    I'm damn near 50 now. I have done a lot of things in my life. Not very often I see a job that impresses me much anymore. This is one hell of a gig. Congrats to all you have done to get to where you are.
    Oh and to counter a point I see below. There is a whole lot of value in silence... IE not talking. The radio chatter is all a person needs to hear to know what is being done. Their eyes are all that is needed to see how you execute the input to get the desired output. The music in the cabin, the acoustic qualities of the cabin. That is what it sounds like, that is the job, the environment. Far to many people want this finely curated distraction pumped into their brain... Zen is being in the moment.. not trying to make the moment fit them.

    I was in the Coast Guard, stationed at Governors Island and interacted a bunch with the tug operators, and all of them were old types. If I had seen one guy your age, I might’ve gone this way. Really cool, and thanks for posting.

      The USCG used to visit my school on Governors Island pretty often, we had a maritime program operating vessels and scuba diving right off the pier!

    Nice video. I have stood on a bridge many times in the past as tugs did their job. I would really like you to make a video to explain the power plant and how you manoeuvre one of these tugs. They are so different to standard vessels.

    I love it when he picks a spot and keeps on it. Watch something inside like one of the wiper bits and compare it to where it stays in relation to the ship.

    Love the music choice! Being a younger guy and the top dog i can only imagine how hard you have worked over the years to achieve that position. I am a equipment operator and the controls and engine compartment seem so interesting to me. If you ever get a chance that would be cool to see how the controls work and what size engine and all that stuff.

    Holy hell times have changed i used to work at the dry dock at pearl harbor, Hawaii than at Pier 21 and all i did was repair tug boats being at peir 21 thats all we did. The captains seat did not look like this. Look like the captain was going to war lol this is sweet aloha 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾wait is that reggea music i hear lol yeah you we jammin

    Great content and fascinating job. One tip, use a lapel mic maybe a rode wireless go II so we can hear your voice it will make the video pop. Sound is everything.

    I love tug boats!
    I live in SE Alaska, I’ve been on. Couple tugs, ran my uncles seiner a few seasons. I’ve been all over Prince of Wales, Sitka, Petersburg etc in my boat.
    This looks really fun!

    I enjoyed your video very much, I wanted to work on tugs when I was a young man but a distraction came before my dream but I enjoyed my career path all the same. I would like to make a few suggestions if I can? 1) As the video goes can you explain what you are doing in real time?
    2) Can you turn off the music it's a distraction, You know what you are doing but we don't that is why we are watching you, I have never seen the inside or the operation of a Tiger tug I find it VERY INTERESTING. 3) What Harbor are you working out of? I would also find that interesting, I wish you well, and thanks for the video. PS Speak up you are hard to hear and It's not me I have perfect hearing,
