Home Depot, LOL. Half the time they’re dead!
I LOVE plant yours and LOVE your plants and space, especially, those cabinets!! And yes, losing plants is like losing a plant child, I can relate!!💖🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wow those plants looks great. Especially your Cebu blue that started from a small cutting. Your String of hearts is always a goal for everyone, thanks for sharing your plant collections and can't wait for the next one 💚🌿
I neeed the silver knight 😁 Scindapsus are my favorite. Right note I’ve got 3 varieties. I wish you shipped to the US. I’m so happy for you that your shop is getting ready to open. 😃
Thank you Christian for the tip about underwatering vining plants producing runners. I finally understand my amydrium medium and cebu blue. And how i'd love to get my hands on a blue oil fern.
I can't wait to see the shop, I only recently found your channel after I got a variegated rubber plant! You helped me a lot and I'm hoping I don't kill it lol. Take care and stay safe
I love the tour! I have most of my plants in white pots. I've had plants since I was a teenager (I'm in my 50's) and yes, sometimes plants die and it hurts. Nice to hear others have the issue and feel the same way. Your videos are great. Thank you
In one of her last vlogs, wildfern used a method with a warm wet towel to make her bird of paradise leaf to unroll! It was really cool, worked right away
Whaaaaat?! Thanks. I was trying to figure out where the views were coming out. I don’t have a google feed so didn’t know it shows up there. Thanks for this. 😁
@@CrazyPlantGuy This was the first time that I have seen a video from you, on the feed........thought it might make your day to know?! Your California friend. 🌸 😊
Thanks so much Christian, your plant collection is so amazing, and I have always enjoyed seeing all of them. I have a 5 inch pot of the string of turtles and she is pretty full on the top, I have found that if I take and wind some of the trails around the top of the pot they will root and keep the top of the pot looking full, it is in an east facing window that gets good light but not right on it, I do try and not let it dry out too much because then it drops those little shells like crazy, I must be doing something right because it keeps giving me those crazy string blooms. Thanks for a great video and I look forward to your next one, take care sending love and hugs, bye for now.
CPG - thank you for that warning at the beginning of your video 😂😂🌱 Loving that treubiii dark form scindapsus !! Can’t wait for Aug 15 or Sept 1 🙌🏾 I will be there….🌱🌱🌱
I am in Toronto and love your videos. I was telling my husband that you have that "Toronto" vibe even before I knew lol! I cant wait to shop at your store. What a great accomplishment!!!
I can identify with “why did u die on me”. I’m trying desperately to understand gardenia temperament.. very finicky! Keeps getting yellowing leaves tho new growth present on every stem/branch. I’m trying to raise in my sunroom cuz outdoor temps too high. I definitely sympathize..but you’re so great with everything!!
Love love love your plant tour!! 💚💚I have a few Peperomia Caperata’s and they don’t want to be repotted from their nursery pots that they come in. Plus, I noticed that their watering has to be done strictly right before they dry out. They definitely are divas, but have pretty foliage!
I’m so happy for you!!!🤗 Only wish I lived in Canada so I could shop your plants. 💚 I got an almost bald Ficus Triangularis an set out in the sun an it’s almost full bush again. Wishing you the best an that your shop is huge hit! 🤗
Thanks Sherry. I tried putting out my Ficus Triangularis outside to get more sun and the leave burn, I might have to slowly introduce them to acclimate them to brighter light
Omg what! I had no idea you had an online store and that you’re from Toronto!!! As a fellow torontonian I will be checking out online and visiting as soon as you open!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️
String of Turtles care from my experience: they tend to like a little extra humidity; I have one in my bathroom with a skylight so it gets A LOT of bright light. I also have one in my kitchen hanging above my sink in a west facing window that is lightly shaded by trees. They also don’t like to stay dry. I actually don’t wait until the leaves are squishy, as soon as I notice the soil is completely dry, I water thoroughly. I have them in a very airy soil mix in terracotta.
It is hard not to take it personally when you lose a plant despite your best efforts to keep it alive. It took me some time to realize plants will rather die than be alive and not grow/do well or look good. I always learned something about specific plant care in the process of trying to save a plant.
They like higher light. The string of turtles that is. Once they get more light it will grow faster. I got a tiny plant last year and it’s grown into a big one that I’ve propagated several times. Super easy to prop. Just lay the strings on top of moist soil and give it good light.
Good morning 😁 ...well, at least it is in southern California as I type this. This was a fun, interesting, and informative article that came up in my Google feed on this early Saturday morning, so YAY!! I've had plants around me since I first moved out of my parents' house &+ years ago 😉 and have fewer than I've ever had right now... no reason in particular, just, you know, life and all. Anyway, I'm amazed at how you are able to rattle off the scientific names of all those plants - I used to be so proud of myself in that I could tell you the difference between a variated and a non-variegated pothos... there are so many different varieties! 🌱🌿 🤷. I was blessed with 'dumb luck' in being able to grow so crazy many wonderful plants - over 100 at one point - for so many years. For the first time in my life (yeah, really) I'm growing some ivy I mean it's just going nuts! Never ever could NOT kill one in the past. 😞 Now that I think about it, 🤔 maybe it's my mom from heaven as ivy was the only plant she COULD keep alive! So that's all... I just wanted to thank you for having us all over to your house to meet your family. Please count me as your newest subbie, 'k? With love from the Southern California desert, MK ♥️🌞🌵😁😎🏜️🌡️ Oops, wait! 🤦 I do have one quick question 🙋... towards the end of the tour you were showing us some cuttings and young plants. What was that light brown hay-colored stuff? It looked to be very loosely packed. Was it sitting on top of soil or something? Very interesting, VERY cool! Thanks again. 🤗 😚😁
My grandpa was the plant guy in the family. So it was also cool to take on the hobby and been such a rewarding experience so far. The brown potting medium you see is sphagnum moss. I like to use these medium to grow cuttings and or further delivery the roots on some of my houseplants 😁
Marble queen is the variety. Snow queen is just the name given to a highly white variegated marble queen. Not a cultivated variety. Hope that helps. I'm not an expert. Just a plant nerd
I wish I could come to Canada just to go to your plant shop 😩 lol your bird of paradise leaf that hasn't unfurled made me think of a video wildfern did. She got a towel wet with warm water and it popped open after a few minutes of the towel being on the leaf.
Give this video a like 👍🏼 if you like plants 🪴 😁 Also how many plants do you have in your living room?!

More than I can handle 😳like they are slowly taking over my house
About 100 I think
I have Around 24 of them in my living room and still have lots of room for more 😅😆
I have 40 plants in my living room.
That disclaimer 😂😂😂
He has the most creative opening scenes on RUclips.
must resist to buy lol
I love it 😂
Bahaha that disclaimer at the beginning 😂
the viewer discretion at the start is pure genius and hilarious. Plant videos always make me want to buy plants and add new plants to my wishlist!
I never get tired of plant tours 😍
The intro disclaimer was totally needed!!!

Wheeeeeeee I love plant tours 🌱☺️
When you repot the turtles keep the soil moist until he settles in. Same with all peperomia ❤️. That has worked for me 🤩
Congrats on the upcoming plants shop! If I was in your area I would grab a cebu blue pothos in no time!
Awesome tour. I enjoyed every bit of this video🪴💚.
Happy Father’s Day you’re the best Dad for your plants 🌱🥰♥️

Ooh I just loved ur intro......u r a cute plant guy
I decided to sign-up after reading your disclaimer before the video. Brilliant!!
Congrats on the physical location, so proud of you. That marble queen over the short milsbo looks like a Jesenia.
Love all your plants .. I have 40 Indoor plants and growing . It’s winter down under so madly trying to keep everyone alive until spring . 😀
Nicely done video. My plants were taking notes. I like your picture on your wine rack. Nothing better than sharing plant love with plant people.
Thanks Barbara. I actually found that painting from a street artist in Helsinki over 10 years ago. Love it so much.
Good art eye!
I love all the beautiful plants and your apartment is very nice
So beautiful plants you have my new friend.👍😊
I can't wait to see the shop, I only recently found your channel after I got a variegated rubber plant! You helped me a lot and I'm hoping I don't kill it lol. Take care and stay safe
I also love how you give tours, succinct yet thorough!
I've never had luck with peperomias until I got a raindrop peperomia. It is gorgeous and thriving, is now one of my favorites.
This guy is so awesome. Besides his love for plants, but he’s memorized the names of his plants. 🌹🌹
I love when you say...."I'm just kidding" 😄
I think the unknown scindapsus at the end is silver splash!
I think so too!
Late to the comments but I agree!
nice collection my friend, love your organization
I just bought 3 plant babies today.so excited to watch them grow.

I am so proud of you for following your dreams. Good lock with your shop.
We love your details and personality. TYVM!

The Peperomia prostrata needs brighter light. Put a grow light on top of it.

that variegated whalefin, what a looker!

You can only be really good at one type of string of. You’ve got the SOH down, so that is it for you dude. 😂🤣
Haha, that’s fair 😅
Beautiful plants for your store!!! Wish I could buy from you 🙄🌱❤🌱❤ live in Southern California...
