Dear Sister, you don't need to apologize. Our hair is our crown. Do what is best for you. God bless you and your hair looks great.

My loctitian asked what your decision was . I’m glad that you did what’s best for you.. We all know what it is to have to cut our hair out need vs choice. And all the emotions we have from our hair and how pretty or confident or not we feel. The braids are beautiful! Don’t give up on locs but do take your time

Thank you for the update. I am glad that you did what was best for you. I ended up paying to have mine repaired and it was more than the establishment cost. I have a new consultant now.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m researching now on who to have do my micro locs and the research part has been very frustrating from finding a loctician, planning around protective styles to get a consultation, paying for multiple consultations in order to find an ideal loctician who’s hair philosophy and schedule aligns with mine .. the research part alone is a journey in itself! 🤦🏽‍♀️ .
Best of luck with this fresh start ❤

I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same thing you did if I had done in the same situation.

I'm glad you found peace with your decision. Not feeling confident in your hair is the worst feeling ever!

Including my own experience, I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about getting an install/maintenance from sisterlocks trainees smh. I’d say unless you know the trainee personally, just wait on an opening for someone who is fully certified.

There are some trainees who are beasts! I'm a trainee and would have NEVER done this to anyones head. Did you look for her on the Sisterlock website? Unfortunately you found a bad apple but not all trainees are out here messing ppl up. I hate that happened to you. Be blessed love.

I hope that was the case. The ones in the back on my hairline also had product build up in them.
