  • This is the second half of the video. The first part can be found here: • Early Summer Look at t... This part contains the original rock garden, the back side of the ditch garden, the vegetable garden - then a missing section because the GoPro corrupted the files - then wraps-up where I removed the wisteria earlier this year. The sunflowers in the mass planting are starting to bloom as of this writing as are many of the container flowers, so I may do a short focused on them soon. 😊🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Hi Mojo, I don't think I have a favourite fruit really as long as they are ripe and sweet I'm happy, You mentioned marigolds in the flower garden do you have the french and the African marigolds I believe the Africans are quite a lot bigger.

Thanks Larry, I have no idea what type of marigolds they are. 🤔 I don't believe the packets mentioned the origin, but they are for sure hybrids created in America. My daughter picked them up because they are smaller to us in the container. In about a week they should be in full bloom! 😊

How do you get rid of the milkweed? It started in my front yard the years ago when I didn't know what it was so I left it that year. The next year I saw how invasive it was so researched it a bit... Oh boy. I dug down so far but couldn't get all the roots out. Help!!!!!! Please😊 again what zone? I'm 5b.

I am in zone 4a. All you can do is keep pulling them as soon as you find them. Their rhizomes are relentless and it can take forever - like playing whack-a-mole 😑 The seeds also float in on the wind so if there are plants nearby, they will keep reseeding your garden.

@@PlanetMojoCommon milkweed is a huge help to the monarch butterfly population, so I tend to let it spread.

@@jned3967 It is insanely invasive. I keep it out of the garden, but it grows all over the place around here - far more than the monarchs use.

@@PlanetMojoOh I understand why you do it, your garden areas are more cultivated than mine, my goal is always just native and milkweed works well for our areas, and many other wildflowers on our property are also holding milkweed back from being too invasive, luckily.

@@jned3967 We let the milkweed go the first two years, and it went everywhere - most of our little front yard had constant sprouts. Our neighbor did the same thing, and now mows the area as it had taken over. It is just too insanely invasive in this area, and will choke-out everything else. We let it grow elsewhere (I love the smell of milkweed flowers), but not in the native grass areas. 😊
