I love it that Munky STILL to this day whips out the OLD SKOOL Ibanez Universe (from the self titled & peachy days) on very, very, special occasions!!!
The concert of Woodstock 1999 could have been so much better. You know, if it didn't get totally out of control. I was like 7 or 8 at the time, didnt even hear of it until a month ago. Never commercialize Woodstock, is the valueable lesson we learned here.
GO!...OMG i so love this breakdown. Good old memories, since head left the band, korn isn't the same anymore. I don't say they are not as good as before, but they change too much their style
After LimpBizkit....I knew Korn was going to be much more than I could handle!! I had a hard time getting out of the GIANT Mosh pit!!!! By the time this song was over I got away from the stage but still swimming in people all the way back. I could see the people all thrashing their heads at the break of this song....what a sight!!!
They did change significantly. It's obvious that a great deal of what made Korn what they were was Brian. It actually saddened me when I listened to "see you on the other side" and "untitled". So much was different - but still good!! I think they still have a great deal of life in'em.
oh and another thing, if you get a chance to see Brian in concert, jump on it. I saw him two days ago in Dallas and it was the best concert I've ever been to. He's a pure natural and filled with love. It was like watching a dear friend of mine on stage, no separation at all and purely spiritual. I'm too old to be jumping in the pit though, lololol the pit kind of scared me haha otherwise, fantastic. I'm still pumped up from it.
woodstock 99 was for the 90s generation of kids, just like woodstock 69 was for it's own generation kids in the 90s were pissed off for not being understood and being depressed, and the bands at 99 are all for that group of kids
it's really cool to see them at the beginning of their fame, you see a lot of bare skin where tattoos will come later, also the "normal" hair of some of 'em. but eventhough they changed fisically their sound never really changed. love the band
The lyrics make me cry. Been there. :*( I LOVE the music itself, though. I'm against what Korn stands for but props to them for inventing a new sound. Dang. Gotta love nu metal.
i would of done anything to go to woodstock 99, great bands ther, KoRn, Bush, ROCP, Bestie boys, offspring (who i just saw live a few weeks ago =D) the only thing better then woodstock 99 WOODSTOCK 69!! damn i wish i could of gone to both lol
Wow, how cool, man wish i was there.. me and the other millions. Couldnt help myself reading the comments, rhcp ar kewl, if it wasnt for flea, Fieldy wouldnt play like he is now. but thoose are different genres of music.. and korns genre rocks ;]
yeah the original woodstock was 3 days of peace love and music, and just that, no security and nothing, it most likely will not ever happen again, and i would be surprised if it did
God Damn that fucking mic!!! I can't guess how many "FUCK" he said during those 10 seconds! At 0:48 is fucking hilarious! He had just said "I think u all know this fucking song" and BANG! " How many times have I... " WHAT?!?!??!?!? OPS ^^. DON'T WORRIE JONATHAN WE STILL FUCKING LOVE U!
wow... watching this brings back memories of alt radio turning into rap/rock radio and all the garbage that was happening with music around this time... As much as I somewhat liked Korn I was never into the rap/rock. Still am glad I saw the whole Woodstock 99 on ppv.
Saw them live 5days ago, best band alive, and that ever has and will be alive. I thing... i wish JD never did some of the tatoos on his right arm, these days it looks like some1 have puked at his arm, no hard feelings JD, your still my idol, and will always be.
actually, both of the singers (John Davis, & Marilyn Manson) kinda idolize each other on the music they make, so it is understanding that they kinda sound the same (why like some1 that make music u hate lol), they r buds tho
You cant really say that because they changed a lot over the years so did their style of play so of course something like this witch is around the time they released follow the leader would sound very close to the studio sound
Nu-Metal needs to make a fukin comeback. Head get back in KoRN, and Wes you and Fred need to put your shit aside one last time and make another kickass album.
Yeah well I need to come over all the way from holland so it will take some time. and my school starts in 2 weeks so I got an excuse to skip my classes
I agree with you saying he's good bassist. His style is truly unique, he slaps the string with his thumb and plucks with his pinky. But, you can hear bass in many other bands and that's the only place I disagree with you.

They did change significantly. It's obvious that a great deal of what made Korn what they were was Brian. It actually saddened me when I listened to "see you on the other side" and "untitled". So much was different - but still good!! I think they still have a great deal of life in'em.

I love that he wears a kilt on stage fucking awesome!
woodstock 99 was for the 90s generation of kids, just like woodstock 69 was for it's own generation
kids in the 90s were pissed off for not being understood and being depressed, and the bands at 99 are all for that group of kids
there is so many people !!!!!!!!!!!

Holyyy Shit.... i had no idea you can put a bass that low and make it that insane and awsome. jeez god i love Korn
after songs like this, u really know why korn were such a massive success, they were just the shit back then
it's really cool to see them at the beginning of their fame, you see a lot of bare skin where tattoos will come later, also the "normal" hair of some of 'em. but eventhough they changed fisically their sound never really changed. love the band
The lyrics make me cry. Been there. :*(

The 90s looked fun haha
cause they were
The last decade that had culture......
I'm low on sleep and just realized how odd it is that one day Jonathan decided to start wearing kilts onstage. Bold choice.
Korn at their best. Fuck Yeah!
yeah the original woodstock was 3 days of peace love and music, and just that, no security and nothing, it most likely will not ever happen again, and i would be surprised if it did
3:17 kicks so much ass. thats classic korn shit right there. they're new shit cant live up to this.

@h0f0sh0 yeah, noticed that too. he did the same thing a few more times in this concert, like in "good god" and maybe other songs.
@ThePspdog98 Nope. The tattos Fred has done for korn is on Fieldys body :)
wow... watching this brings back memories of alt radio turning into rap/rock radio and all the garbage that was happening with music around this time... As much as I somewhat liked Korn I was never into the rap/rock. Still am glad I saw the whole Woodstock 99 on ppv.

actually, both of the singers (John Davis, & Marilyn Manson) kinda idolize each other on the music they make, so it is understanding that they kinda sound the same (why like some1 that make music u hate lol), they r buds tho
You cant really say that because they changed a lot over the years so did their style of play so of course something like this witch is around the time they released follow the leader would sound very close to the studio sound

I agree with you saying he's good bassist. His style is truly unique, he slaps the string with his thumb and plucks with his pinky. But, you can hear bass in many other bands and that's the only place I disagree with you.
@mcwilsam This was a demo version of the song, it was before the song came out bro.
@satinsguard VERY well said. Kudos.
woah i think this is the most accurate live version compared to the studio version
Correct.
@jamzban1 in a interview they said they were exstreamly nervous
that´s true about the 8 strings. But it's just in a few songs of the untitled, Like hushabye..

ahahah i love how he screweed up the first little bit of the verse and just mumbled the rest
they just know how to do a blitskrieg. . . . korn born to burn. . .
@petsBenham Lol he's wearing a kilt. Kilts don't have pockets so they wear a pocket/bag like that to put shit in.
is it just me or does korn sound like marilyn manson.
i've known them for awhile but i just noticed his voice is similar.
