Yes, agreed. Miss Jamaica was so natural. She wasn't over doing it, nor was she trying too hard. I find that some of the contestants (Miss Argentina, for example) were trying too hard. It didn't come off as natural. Plus, Miss Argentina didn't answer any of the questions. She rambled instead.
Jamaica was the fave for me here. Very articulate and natural in her diction, very poised, seems to be very well rounded and confident in herself. I loved that she interjected in her answer how she would use her platform to make a difference in the world. Not just answer why she made the change from engineering to food, but how it ties in to her Beauty w/ a Purpose work. Excellent. Argentina is very passionate as well. I have to give credit to all the ladies, especially since English is not the first language for most of them.

Jamaica did a phenomenal job! Her answers were genuine and had the right amount of personality and warmth and she was to the point in her responses. Czech Rep also did well, but I'd give the edge to Jamaica.
Miss Jamaica really stood out here. I love her authenticity! Her story is also very relatable. So many of us went to school to pursue studies outside of our true passions. Miss Jamaica is the CLEAR winner in this group. Having biased people vote is an injustice to the best contestants in the groups. I hate that Miss World is asking people to vote. It means that countries that live for pageantry or countries that have large populations will go through. Stupid. That means that Miss Jamaica, the obvious best in this group, won't go through because Jamaicans are not interested in pageants, like say people in Philippines or Thailand, and their population is less than 3 million people.

So while I would agree with your summary about pageant loving countries or those with large population, I wouldn't say it's stupid. If they had used fan votes to select from a say a top 40 or top 12 then I would say it's not fair at all. Bear in mind it's use to select one of 40 candidates going through to the next round so in effect Miss Jamaica just needs to be among the top 39 candidates based on the other selection criteria. This selection (fan vote) process is not really to select the best candidate because every fan will vote for his/her country irrespective of how that candidate perform against the other girls. Plus notice they don't ask the same question to each candidate as well to get a true measure to compare and contrast. This particular aspect is just to get fans involve and it's much better earlier in the competition. Miss Jamaica should make it to the next round so don't worry my friend.
