It took me about 5-6 years to get through menopause. Find a loctitan who will cut your locs into a style. Someone in the comments suggested a pixie cut. Go with whatever cut suits your face. You don’t have to just let your locs grow out of control. You have options besides just cutting off your locs. I bet you will be over loose natural hair in less than a year. Focus more on what you have got going for you. Good luck loc sister! I have microlocs (only 212 locs) ❤

When my sisterlocs were long, I cut them into a bob and I was able to enjoy them a little longer before I finally cut them off. Do what works for you in each season of your life.
We are the same person 😂 I’m turning 50 next month. I’ve had my Sisterlocks since May 2020. Our hair is the same length and similar color. I also wear my hair with a side part like yours when I wear it down. I usually pineapple my hair and wear it like that. Sometimes I wear a cute headband or headwrap and let my SLs hang over the top. That’s the only thing that is saving me right now because I hate most of the elaborate loc updos and styles. They are beautiful but not my style. I have considered cutting my hair too but moreso because I got haircolor too early in my journey which damaged my hair and affected the integrity of my locks. I would love to do the journey over without color damage but I don’t have the heart to do it all again. PS. We are the same down to collecting shoes, bags, and watches. I have a few glasses but I collect perfume more. I love coats too. 😂😂😂

I'm hoping to see how long mine can get in another 8-years. When I was a loose natural, my hair was mostly long past my bra strap mid back. So I can't wait to see how long they can get. But I'm very simple. I just wear mine down and a loose ponytail for work. I didn't even noticed mine how grew until someone else mentioned them. 😊

Please don’t cut your Sister Locks I went through the same situation the hot flashes my hair is all the way down back very time I say I’m cutting my Locks I change my mind.Just Cut your hair shoulder length and it make work. I had standard locs, got them in 1997, cut them out at the 25y mark. It was nice and now time for another season.

micro locs is the bomb! IMHO But thicker locs are really on trend now too.
