Yaesu needs to bring back FT 857 but SDR it would be there biggest seller ever and make them a fortune. I have no idea why they dont want to make a fortune , Madness :-)
I think the VHF/UHF rigs need to have bluetooth so we can program them via our cellphone when out of our normal area like I can with the $30 TID radios!
I was talking to a couple blokes in the UK on 28.310 today from the mobile as I was heading home from todays hamfest in North Carolina. 10 was wide open
I would be all for digital voice if: 1. It sounded as good or better than Yaesu Fusion Voice Wide (VW), and 2. It wasn't tied to a single manufacturer. DMR, Yaesu Fusion, D-STAR, P25, NXDN, on and on... fracture the hobby. We need fewer little niches. I think most use analog FM still because it is manufacturer and radio agnostic.
Lulz, sir you have A LOT of hts! I don't have half as many, yet my radio desk was full 2-3 handy talkies ago. We do share an affinity for the FT1-DR. I continue to see it as all the things I wished for the excellent VX8, which I still own. I own two FT1s, in fact 😊 Cheers, and thanks for the vid.
iam an icom fan but i had a 991a and loved it. if the 710 had been an 991a upgrade. i would, no hesitation buy one. i sold the 991a and bought a 705. bad idea 991a shack in a box tick, 100watts tick and build in ATU tick. the 705 needs an amp and atu more weight more boxes and more wires. wish i hadn't bought it. i don't work a lot of radio so one modern sdr nice looking shack in a box would do me. come on yaesu get your act together. customer waiting for you.
the screens are cheap it is the firmware and chip that expenso i believe , Fred in the shed came out with a new video on the new rig that has came out and the cable costs £15 quid . I have plenty of them cables in my box of cables i do not throw any away .
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones i hoard cables and the cables he use for the firmware are different to the ones used , but i have them , but to be honest why does a cable cost 15 quid , when it is a quid to make etc then to sell retail.
I wish Yaesu would come out with another tribander, (meaningless to you in the UK) but over here it's nice. But this time do it right because the US version of the old VX-6 has our USA 222 band but the transmit power was limited to only 1.5 watts max!! The 2 meters and 440 bands were both full 5 watts. And nobody has ever figured out why. I do like my VX-6 though, overall. I bought our USA version of the expensive Kenwood TH-D75 mostly because of the full power triband on it. Not so much for the DSTAR, because I'm not into digital much. I can't get the DSTAR to work on it anyway!!!
My understanding was that they discontinued the FT-818 because they couldn't get parts for it anymore. I'm pretty sure the FTX-1F is the replacement for the FT-818nd. I doubt Yaesu is going to do anything else with the old design of the FT-818nd.
Always a company what to sell in a first place ....and the question is if a newly Yaesu 817/818 with modern features will sell as well when they have many radios that do what the 817/818 do but but not all in one as the 817/818 so they sell more different models also if they made a full spectrum new radio will the solds of other radio still rise? I don't know the answere....but it is one way to think about Yaesu line up.
no big surprise its nothing new they are just replacing current models, the FT-3165RASP replaces FTM-3100R and the FT-3185RASP replaces the FT-2980R, the FTM-150RASP. could be a re-introduction of the FT-8800/8900 style
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones yes thats why I said FT-8800/8900 STYLE, I have the blue display FT-8900 remember, the FT-8800 was dual band and came before the 8900
Yaesu, are you watching and listening? Ft-819 please. Listen to this man.
Hi
I love these videos, may you continue to waffle for decades ahead in health!
Lol yes I talk too much lol

Agree
Agreed Andreas, keep it simple, effective and well priced. Cheers.
🙂👍
Cheers
That's a decent looking set of radios you got there 😊
Thanks
Just wished we had a 2m mobile that did FM AM and SSB
Yes agree

Yes be good.
The Bluetooth also needs to be able to stream audio to a car's audio system.

Yes so good i was listening.

Yes agree they should have all used one digital mode .
Would be great if the radio got SSB
Yes

Agree
710 is dx10 lesser sibling! Only HF. Why will 710 be a 991 upgrade!

Long term demand may win.
I would love to see a icom 7000 MK2
Yes that radio was so good.ruclips.net/video/PxX62YGFfVw/видео.htmlsi=7OSoSFEZpENWNyPF
991a updated with sdr tech would be a super radio, i will get the 150, seems a gd bit of kit
I rather have a nice yaesu ft891 modern
I’d be on the waiting list now if the FTM-150 had APRS. Don’t need fusion and prefer the orange screens at night.
Yes
Thanks Andra. Now I want to get one, I don't have the FT1. I can swap my FT70 with an FT1.
Yes do it .
Wonder if there's some way to tell Yaesu this, could we get enough people to email them or write to them or whatever and ask for the '819?
Yes do it .

I want an FT-100, the 857d display is too small
Ok

Yaesu h/h radios aren't so good on battery life, and they need USB c charging, though that can be done via the power input
Eventually all will have USB C
Andreas, your video is flipped horizontally, and audio volume is quiet, on this video
Ok thanks will do it better .
I love my ft2d I have 2 of them ft5 is great but not my ft2d.
I still have ft2
@HamTechRadioScannerDrones they are great be safe my friend 73 for now ka4fla.
No SSB, No 6m, No 220. 🐃💩
It would be alot more money.
Buy Baofeng all the way. They are much much cheaper that the Yaesu/Icom/etc stuff.
Yes look at Quamsheng aswell .
