I’m considering getting sisterloce or microlocs… my natural hair is an Afro but now as an adult (I’ll be 21 in May) I don’t like having an Afro anymore, so I’ve been doing my own twists but it takes me forever to do them & then I find myself redoing them every other day or even daily (fixing the loose & unraveling twists). I’ve done multiple types of braided extensions, sew-in weaves, & twists but never had people who could do my type of hair (I’m from Colorado *moved to North Carolina in June 2023) so most of my life I had no one who had actual experience (they were used to straight to wavy hair *1a to maybe 3b) not 4a to 4c •& my hair has multiple hair types, front half or so is in between 4a/4b the back half is 4c•*). So I have a LOT of trouble with my hair…
Hi beautiful! 🤎 I hear you about the twists. I’ve literally told multiple people, instead of doing mini twists, just get locs lol if you like the twists look on you then you’ll definitely love the loc look and have much less maintenance! I’m sorry you’ve had those hair struggles. My hair is somewhat of a mix like yours too. What’s holding you back from moving forward with locs?
@@kahinamatata Mainly money, I do not have the finances to do them. And I have so much going on that I need money for that adding something like this (microlocs or sisterlocs) are just impossible right now. But I do love the twists look (got some twists right now actually cause it’s definitely easier but I do keep redoing them constantly which isn’t good for multiple reasons😮💨).
I understand that. It’s definitely a sticker shock. What are your thoughts on DIY microlocs? 👀 could work well for you since you’re already used to doing twists

@@kahinamatata Doing twists already takes me 10+ hours, I can’t imagine doing microlocs, & I don’t have that kind of time.
