She probably didn't say anything about her extensions because there is a stigma in the loc community about starting with extensions. I started my loc journey with extensions and I've loved every step of the journey! Its still a journey regardless of how you start it.

Yes, charge extra for your travel, gas, and your time(175.00)!

  • @carmelitasingleton1381

You’re absolutely right! It do seems like you’ll be missing the beauty of the growth process! I also feel like the extension will be too much weight on the locks..

  • @plumercrs1386

your locks are beautiful and full in the crown. I’m so discouraged because my locks are thin in the crown area and now I’m noticing the back and sides aren’t as full as they once were. I’ve been locked 5 years. I’m thinking some of my locks need to be combined, but I don’t know. Thinking it through. Yes, I’d say charge a traveling fee on top of your regular fee.

Extension is a personal decision…yes charge her extra for coming to her! Charge the going rate for reties…Dnt sell yourself short….inflation is real so your business prices should reflect that as well….its business

  • @reneemoore5395

Your locs are beautiful. Your clients should always be transparent. You definitely should charge extra. I pay $150, and I shampoo my own hair.

I want to start by saying your locs are pretty. Now, I am a loctician and I do all types of locs. I was a beautician for 30 years and loctician 14 of them years and still counting, I feel like it is a personal preference on how people want start their locs. There is no one size fit all, some people want to start theirs with extensions because the awkward phase or the short look don’t fit everyone and some want to start with their own hair and that’s fine. I think all locs are beautiful when did right, extensions or not , everyone’s journey is different. I don’t judge anyone’s journey .And yes if I have to travel, I charge a traveling fee

  • @carmelitasingleton1381

Wow your hair is beautiful and the growth is amazing!! Girllll I be waiting on your videos! 😊😂😂

  • @tonyaholman9153

    1. Your client should not add hair. In my opinion, she is not embracing the process to see what hair will do on its own. I can understand if she had a condition where she had too.

  • @vanessaw.3777

Yes you need to charge her. Your hair is beautiful!

  • @ranellaflowers9156

Your Sisterlocs are gorgeous I love ❤️ the red color fullness and healthiness. Your client has microlocs with extensions not Sisterlocs. I was told that Sisterlocitians do not add extensions due to the small loc size and it’s against the bylaws to install extensions. She better hope her locs don’t fall out from the extensions weight. If you are traveling to perform your Retie services then yes charge the client travel fees. Good luck.

  • @nukindabeets191

A travel fee is more than appropriate. You have to consider your travel time. The extension should have been disclosed to you as well so you could consider the history of her hair. I say trust the process but it is a personal choice. It was good to see you again.

  • @ChrissyAnn85

If she’s always late I would just drop her as a client 😂😂😂. I’m sorry but she’s cutting into your time and your other clients time. Yes, you need to charge a travel fee. Gas ain’t cheap. As for the extensions I’m personally not a fan. I remember when I first considered getting micro locs I wanted extensions for the esthetics. But I’m glad I didn’t do it. Adding extensions doesn’t allow you to see the actual process of locking. Some of my loc ends closed and others didn’t. Some may never close.
