Nice filming Ade. Look forward to seeing the problem fixed in part 2!

I had this issue on mine, thinking it was the lever in caliper. Brand new caliper with lever fitted and issue still present. Turned out to be the cable. Caliper only cost £53 so no biggie

I had the same issue and the garage near mine is a major one with a really good reputation used them loads and they said that it was a seized calliper. They replaced it for about £250 which I thought was really expensive but hey its they're required cost including an OEM part.
Now the other one is going or gone and I'm going probably now to replace it myself as I don't want to pay for them to fit and throw away about £200 to put a new part on but yeah that was in 2021 on a 2008 car.

I know garages have to make money (had my own some years back) but my mantra was to do a good job at a good price...I shudder at what some people charge for a 10 min job :😒

Many Audi's i have owned have had rear calliper issues...the 80 was the worst, They used to freeze up in bad weather 😬

@@AdeReeves ahah funny you mention the 80, was my first car 20 and some years ago but at the time I was living in Portugal where temperatures are very nice so I don’t remember any problem about that but I just don’t get it how Audi engineers still doing it after this problem being almost a signature on Audi. In my opinion is a mathematical fail on leverages applied, I rather have two or three more clicks on handle but more force applied on callipers because if I go crazy and pull it really hard with two hands it does hold the car but of course no M.O.T technician will be ok with that!
      Great video btw 👍🏻
