    Amazing! I'm in the west valley and am seeing huge growth out of all my sugarcane varieties. This humidity is helping so much

      Awesome! What varieties do you have working for you out here?

    • @bigpapaplantman5126
      @bigpapaplantman5126 6 месяцев назад +2

      @ALLDRAINSEMERGENCYPLUMBING I have one that I got from Shamus that is a black sugar cane variety. I believe it's either Thai or Vietnamese. And my newest variety is purple Hawaiian. Surprisingly my purple Hawaiian sugar cane is the most hardy. I've had my black sugar cane for a few years now and unfortunately it is dying from red spot fungus

      Hello @bigpapaplantman5126, thank you for watching and commenting! I appreciate your kind words, that is amazing that you are seeing such growth on your sugarcane. I have been thinking about planting sugarcane but not sure if it's worth it. Would you recommend? I agree, the small increase in humidity during the monsoon season is definitely helping all my trees too.

    13:56 is this what you called "sweet granadilla" in a previous video? Were you able to confirm which type of passion fruit this is (edulis, ligularis, quadrangularis)?

    • @thegreenyardaz
      @thegreenyardaz  3 месяца назад +1

      Hello @chosen2030, thank you for watching and commenting! This is a different passion fruit vine than the one I planted and called a sweet granadilla. This one is a yellow passion fruit. I got mixed information from the nursery I bought it from, originally they said it was a sweet granadilla and then they said they only sell giant granadilla. So I’m thinking it was a giant granadilla. Either way the vine unfortunately did not make it through the summer last year. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    What's the name of that highly scented flowering plant near the huge mulberry?

    • @thegreenyardaz
      @thegreenyardaz  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello @geriannroth449, thank you for watching and commenting! I believe the plant you are asking about is our Michelia Alba. It have very fragrant, small white flowers that can be smelled all over the whole Green Yard when they bloom. Hopefully this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

      @thegreenyardaz lovely thanks so much. Does it grow from seeds? Does it grow into a fluffy sprawling vining hedge?

      Hello @infallibleProof, thank you for watching and commenting! I do not have a Mamey tree at this time. I do have several other Sapote trees though including a Black Sapote, Chico Sapote and White Sapote. I'm hoping to get a Mamey someday since I do enjoy the fruit! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    What varietiy of papaya is that? Do you have frost protect?

    • @thegreenyardaz
      @thegreenyardaz  4 месяца назад

      Hello @lisawen4754, thank you for watching and commenting! I recently did a video all about growing Papaya's in the Phoenix area, which you can view here, ruclips.net/video/xhWxQgQIgBk/видео.html. From what I was told from my local nursery, this is a Mexican Papaya. I have not frost protected these trees because they are a little to big to fit under the frost cloth. They are placed in a good microclimate though that stays slightly warmer than the rest of The Green Yard. Let me know if you have any other questions.
