I purchased the locs, but now I’m debating on if I should go get starter locs and then install extensions myself or if I can just do the parting myself like you. I’m scared 😅 Thanks! They look great. You did great!
Do it but you can also do the starter locs yourself and wait for a few months and then you install the loc extensions that what i did i already have locs myself but i had to cut some of them due to thinning and since i didn't want to start over for a third time i decided to keep the locs i had on my head and grow out the back and sides of my hair and i two stranded my hair and even instant locked them up myself and i went another 2 months for them to loc my hair grows fast 😂 so i went ahead and cared for them as i normally do i washed them and retwist them then two months ago in December i ordered my new loc extensions and installed 30 locs now i did have slippage and i crocheted them back to my hair so do what's best for you but to save money do them yourself and i love them ❤️

I just put my locs back in myself. I wish I pre sectioned of my hair. It would've saved a lot of time. I have the same needles as well they are much quicker than the one. I know have 82 from having 114.
What size and style of loc did you get , it looks really good !!

Yes you can definitely wet your hair with the extensions! I would just suggest to wait at least 3-4 weeks after installing so you can give your hair time to Loc with the Loc extension. If you wet it too early you’ll most likely get slippage.

Hi Miss emoni I love your hair I love your locs and been subscribed to you and keeping up with your journey I too got loc extensions and and I installed them myself I have locks myself 9 years now but I had to cut some of my actual hair due to thinning and I should have done my research and you know saved my actual locks that way you know when I did grow up my hair I could have put those same locks but when they hit the trash it's it's too late so I said that's all right it's just hair you know my hair grows fast and fast it did I grew my hair out for 4 months well the back and the sides I still had I had like an undercut so on the back and the sides so I would shave the sides and then I just kept the back you know trimmed down with my razor blades so anyway I said well no no no no no it's time it's time you know it's just to grow them back out so I grew my hair back out and in like 3 months time when I say my hair grows back fast my hair grows back fastwithin those three months time I grew my hair out and picked and picked and combed you know and got my little self a little puff so I said okay now it's time to lock them up so because my hair is straight yes I'm Jamaican decent but my hair is curly I don't know if that's the mixing me or not you know but I said well you know we're blended you know I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm you know my heritage is blended is what I mean I mixed but with what I don't remember I think it was West Indies native in me and something like that but anyhow so I had to really like you know instant lock them and see if you know it will actually look so it took a while it took a few weeks before it you know actually like gently Matt together so long story short I bought the loc extensions in December they came before my birthday which is on the 29th of December so they came right right before my birthday so that was good and I installed all 30 of them I bought 30 just in case and I installed all 30 and I did not have any of them slip out I had to add my on due to my hair breaking off like I said because of like my realhair due to weakness but I fix that so I will maintain my hair as well until it completely forms forms together so good job on your hair and well well well well well well done to and of course welcome welcome now to our loc nation

Does anyone know if you can add extensions to two strand twist starter locs?
I love how yours turned out but I already started my with two strands myself and it’s been a couple months so my hair is already starting to loc.
The only thing I’m worried about is if you were to attach Loc extensions to your starter locs you’d be able to see the difference between your locs and the extensions because the extensions are matured locs. You said that your hair has already started locking, so if you can no longer see the form of your two strand twist then I think you’ll be alright! ☺️

Are the locs soft to the touch? Or are they kinda scratchy/dry feeling? I have loc extensions that are scratchy and looking for better ones

Quick questions, my neck is very sensitive to coarse hair and I’m trying to look for loc extensions. Are the texture of them soft? They look very airy as you said but do they scratch your neck as you move around?
The texture is very soft actually. It will still scratch your neck until you wash your hair a couple times but it’s not uncomfortable at all. Now it doesn’t scratch my neck it’s been almost two months

For the amount of strands it really depends on the size of your head. I ordered a 100 locs but I have a small head so I didn’t use all of them. The length is 16inches

Ok, I had locs previously and I just cut them off I wanna say about 2-3 weeks ago so my hair is currently growing out, so how long do you think my hair should be before I install the locs? I plan on ordering the anwi locs in 0.4cm because I feel like they’ll resemble my natural locs more.
Honestly you can install the locs if your hair is at least 4 inches long

Good question, I’ve seen someone Loc their hair while it was relaxed before! You’d have to instant Loc your natural hair first with a crochet needle before adding the extensions though. That’s the only thing.
